“Everything you’d want in a small town bakery. Fresh pastries and coffee. Their babka is the best. I special order a box when I’m going to see family upstate. Their almond croissants are popular as well. Martine’s has a quaint and cosy atmosphere. They have a few small tables out front, if you want to sit and eat there. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars across the board is due to mediocre customer service. You’d expect a neighborhood staple like this to be friendlier and more approachable. Instead its small town bakery appearance and perfect vibe is maligned with its big city customer service. Quick, short and the sense that those working there are slightly annoyed they have to take your order or wait on you.
