“Steven this one is for you. This review is for 485 Delaware Ave Albany.I came across this spot as a last minute I don't feel like cooking. Originally, I was going to grab just a slice of pizza. The place was empty but super clean. Before I go inside I see this guy come out, here is how the conversation went. Me:Hey how is the food inside. Guy: the food is delicious I promise.Me: you must work here.Guy: yes.Me: oh that's why you say the food is. If it's not good I know what car you're driving.. we both laugh.Him: tell them to make you a fresh small pizza.Me: okI must say the pizza was pretty darn good. I asked for a crispy bottom and they delivered. The dough was not thick. More like thin crust. Guys I'm 3 slices in. My new friend is Steven. You were right it was good thank you. We friends now. Oh wait shout to the gentleman that brought the pizza to my car.“
“This place was such a cool find on the way to lake placid! Obviously this is the capital of New York, however, this place is tucked into a main street. Service was really great and the food was excellent. My girlfriend and I split a sandwich and the chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint.“
“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.“
“Nice little spot in the plaza. Always forget it's here. Hadn't been in years. Food was great, and our waitress Katherine was attentive and prompt. 10/10. If you want to try your favorite staples with a culinary twist I'd definitely recommend.“
“We were wowed by this spot -- delicious entrees at incredible prices. The kimchi lobster Reuben was a taste experience from the frontier of fusion cuisine. Friendly staff with good recs, warm atmosphere, great location. And the price is hard to beat: three entrees, six oysters, and two iced teas for $78! We will be coming back.“
“I Was referred here by some co- workers, came here with my fiance we loved the food, great atmosphere, the owner was super friendly and hospitable from the moment we entered. We will definitely come here again. Looking forward to trying their breakfast.?“
“Went for the shrimp and grits this time it was really good, a little bit on the tomatoy side but delicious nonetheless... I did switch out the andouille sausage for the turkey sausage. And a side of a biscuit because their biscuits are amazing seriously. Normally I get the chicken and waffles, which is also amazing but I'm glad I decided to try the shrimp and grits... Hint: asked them to take the tai off. I mean pinch it off don't let them take your shrimp tip from you,“
“?This is my second time being here with my buddies and I tell you this is one place you got to check out, I love the way it looks inside and the food is amazing, thank you everyone in Savoy!?Parking: It's kind of hard to find parking but it's doable!“
“If you love food that is either original or very very creative they have it all at Illusive! The best service and very consistent. I would call ahead for reservations on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 5-8pm. Don't wait make it now!“
“This is a great old school diner. Cash only (they do not have an ATM) and no wi-fi. Because if what you need is a Western omelet (fantastic) with potatoes and coffee, you don't need a credit card or the internet. There's counter seating and a few tables (seating 2-4 each). Very reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive wait staff. It's like 1964 in all the best ways.“
“We stopped in to place an order for pickup and she said they only did call ahead now. She didn't have the ingredients to make either of the salads, but was kind enough to be honest & suggest another place. They mostly do catering now, so if you are looking for that… hit them up & support a small plant based biz! Otherwise, call ahead to see if they have the items in house to make your food & enjoy if they do!! ((They asked that we post about their shift to catering so even though we didn't eat here, we wanted to leave this review so others can see!))“
“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)“
“The food was amazing!!!!! The 605 smash burger was top notch. ( I got mine without the bacon) I have tried many burgers before, but this restaurant tops even my favorite burger place called The Shake Shack. Definitely going back again. I celebrated my birthday there with the family and they all enjoyed their food as well. If you want reservation the most they can fit at their low table is between 8-10 people, but the have high seating too and nice booths.. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. The place was clean. I hope nothing, but success for this business. I will be back! Keep it up!Only con: hope they give more options for a kids menu and drinks.“
“Great service beautiful atmosphere wonderful food always a delight to go there a plenty of parking. Could eat there breakfast, lunch and dinner ? ?.Parking: Plenty of parking space and wheelchair accessibleWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and easy to enter for anyone.“
“It’s a nice vibe in there. Lots of different types of people and I like the layout of the place. My only thing is that it was really warm in the bathroom like uncomfortably so, but it wasn’t that big a deal, just something I remember noticing. Live music is fire ? I can’t speak on the food I didn’t get any but the mixed drinks were type strong . I would return. Bartenders were quick and friendly enough.“
“Great food good beer I really like this place. Nice inside and even can go outside. If you are ever in the Ravena Selkirk area this is definitely a place you should give a try to! Lunch dinner and beers! What more could you ask for, am I right? Of course I'm right because I'm the man! Ha! Excellent. And now Yelp wants me to write a longer review, so I'll continue writing extra b.s. to lengthen my review a bit! Here we go!“
“Food was delicious, we had salads that looked very nice and tasty. The salad was a good size so you won't leave hungry. The sandwiches were very good, the grilled chicken was cooked be to moist. Excellent place to hang out and have a great dinner while chatting with colleagues. The dessert options were not great but you won't need it since the food will keep you happy. Thank you for the great experience.“
