“Great little spot! We ordered their breakfast sandwich which they make fresh daily and keep in a warmer, so they gave it to us right after we ordered! That’s a huge plus if you don’t like long waits. It didn’t take away from freshness or delicious flavor either. We also got an iced latte with their homemade caramel and it was so yummy. Perfectly caramel and not too sweet.I would 100% recommend this hidden gem!“
“Came in on Saturday night with a party of 6, including 2 kids. They were short staffed due to illness and we had to wait longer than we expected. Staff were very kind and professional and food and drinks were worth the wait. Very high quality food and cocktails. Excellent beer list. We’ll be back!“
“Stopped late last Friday. The bartender was awesome. She matched our groups energy and was fun to exchange banter with. Ordered a pizza while my friends tried wings and appetizers. The pizza was called the round barn I think and it was amazing. Food came out quick and although I didn't try the apps or wings, my group loved them. Beer was cold and prices were reasonable. Glad we discovered this spot. Will definitely be back! Thanks again to the bartender! You made the visit even better!“
“Only 4/5 as my first experience was a let down ordering out during those wretched COVID years and feeling the food lacked in flavor and quantity. I live in the area and wrote them off for a while.Boy was I wrong! Everyone has off days. These folks are friendly as can be, their beer club collaborations are not only fun and unique but GOOD! The staff is super friendly and always working together to a new cocktail.Last but not least, every time I order food, it seems to get better. Stone Corral is finding their groove...looking forward to being along for the ride as a fan and customer!“
“Food made me giggle it was so good. Super friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall amazing expereince.*First time eating Filipino cuisine.Ordered Vegetable Lumpia to start. Didn't totally blow my mind but it was tasty, I liked the crunch on the outside and the Atchara (the sauce on the side, a pickled papaya) was a refreshing balance. For the meals we shared the Bicol Express and Tapsilog.I tasted the Bicol Express (deep fried pork stew in a coconut milk, shrimp paste and aromatic spices, orderd with white rice) first and was absolutely blown away. I don't normally like shrimp because of the texture but this was excellent because it had the fresh taste of shrimp without the texture, and then it had the sweetness of the coconut and a little kick to it. The pork was perfectly crispy which went well with the wet stew.BUT THEN I TRIED THE TAPSILOG (sweet-salty peppery beef, crunchy garlic rice, and a runny fried egg) And oh damn... immediately made me laugh I was so happy. The beef was tangy, garlicky, rich, addicting. Then the fried egg dripped into the amazingly garlicky rice. The most beautiful flavors blending into one.My friend took the Bicol leftovers but you couldn't pry the Tapsilog leftovers from my posession if you tried.“
“Really happy with the first visit to Jericho Cafe and Tavern. The place has a really great vibe and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We started with some tasty chicken wings and our dinners arrived quickly and were also very good. It was a weeknight, so we didn't get a chance to hear any of the live music but it looked like it would have been a ton of fun. Would definitely return!“
“Consistent and reliable comfort food, with Greek options to boot. Competent and friendly staff, and a nice community scene. I’m so glad this gem exists. They also absolutely and deliberately understand gluten-free needs (their baked haddock is a g-f staple of ours).Dietary restrictions: They understand gluten-free. Not a huge list of options, but the staff won’t steer you wrong either.“
“I absolutely love this restaurant! We usually always get take-out, but the times we have eaten in, the service and atmosphere was great. Presently, I am on an especially difficult diet, very similar to Keto (absolutely no sugar or carbs) and Longhorn is one of the only places I feel I have options, and can confidently order, and don't have to worry about hidden sugar or carbs. You would think that maybe all steakhouses would be fairly safe on a Keto diet, but comparatively to Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn has so many more healthy options. Not only are the steaks simple and absolutely excellent, but they also have multiple FRESH veggie and salad options, that just don't exist at Texas Roadhouse (their veggies usually appear frozen, kind of grey, and often over salted).Firstly, we normally always order 1 Ribeye and 1 New York Strip, and split them. Reason being, we LOVE the tenderness of the Ribeye, and how it just melts in your mouth, but the New York Strip has a stronger steak flavor ?. The combo gives us the best of both worlds! My kryptonite is definitely their French Onion soup!! They are happy to accommodate my dietary needs by removing the crouton and bread crumbs ? I'd say it's one of the best French Onion soups; it's very rich, well balanced, and just irresistible! My partner ALWAYS orders their Mac and Cheese, which he describes as rich and simple, but tastes like it's authentically homemade, especially with the bread crumbs ontop. He also loves their Lobster Chowder, which he describes as being too good! I will say, the 10lbs he's gained this winter may be solely attributed to Mac and Cheese & Lobster Chowder combo ? I think he'd say it was worth every pound though! As I mentioned, we normally do take-out. Their website and online ordering is very streamlined and easy, and allows us to save our favorites for future orders on our account. They also provide a curbside feature, where you just text them upon your arrival, letting them know what spot your in, and they normally bring our food out within 5mins.I would highly recommend it, especially if you are on a Keto diet/dietary restrictions - they have many more healthy side options than other restaurants in the area.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options, Carb/sugar Free options, Candida friendly options“
