“I visited this restaurant with two girlfriends on a beautiful summer day and sat outdoors. We had the tarragon chicken salad wrap with fries and the BLT with sweet potato fries which were delicious. Our server did a great job and there is plenty of parking. I hope to return soon!“

“We love the Essex and come here every time we travel to VT. The staff are responsive and friendly, the rooms are clean, cozy, and comfy. The one warning we would give is to say that the price that you book for is nowhere near what you get charged for at checkout. There are extra add on charges on the bill that “tax” your imagination. Just be sure to ask up front.“

I asked why we are being charged full price she responded, "You lucky we open" No! you're lucky I paid the bogus bill of 52.00 for lunch for 2. Oh, they now add on 18% gratuity automatically, you have no say about it.“

“Stopped by Sweet Simone’s a few weeks back while in town for a golf trip and happened to catch their Aperitivo event (the oysters were on point). The atmosphere was amazing, the people were welcoming, and the food was spot on. We made a point to swing back the next morning to try breakfast and pastries, and they were just as impressive. Fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. They actually had a bagel flavor of bacon/egg/chese which was awesome. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll be glad you did.“

“I stopped there recently with my girlfriend and we both had western omelets that were fantastic. Mine was the best omelet I've had in quite a time. The eggs were fluffy and seasoned very well and all of the other ingredients were fresh and flavorful. We ordered directly from the cook who was very friendly and kind, in a cute little dining room that was playing the classics and was so quaint, homey, charming and friendly that we've already sworn we would go back. I cannot recommend highly enough. Please check it out, you won't be disappointed!“

“Got the Thai chicken on curry and cheesesteak on white. Both big and tasty, but 2/3 of the Thai was rice and 2/3 of the cheesesteak was filled with lettuce. Curry wrap was good! If there was a little more protein in each and chicken wasn’t bland I’d go 5 star. Still a solid lunch spot.“

“This review is long overdue. Visited the last week of June. We stopped into Burlington Bay while trying to escape a surprise downpour and I’m glad we did!

We only had a few minutes, so we ordered fries, and WOW… the portion was huge! They were delicious, and the team was friendly. Definitely a great spot to grab lunch if you’re in downtown Burlington.

“My husband and I tried the Guild the other night to celebrate my birthday and had an incredible meal. We ordered drinks, the Steak Tartare, rolls, the filet minion special, the ribeye and finished it off with orange crème brûlée and the Guild sundae. “I’m in town briefly while my dog is having surgery at a specialty center. I wanted to grab a quick breakfast before picking him up to go home. I mistakenly stopped at a different cafe down the road, was greeted by staff not wearing masks and arguing with each other. I paid for my food because I was caught off guard and didn’t eat it. Found Williston Coffee Shop and immediately felt like I was in the right place. Staff was friendly and polite, wearing masks and keeping customers safe. Food was so amazing and fresh, and coffee was awesome! I’m so glad the first place didn’t work out, because my tomato basil egg sandwich was incredible. I know it’s hard right now, but you guys are doing a great job keeping everyone safe with your extra protocols, and it shows. If I come back to town I will come back, and anyone that visits the veterinary practice will get a referral to your coffee shop from me!“

“We were visiting from CT in search of a quaint place for breakfast. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the spicy bloody Mary's with their house made jalapeño infused tequila. The breakfast food was fantastic. The bacon was crisp, the homefries spicy and filled with the right amount of flavor, and the corned beef hash was a great Irish Breakfast. Our server was fantastic! She offered us several suggestions on places to see while here such as going to Burlington and seeing the lake views with the mountains. What a great find!“

Can't take coupons at the bar unless there is a manager present, so that's annoying.It's an overpriced restaurant for the quality of food they serve but it's a game center so people will still buy. “Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.“