“I love this spot. My coworkers and I occasionally come here from across the street for Saturday lunch. It’s very welcoming and friendly inside. The staff and patrons are very relaxed and chill. Lots of TVs above the bar displaying any sport you’d like from NASCAR to golf. The food is fairly priced and good quality. Portions are good sized, and the food is tasty and filling after a hard week of work. I love the specials on offer. They update the specials regularly, though I’m not sure if it’s daily or weekly. The $1.50 cheeseburger special is hard to beat. I recommend the jalapeño poppers appetizer to start. If you need time to order, it’s a solid pick while you decide. They’ll be fresh meaning they’re piping hot and have molten cheese inside, so cut them open to cool before biting into them though! The chicken sandwiches are huge, and I definitely recommend them. The chicken patties are so big, they use two pieces of cheese to cover it.Parking: Parking is to the side of the building in a large gravel lot without marked spaces. There’s never been a shortage of space when I’ve come here, though it does get busy sometimes. The parking lot is a good gauge of how busy the inside will be.“
“My brides parents were visiting and wanted to take a drive to see the autumn leaves. I had driven past this water front restaurant and thought we would take a ride up and give it a try. It turned out to be a great choice. Everyone loved the calamari, the Thai peanut wings were incredible, and my strip steak was perfectly done. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer to sit outside by the water.“
“Lovely spot to stop for a quick lunch. I had the Reuben, my company had the club, the mac n cheese, and the buffalo salad + onion soup. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The ambiance was nice. The service was super efficient on a Friday afternoon (between lunch and dinner, admittedly). Great beer selection. Great spot.“
“The Dove and Deer experience begins outside with it's mysterious presence and twinkling string lights. Inside the ambiance is just as delicious as the food - low, soft lighting, a lively bar area, and a neat and uniform array of tables. Being the solitary soul I am, I sat in the row of quiet seats outlooking the street beyond. The setting is nice. I get a cool glass of water as I look over the drink menu. All the wines are dry so the helpful server helped me settle on the Love Maker. It's a subtly floral cocktail with hints of rose water, that made me think fairies might still live. She was a looker for sure and served as the perfect palate cleanser throughout my meal.I decided to skip appetizers and go straight into the main course. It's a frigid February evening in Albany, I needed something to warm my bones. The braised beef tips atop a creamy polenta, with grilled carrots and parsnips seemed like the perfect fair. The dish was beautifully arranged, and well, I'm a sucker for pretty food. It was tender, delectable... every bite seasoned well. It had soul; it lifted me from that evening's mid-winter funk. The beef was incredibly moist and tender. I dug into it, mixing each bite with all the plates' elements, and washing it down with the secret fairy juice. I couldn't finish it all and left only a few bites on the plate.Feeling satisfied with my life, I paid, checked out and walked to my car as a flurry of snow sprinkled over me. Some days are just magic.“
“Very impressed. The service was exceptional and the food was great. We started with the Manchurian cauliflower which was unique and very good. My wife’s burger was well seasoned and cooked as requested. I had the catfish sandwich and loved it. Both came with fried fingerling potatoes which were perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. I only hope next time I come I can try the duck bahn mi because they were out last night. Fortunately our server guided me to that awesome catfish sandwichParking: There is a parking lot next to the restaurant which is reserved for patronsWheelchair accessibility: The entrance from the parking lot is accessible“
“What a legendary experience. We were at Hill St Cafe and called to see if they had garbage plates and they did! We were with a friend from Australia that hadn't had a Garbage Plate before so they cooked one up with home fries, Mac salad and burgers that was absolutely delicious. An experience that will never be forgotten and we all appreciate it!!!“
“Our waitress was really amazing. Bummed that I didn't get her name to shout her out. Came here with a party of 11 and was seated immediately. The monkey bread was my favorite. The wings were decent. Food portion sizes were HUGE. Lively crowd but not too noisey. Enjoyed my time“
“Didn't know what to expect as i've never been here before but i walked in and saw the newly renovated restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Sat by the cozy fireplace and I had Allie as a server, she was sweet, informative and attentive! I ordered the half order of wings and they were great, good sauce. I then got the lobster roll and was floored by the flavor. It's fresh and melts in your mouth, i finished the whole plate! Such a hidden gem in a chill upscale environment! Not too expensive at all. Will be back!“
“This place is upscale, however I got the risotto and the texture was strange. Like a pile of thick rice porridge. There weren't grains of rice in a creamy sauce, it was like a rice mash. It had strips of sliced cheese melted on top. It wasn't worth the price. But the salmon was cooked to perfection and was a big portion. I'd come back for the salmon only.“
