“Went on a busy Saturday night, it was very hectic in there, but not like in an NYC type of way. Everything was honestly organized, and people were getting their food and drinks in a timely manner. Wasn’t a fan of the “Figgy Smalls”, tasted like medicine, but the Dark Cherry Bourbon Sour was amazing. The Grouper was amazing sitting on top of the risotto, perfect for a fall evening. They do not have enough wait staff, baristas, maybe even cook staff. The one waitress they have literally is everywhere. First time, long wait for food and second time, long wait for coffee…Went during the week both times and many customers come in for coffee to go… strongly suggest more baristas to handle both seated customers and to-go-customers These issues make me hesitate to come again even though the food and coffee are great! ?? There are plenty of other good breakfast/brunch spots nearby that are just as busy that don’t have these service issues. If fixed, this would be my main stay spot for brunch!“

The Skirt Steak Fajitas was a standout, featuring a bold and unexpected combination of flavors. The apple empanada with coconut ice cream was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal.

Our server, Sarah, was exceptional. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She even recommended the perfect to-go dish for our kids, the churros!

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

“I took my daughter and her friends here for a sweet 16 dinner. Overall one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. I made a reservation for 13 and spoke with William, who was such a pleasant gentleman. They called to confirm the morning of, and allowed me to bring balloons and a cake (store bought only - understandable) Every person here down to the waitress was amazing. They were accommodating, polite and just overall wonderful. Everyone had a smile on their face and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. Aside from the pleasant experience with the employees, the food was amazing. Good portions and very tasty. They also cut our cake for us (for a small fee) and served it at our table and sung happy birthday. I will for sure, be going back again! “I recently visited Tex Chicos Mex and had an incredible dining experience! I started with the dry rub wings, which were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor—absolutely delicious.

Next, I tried the birria tacos, and they were nothing short of amazing. The tender, juicy meat paired with the rich, savory consommé made each bite unforgettable.

I also ordered a steak burrito, which was hearty, flavorful, and packed with perfectly cooked steak and fresh ingredients. It was generously portioned and so satisfying!

On top of the amazing food, our server, Allie, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. Her great service was the cherry on top of a fantastic meal.

“The food at Brunch is delicious. It is a quaint little place in Sayville that you would miss if you blinked. The decor is fun and eclectic. Brunch does not have a tremendous amount of seating. The dining area isn’t big, so I think that lends itself to how fresh and yummy the food tastes. The menu offers the right amount of choices, but don't expect a typical diner menu. I think once word gets out, it is going to be hard to get in! It is a little diamond in the rough of Sayville. I do have one complaint; no parking! I had to park the next street over. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I needed a little walk after a full, yummy breakfast. I wanted everything on the menu, so I will be going back. No doubt about it. The staff is super friendly and one of them has BEAutiful handwriting (If you get the reference, you are my people!).“

“Breakfast is our favorite meal and we eat out every morning. Due to an early morning doctor appointment, we bumped into Buttermilk’s Kitchen. Great vibe as soon as you walk in….friendly and cheerful staff, nice decor, immediate service. I had the “The ‘Ol Barnyard”…..the sausage gravy was excellent with big chunks of sausage and super flavorful…..probably the best I’ve had here in NY and most of the South!!! The bacon was high quality and very tasty. My perfect over easy eggs were so fresh (yes, I can taste the freshness and quality just by having a bite of the whites!). My husband had a “Create Your Own Omelette” and declared that is was a “work of art” (I was offended because I make a darn good omelette and he never said that to me!) We were concerned about the “hash browns” because that usually means just cubed and fried potatoes, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the delicious shredded and seasoned, crispy but soft hash browns. Our regular coffee was good and hot, and they offer several “craft” coffee options. The Banana Foster French toast looked delectable! The lunch menu looks good, as well. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Dinner was excellent! Extensive menu. Ordered from the pasta section of the menu gnocchi a la vodka with melted mozzarella on top. It was delicious. There was an unprinted kids menu that included good items like spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, chicken fingers with fries, pizza, etc on the night we went. Chose the spaghetti and meatballs and it came with a large bowl of spaghetti and two giant meatballs. My portion was huge too. They were all about service. Very friendly and attentive team members. The restaurant was very busy, but the food came out relatively quickly and very hot.

The only reason I gave the atmosphere four rather than five star rating is because the front door area was so crowded and congested when we arrived that we couldn't get through the dense and unorganized crowd to figure out where the hosts and hostesses were to request a table. We had never been there before so we had no idea if that was a line for a table or takeout. Appears the front door has a take out order counter or area there. There was a back side door that we ended up using and found some hosts in the middle of the restaurant to ask for a table. To our pleasant surprise there was table readily available for us on the patio!“

“This is hands down the best soup dumpling place I’ve ever been to. I lived in Manhattan for 20 years and never experienced such authenticity as Red Tiger Their crabmeat and pork soup dumplings are the best thing on the menu. However, they have so many different ones to try. Everytime we come here we always try a new one.