“I ordered the bacon egg & cheese croissant sandwich and a small maple latte to fuel my long & grueling day as an art vendor. The sandwich was large & filling & really great (worth the extra couple bucks for the croissant). The latte was well made and was a little on the sweet side, but the maple flavor was really prominent“
“Food was delicious!! 10/10. Dined in on a Saturday night, it wasn’t too busy and I appreciated the quietness and the lighting is chef’s kiss. However, the service was seriously lacking idk if it was just our server and they were new, totally could be the case, but they need more training. They didn’t have many answers to basic questions, a few different times they stood there smiling/laughing saying “I don’t know” instead of offering to ask someone else (the kitchen or a manager ?). I literally had to ask THEM to ask someone else multiple times. Kind of strange imo.“
“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.“
“Well, to start the first 3 beers I asked for weren't available, even though they were on the menu. The salad was old. Had the redish tint to all the lettuce. Had it been on my fridge, I'd have thrown it out.The service was slow, but good. If that makes since...The steak, the reason I went there, was actually very good. Mashed potatoes also. And of course the rolls... so good. I would go again with lower expectations and no salad...“
“If you are looking for fancy atmosphere, you're in the wrong place. If you want a tasty burrito, give The Firebird Cafe a try. This converted service station is a little funky but I loved my burrito. The rest of my party seemed to really enjoy their food as well.“
“I got my MAC delivered and it was cold, which seems to be consistent with other reviews. It still tasted good though as far as flavor, I got the buffalo Mac. But I am confused on the toppings…who puts Celery and carrots in Mac and cheese..?? Like am I eating Coleslaw or Mac and cheese ??.“
“I personally love that they take your order right away. If you go during peak hours of lunch or dinner the turn over for the food is pretty good. I also really like the weekend food options for Friday-Sunday. I've gone other days and didn't have a problem with the food. Just liked the other options offered only on weekends more. Never had an issue with the food.“
“First time trying it out. Nice menu selection, and we're very accommodating with customizing a sandwich.Bread is nothing special, but the turkey is great, the bacon was perfectly cooked, their selection of aiolis are refreshing and the dill pickles are delicious. All for a great price in a tough economy.Little out of the way for my but totally worth the trip, hope to be back soon.“
“Perhaps too little, too late but it will forever be a sad spot for me and my family that we didn't discover this amazing Essex gem sooner when we moved here and can't continue to have many meals here as a family. A true family place, Cody's had excellent food at a great price, top notch service, and some excellent music always playing in the background. Cheers to making an amazing ☘ mark on our town!“
“I was surprised by the variety of their menu and very happy with the food I ordered! We had the rosemary chevre dip, halloumi kebabs and Thai peanut chicken tacos. Everything was delicious, and the local beer selection was excellent. Friendly service from Kevin at the bar, too! Looking forward to my next visit.“
“Usually have a great time there. Our first bartender Matt was fantastic. Very personable and made us feel welcome. The second one, Brendan not so much. He definitely did not have the right attitude for the hospitality business. Maybe he was just having a bad day?“
“My husband and I absolutely loved this place. It's St. Patricks Day, so we tried the ruben egg rolls, I fell in love with them. He had the Philly and onion rings, and I had the American burger. Itwas the best burger I have ever had while eating out 10/0. It was huge! My husband said his Philly was a 10/10 also. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was amazing. Our food was extremely fast getting to the table. We are not from Vermont, but we come several times a year. And this will now be our go-to place to eat.“
“Our new favorite! Our son was diagnosed with Celiac this year and we were hesitant to eat out. Jules has been wonderful for our whole family (mom, dad, 5 year old and 18 months old). It is a little quieter atmosphere which made me nervous the first time we went but the staff and other patrons have always been so kind and welcoming to our kiddos and small amount of chaos they bring. The gluten free menu, including kids menu is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable. The desserts are a highlight (we are fans of the gluten free carrot cake). It has been terrific to go out as a family and have equal options for everyone, thank you!Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free options, knowledgeable about the restrictions and cross contamination risksKid-friendliness: So kind, last time we wrote letters to Santa and they had a special mailbox, well about a week later Santa had written back. My son was thrilled!“
“We threw a surprise 30th birthday party here. Anita helped us plan the whole thing, she was available for any question we had and had great suggestions along the way. Lilly was our waitress and killed it with service! Very quick and always with a smile. And of course great music! Definitely would recommend planning a party here.“
“Came for a Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. I had challah French toast. Mimosa’s were wonderful. The lay outs a little strange and felt less intimate than I like, coughing children in close proximity but over all a lovely spot.Kid-friendliness: Lots of young loud and coughing children in close proximity. Maybe have a separate “family friendly” area for people who want to bring their 5 kids to Sunday brunch?“
