“Stopped by Sweet Simone’s a few weeks back while in town for a golf trip and happened to catch their Aperitivo event (the oysters were on point). The atmosphere was amazing, the people were welcoming, and the food was spot on. We made a point to swing back the next morning to try breakfast and pastries, and they were just as impressive. Fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. They actually had a bagel flavor of bacon/egg/chese which was awesome. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll be glad you did.“

“One of my favorite spots to have a beer after any activity. Plenty of seating generally (live music sometimes the exception) and if the day is busy (ie Saturday) plus its nice outside it doesnt hurt to call to make a reservation just in case.

Ya, it is a bit pricy but this is not Taco Bell. Go completely to the other side of the spectrum, add some Phish & Buddha & you got Big Spruce ❣️❤️‍?❣️ No, not done. This organization continues to evolve. Soon they will have many new and exciting offerings. They are feeling there way meticulously in order to offer you and me the best possible, highest quality experience. We were told the same owners we did not have the pleasure of meeting thus time, however, Bella one of their daughters is seriously an angel on earth ? Apparently, these folks own and run, hands on, the Restaurant across the street too!“

“Being highly allergic to onions I made that clear to the waitress, the cook accidentally added onions by mistake. The waitress caught it and had the cook recook mine and my dates meals all over again. The namager actually came to our table to explain the situation and apologized for the mistake. Owning the mistake was a huge deal for my date and I. Much appreciated for sure. That screams how well these folks at this Williston Vermont location care about their customers. I give the staff 2 thumbs up I'd rather give 6 but I ly got 2. Lol thank you to the staff at this location.“

“Great food, friendly service, very reasonable prices. That's what keeps me coming to Papa Nick's, usually once a week (more often in the summer). And I have to drive over the mountain from Fayston to do so. I love this place--Voula does a fantastic job. I just wish they could some day go back to having their Greek Nights on Thursdays. (They do have occasional Greek entrees but it's just not as predictable as it was before the pandemic. Then again, nothing is...) Highly recommended!“

“We were visiting from CT in search of a quaint place for breakfast. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the spicy bloody Mary's with their house made jalapeño infused tequila. The breakfast food was fantastic. The bacon was crisp, the homefries spicy and filled with the right amount of flavor, and the corned beef hash was a great Irish Breakfast. Our server was fantastic! She offered us several suggestions on places to see while here such as going to Burlington and seeing the lake views with the mountains. What a great find!“

“I’m in town briefly while my dog is having surgery at a specialty center. I wanted to grab a quick breakfast before picking him up to go home. I mistakenly stopped at a different cafe down the road, was greeted by staff not wearing masks and arguing with each other. I paid for my food because I was caught off guard and didn’t eat it. Found Williston Coffee Shop and immediately felt like I was in the right place. Staff was friendly and polite, wearing masks and keeping customers safe. Food was so amazing and fresh, and coffee was awesome! I’m so glad the first place didn’t work out, because my tomato basil egg sandwich was incredible. I know it’s hard right now, but you guys are doing a great job keeping everyone safe with your extra protocols, and it shows. If I come back to town I will come back, and anyone that visits the veterinary practice will get a referral to your coffee shop from me!“

“Simply the best sandwich place around. The bread is absolutely delicious and is what pushes their sandwiches to a 10/10 instead of just an 8 or 9. Everything else is cooked and made perfectly; excellent portions and reasonably priced. Service is fast and tireless, they work hard and it shows. I don’t often tip for pickup service, but I always will here, and at 20%+. Highly, highly recommend Paisley Hippo.“

“I visited this restaurant with two girlfriends on a beautiful summer day and sat outdoors. We had the tarragon chicken salad wrap with fries and the BLT with sweet potato fries which were delicious. Our server did a great job and there is plenty of parking. I hope to return soon!“

“We love the Essex and come here every time we travel to VT. The staff are responsive and friendly, the rooms are clean, cozy, and comfy. The one warning we would give is to say that the price that you book for is nowhere near what you get charged for at checkout. There are extra add on charges on the bill that “tax” your imagination. Just be sure to ask up front.“

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.“

“Amazing place really. I wasn’t expecting a ski mountain to have such an amazing restaurant! The James Moore tavern is fantastic. I ordered the Smashburger with fries and some unique morsels known as duck rangoons. The burger had a crispy patty that was seasoned perfectly, as well as onion jam, a brioche bun, and garlic aioli. The fries were crisp and flavorful and the duck rangoons were fantastically unique and delicious. Sadly they were out of their butter cake but the peanut butter pie was delicious. Probably the best ski food I’ve ever tried!“

“Seen this place all my life and never once ate it. Now I'm almost 40 and am halfway across the country from my home state of Oklahoma and I finally found a BBQ joint that hit the spot in Vermont. The guy who made our food was funny and very helpful on our questions about their products. I ate my brisket sandwich and put it down halfway when I came back to it it was cold but was so delicious I will make the 3 hour trip here again and again thank you guys so much.“

I asked why we are being charged full price she responded, "You lucky we open" No! you're lucky I paid the bogus bill of 52.00 for lunch for 2. Oh, they now add on 18% gratuity automatically, you have no say about it.“

“The food was good, I went here with a couple of my friends and the server seemed rushed and somewhat judgmental of my friend despite it being not busy. Atmosphere was alright. There’s TVs at each booth so you can watch sports. Only complaint was that the TV stopped working halfway through our meal. The food is not bad at all. I got fish tacos and they were delicious. My friend got some mozzarella sticks and the cheese was very gooey. Overall, not bad, we probably caught it on an off day.“
