“Frenchie’s hands down the best restaurant in town and beyond. I’ve had amazing burgers and wings. The throwback tv dinners are also a favorite. I love it’s Time Machine like atmosphere that takes me back to bygone era. Do yourself a favor and drive over here. It’s worth the trip. It’s also affordable and reasonably priced. It took me a long time to discover this place. ❤️❤️“
“I ordered for take out for the first time last night and OMG the food was delicious. Chicken nachos and chicken Parm. The man who helped me there was very kind, and props to the waitress because she was busy but also stopped to welcome me and talk about the food I ordered. Very wonderful experience. Highly recommend, and if you go there please give them a good tip, they deserve it.“
“We recently stayed at the Ransom Bay Inn on a cycling trip to Montreal. What a pleasant experience. A great historical building, quiet serene surroundings, and the most gracious hosts. And to top it off a great breakfast to fill us up and get us on our way. Could not have been happier.“
“This place came recommended for breakfast by a local person and I'm thankful he recommended. Staff was very friendly, seated promptly and they kept the coffee flowing. Good breakfast selection, typical items for a diner although I didn't see grits on the menu. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. Corned beef was fresh, a little under cooked for my taste and temperature was warm versus hot but still tasty. Eggs were cooked perfect. My friends all enjoyed their meals and the pancakes are gigantic! Plays stays pretty busy for breakfast but our waitress never skipped a beat. Serving time from order to table was good. I didn't like the orange juice, on the bitter side. Coffee was good, diner style. The place can get noisy when everyone is talking and there are two televisions on mute that allow you to catch up on the news and weather while enjoying your meal and company. There is also a dining counter in addition to the dining area and I believe I saw some outdoor tables out back. One of our party used the restrooms and said they were clean. Quick tip - you can save a dollar or two if you pay cash vs. credit. Parking lot was adequate. Across the street is a great cider mill with a great retail store, fresh pies, honey, cider, homemade doughnuts and good gift selections.“
“First time here since the new owners bought the place. Very quiet for a nice Saturday evening when the place used to be packed.Bar service was extremely slow. Looked like there were 2 people working the front & there was a party in the back room with about 15-20 people.Only 2 draft beers on tap (Bud Light & Miller Lite) & were told the other local/regional craft brews were out and they didn't have others to replace with. Being the only bar in town, the draft selection was a disappointment. Bottled beers were offered but are 12 oz rather than a 16 oz pour for a little more money. Beer prices were average for the area.Pizza was good but when we asked for another one we were told that it would take too long & the kitchen was closing. Chicken wings were very good.I may be a bit biased because we frequented this establishment under the prior owner and it was always quick service while being much busier.“
“Nice little spot to eat. Everything I saw them bring out of the kitchen looked fantastic and had good portion sizes. I got their lunch special, which was spaghetti. It was delicious. I'll definitely be going back. Their pies were amazing by the way.“
