Generally speaking, though, I have found the McDonald's consumer experience to be just about the most fulfilling exchange between buyer and seller that exists in the world - wide retail marketplace, regardless of product category or geographic location.
Say what you like (or don't like) about the company's food offerings, I think from the standpoint of promises kept vs promises made, there isn't another corporation that delivers with the level of integrity and consistency that this one does.
Every retail operation, whether corporately owned, franchise-based or any other ownership model would do well to come within 90% of what I consider McDonald's to be... the "gold standard" of retailing.“
