“Best Chinese Food! I’ve been coming back and have tried many other places from Port Jeff-Patchogue. This one is by far my favorite. They are family run & They listen to your requests. They don’t skimp you on sauce or food. Their boneless spareribs are AMAZING. Chicken and Broccoli, has EDIBLE chicken that won’t gross you out. Their sesame chicken delicious and it’s not orange:). Soup broth is yummy and flavorful ! And their egg rolls aren’t filled with random , uncooked veggies. Everything is cooked thoroughly and great! Also they offer 5% off for cash payments which always feels good. I moved out of Selden but I still come back to grab some of this food! #YUM“
“Delicious food, generous portions and reasonable prices! We just finished our dinner and everyone is full and happy. Crispy egg rolls, savory fried rice and amazing sweet and sour pork…….so yummy! Thank you so much, we will be ordering again soon!!“
“Tonight we got to celebrate something very exciting. As many of you have known my daughter is a senior this year. Night she was accepted to her number one school, SUNY Cortland. We went to nishiki in Selden which was good not great. The chef was awesome and very entertaining but we felt the chicken was dry.We had a blast, and everyone was so happy. It's great to see her smile so hard!Congrats Gabby! You did it!“
“We have been coming to Domo for a few years now and have never been disappointed! Shelly and her staff are so welcoming, the sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious, the rolls are creative and unique, and the Omakase is a must for special occasions! We are so lucky to have found Domo!“
“Went here for my partners birthday dinner: insanely delicious food!!!! Had the Szechuan Tomahawk Short Rib (pictured below) and the a shrimp dish. The Szechuan Tomahawk Short Rib was out of this world!! The shrimp dish was okay. The spicy edamame was to die for!!!“
“Kira Sushi is a gem! The yellowtail jalapeño is an absolute must-try, bursting with flavor and freshness. And what's a visit to Kira without indulging in a sake bomb? It's practically a rite of passage! With impeccable service and an inviting ambiance, Kira Sushi earns a well-deserved recommendation. A culinary experience not to be missed!“
“It's a nice family owned place. It is the go-to lunch Japanese place for everyone in my department.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my dietary restrictions. I would recommend being knowledgeable about your restrictions because they are knowledgeable about what they serve.“
“A great sushi place with lots of great options. The service is excellent and the complimentary pieces were so good we ordered a whole plate extra. It was a shrimp covered crab meat with smattering of onions on top. Prices are great and this is definitely a hidden gem.“
“This was our first time coming. It’s a bit out of the way for us but totally worth the drive. The prices are great and the service is prompt and friendly. We had two appetizers. The edamame and the calamari. Both were delicious. My husband had kimchi soup and I had miso soup. We both got salads with the meal. My husband had shrimp teriyaki and I had a bento box with shrimp teriyaki, California rolls and shumai. Both meals came with white rice. The meal was fantastic. I had plumb wine and my husband had a beer. We have leftovers for lunch tomorrow ?. We highly recommend this restaurant. It also has a lunch menu but we were there for an early dinner.Parking: There is plenty of parking. I believe there were two handicapped spots and a ramp.“
“Went to try this place past week the food was good and we left full. We got a kick out of the robot waiters, wish one came to our table. We were a little disappointed we weren't able to order a cocktail as there was no bartender there. But, they do have coupons and the food is a great value!“
“I usually don't give out 5 star reviews, but when I do, it means its really good. So we ordered Hibachi, and we met this family, which for this we'll call Family A, we managed to bond with them a little bit.Kid-friendliness: They are really Kid friendly, the cooks usually play this thing were they cut up some zucchini, and they play this game, where you have to get the part of the zucchini into your mouth, they do this with everyone“
“Friendly and fast service, very attentive. Sushi and drinks were very good. They have a variety of places to sit, for example at the bar, in a booth, at a high top, at the sushi bar, or at a regular table. Everything seemed clean and well organized.“
“Love owner Johnny make you feel like family. Food is always Amazing and a huge variety and seasonal changes to menu not other places always the same and boring. I would highly recommend and say hello to Johnny and tell him big Joe says hello.Vegetarian options: Rolls, and they will make whatever you want just ask.Parking: Never had a problem finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly. owner Johnny gives kids a toy. My daughter loved it.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes all ground level. I have seen a few people in wheelchair there.“
“I came here for dinner with a friend. We opted to sit at the bar. Our bartender was great. I had a kani salad to start. I asked for it to be spicy. It didn't come out that way, but it was still good. There was also a lot of "crunch." Menu didn't specify crunch. I would absolutely order it again without the crunch. For my entree I had the monster roll. It was yummy and fresh! Great food and great service. I will absolutely return!“
“I love Hana's. I have been going here for over 20 years. It's a hidden treasure. My favorites are the Godzilla & the Hana Wings. Along with the Jimmy roll or any of the sushi. It is always fresh and great tasting. Many to choose from. The hot stone Bibim Bab delish! Just FYI - they don't open until 4 pm. Check the website. Parking is by Grumpy Jack's & you walk a very short path to Hana's. It won't stop you from going. ????“