“12/10 dive bar experience (solid pours on the drinks, disgustingly good mozz sticks, and a pool table with a good crowd) EXCEPT for Juan Picasso...This absolutely sorry excuse of a human being, after being asked to jimmy open the locked women's bathroom by myself and another woman when a younger woman had been in there for over half an hour with no response, became clearly embarrassed to find her sitting on the toilet with her pants down. He then decided to try and hide his blatant embarrassment behind unwarranted anger and project those feelings onto me, saying sarcastically "Thanks for making me open the door..." before walking away?!Listen, you douche canoe, I'm sure by now you realized that the woman in there actually needed a little assistance - I only wish someone had made YOU clean up the vomit on the floor. Pick on someone your own size next time, eh? Your attempt to hide your personal insecurities and your inability to handle your "big feelings" behind a facade of machismo is laughable at best and incredibly sad at worst. If you own a bar, you take care of your people - I wouldn't be surprised if someone ends up dying on your watch. The bartender, Jeff, was cool, though. We like Jeff.“
“Great place. Very big selection of beer and on different sizes of pours. I have had the burgers in the past and they were all delicious. I recently had the pulled pork tacos. Oh, so good.Definitely a place to stop if you like beer and a good atmosphere.“
“Inconspicuous and casual; don't let the simplicity of this place fool you. Their food rocks.Quality ingredients and food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Stop by for a quick meal, and you won't be disappointed. Ralo's a good guy.“
“Great little spot in Delmar. Stopped in for a bite on our way home, and got the roasted red pepper, spinach and artichoke bisque and Irish onion soup, Bavarian pretzels and waffle fries. Super busy place, but there was a seat for us right away. Excellent soup and appetizers. Will definitely go back for dinner.“
“This place almost has a neighborhood bar feel to it. Simple and classic bar food. The biggest positive is the prices for the food and drink. We had a burger, sandwich and a small pizza which were all fine plus a few drinks and the bill was $20 less than expected. Add in great golf cart views and we will be back.“
“Voted best dive bar in Albany. They are proud of that title and their Irish heritage! Light atmosphere. Everyone seems happy. No drama. We had some cold beers and a basket of cooked to perfection fried foods which included mozz sticks, onion rings, fries, and chicken tenders. Enough to share with many. Great jukebox too. A good time was had by all in this little neighborhood bar. Cheers!“
“Best place for great entertainment, good food and friendly service. Check out their Jazz Tuesdays and Sunday brunches. Any venue that promotes and supports musicians with atmosphere and food to match is where I will spend my money and time. Hooray LarkStreet Tavern⭐️.“
“Normally the food is 5 star excellent; however, this last visit wasn't. It took a long time to get our entrees and the fries were over cooked in the warmer. Plus, my shrimp was cooked on a dirty griddle, all I could taste was burnt ground beef. Might have just been an off night or they lost some good cook staff. Not sure what's up. We will give them another shot because we dig the menu and food. Trivia night is awesome and fun and the wait staff is great. They made sure our drinks were filled and that we were happy. Hope the kitchen shapes up again.“
“I’m gluten free with several other food allergies. Even though the menu is small I always have several choices. They are very careful about ensuring I’m safe eating there. The food is delicious, everything is so fresh & the service excellent. The prices are very fair for the quality & quantity of the meal.“
“Food is FIRE! I’ve been living in Albany now for 6 months, heard amazing things about this lady & her food. I’m telling you to order this food NOW, do not wait like I did to try. Sooo good. Huge portions for a great price! I’m excited now to try the whole menu. Thank you Allie B’s! Much love!!!“
“We need this place in San Diego, California! This is a very cozy and welcoming local gastropub with great eats, excellent drinks, and the staff provide the best service experience I’ve experienced in awhile!!!! Espresso martini’s and other specialty drinks tantalize the tastes buds like never before!!! YUMMY!!!!“
“Clean, bright, fresh, inexpensive, satisfying, a blessing to have in the neighborhood! Their sub sandwiches are generous in portion and low in price. They have a lot of great things in there besides food. Very convenient, easy, friendly. It is rare to get the amount of fresh food for their prices in this area. I'll never go to jersey Mike's again. Shebamz are better, fresher, more meat and less than half the price.“
“We loved our meals!!. Yono's also allowed people in our party the option of 3 course dining or the tasting menu. This worked out perfectly for our group. All of the food was delicious. The wait staff and the sommelier were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during our meal.“
“The family owners supports our troops. Their son is serving in the Marines.I always feel at home here.It doesn’t matter what meal of the day you’re looking for. It’s always good , and fresh. The staff are very courteous, and friendly. Thank you.Randy F.DAV retired“
“We came here for dinner on a train lay over, it's a hole in the wall type of place with great burgers, good drinks, and fast service, I can't recommend it enough especially if you are on a train layover! It's just across the parking lot. June was a great hostess! Can't wait to visit again on another layover!“
“Stopped in for lunch. I am from outta state and wasn't expecting much, they blew me away the service was so wonderful very friendly and very good at there job. The prices are amazing (especially considering it's in NY where everything is overpriced) They have a huge menu with all the normal comfort foods but also have some things that's unique. I actually ordered Meatloaf Parm not only had I never tried it before but had never heard of it before. It was amazing and you get huge portions with a soup or salad . I recommend this place100%“