“Came here on a casual night drive and by dinner time we didn't know where to stop to eat. We were driving on the 27A and looking for places for dinner and we came across this place with very good ratings. Food is very good and well made. The Miso soup was not overly salted as some other Japanese places I've been. The décor is very typical of Japanese as it has these semi private booths which I have never seen before in any Japanese restaurants. Really liked this place and service was attentive. Even though it's a bit far from where I live I will def stop by when I am near this establishment.“
“I enjoy coming here with family. I have been here multiple times and always leave satisfied with the food and the service. I was talking with my spouse just the other day about how good the food was and how filled and stuff we felt after dinner. I WILL BE RETURNING AGAIN FOR SURE! keep up the great work, Wasabi and ty for coming into our community.“
“Couldn’t help but leave this review as I’m devouring my bowl! The food is fire!? Not to mention how down to earth the owner is! I had accidentally walked thinking they were open because the open sign was still up and front worker had told me they closed. So I walk to my car start pulling out and the owner steps out and kindly waves me down. He then tells me to come back inside so he can make me a bowl! I highly recommend this place. Not only is the food amazing but the owner makes the experience of ordering a poke bowl so much less intimidating than I thought it would be. Being someone that isn’t too familiar to pair certain proteins and toppings together the owner was so amazing at suggesting different combinations! Will for sure be coming here more often!“
“We have had a couple of our regular haunts for sushi, and had a menu from the mail from Mizu, so we ordered to-go. The selection was better than many of the surrounding sushi joints in nearby towns, and it the rolls were better overall. Prices were a bit less, but it also helps that they give a 10% discount for online ordering. And, online they also gave a free appetizer if you were over $50. The garlic roll was interesting, and unique, and the menu has a decent number of non-tempura (fried) cooked rolls which is a nice change also. Inside the restaurant there was only a couple of tables, so they probably do most business to-go.“
“Osaka Japanese Restaurant is a true gem! The Avocado Crab is to die for – a delectable combination of flavors. Their sushi is fresh, and the ambiance is delightful. Friendly staff and consistent quality keep me coming back. Five stars for this culinary delight!“
“An undefeatable classic, the Chicken Teriyaki is food of the Gods and is hard to beat. Try as you may to replicate it at home, it won't taste as good as it does here at Little Tokyo, formerly known as Sarku Japan. This even beats out other malls with similar stores. The beef teriyaki is not as good, but interesting for a change. There can be a bit of a language barrier if you're asking for something odd or in the wrong fashion (I still recall years ago having a manager legit confused and annoyed with me that I referred to "beef" as "steak") But once you know how to order, it's a smooth, systemic process. The new young lady there over the past few years has been pretty solid with the ordering process as well. The secret is asking for that extra dollop of sauce at the end. Little Tokyo - Ichiban!“
“I'm really glad I found this sushi place near me. As far as sushi is concerned what would you be looking for? Cleanliness certainly, unique and traditional sushi rolls, and friendly service. Wild Ginger does hit those marks. If your in the area, live nearby, I'd say give this a go. I was super happy with our waitress who was really helpful and really nice.“
“After reading the reviews, I was a bit surprised at the negativity. The AYCE is truly AYCE and the food arrives promptly. The staff are very friendly and check on you frequently. For the price, the selection is very good and the sushi is fresh. Furthermore, they don't overload you on rice like some AYCE sushi places do. Obviously it is not going to be Michelin or quality, but every dish was beyond palatable and you definitely get your moneys worth! I would say the AYCE is a must try in the SB area.“
“Awesome place.(6 years ago)Update: this place has fallen so far! We sat down and they actually had plastic forks out on the napkins and gave a slight attitude when I asked for actual silverware. Sorry if you're going to pay almost $200 at 3pm I'm not eating with a plastic fork. We had hibachi and they specifically went around and asked how everyone wanted their steak. And then they cooked everything the same way and served everyone from that batch. Shrimp overcooked. Given AFTER the steak and chicken. Filet mignon overcooked. As for the show...apparently we got the rookie. The volcano failed. He tried twirling around the spatula and fork only to drop them over and over again. I did eat everything on my plate because I hadn't eaten in 24 hours...hard to complain when you eat everything. Nothing tasted right. But the attitudes of the staff were fresh. That's about it. If you're wondering what you pay for it is the decor. This place is beautiful inside. Go in and have a drink and skip the food. It's awful. And insulting for a bill over $200. Never never never again.“
“Best hibachi place in all TOWN ! Will recommend to everyone I know, staff members are always polite, a big thank you to Anthony for being our server tonight. Very attentive and friendly ! Will be coming back soon. The place very clean and well organized.“
“The all you can eat sushi experience! You get 3 rounds and each round you mark your preference down on that checkbox piece of paper and they bring it to your table. Drinks are extra and they have a few bottled beer selections. Go for one round of 10 sashimi and ask the server to name them when it comes to your table. Remember the ones you like and order more in the following rounds. Go easy on the drinks I'd say coz you won't get to that 3rd round after a couple of sodas or beers ?“
