“We are extremely happy we chose this venue for our son's and daughter-in-law's Rehearsal Dinner (50 people) and Welcome Drinks (70 people) the night before their wedding. Kathleen, the proprietor, was a pleasure to deal with and was helpful with the planning. The staff was accommodating and delightful; everyone said their food was delicious and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for casual dining and special events!“

“Staff is nice and accommodating. The beauty (and curse) of hot pot is that it's kind of up to you how good the meal is.

My advice? 1) Go heavier than you'd think with seasonings and 2) Add vegetables first (it adds flavor to the broth--and, more importantly, they take longer to cook). The meat takes practically no time to cook, but you also don't have to be in a hurry to eat it.

You've got two hours. Enjoy it.“

“This is my and my family’s weekend go-to. The service is excellent. We get greeted as if we are visiting family. The staff is very attentive. The food is excellent - fresh, tasty, good portions. If you go with family, order the large platter to share. You’ll still have food to take home and it’s worth it as the cost is cheaper than buying individual gyro dishes. Without fail, we ALWAYS get the Greek nachos. We are Mexican and are ruined by these nachos and don’t even bother w regular Mexican nachos anymore. These are phenomenal! Their lemon chicken soup, burgers, fig pizza, octopus, calamari … all excellent. Don’t leave without having the Baklava cheesecake and coffee! This place is consistently wonderful. My family and I love these guys!“

“Caputo’s chicken cutlet gets a 6/10—mediocre when fresh, with a buffalo chicken taste that clashed with the veggies, but oddly better when cold. Their pizza’s solid, a go-to for me, but the rice and beans were bland yet still satisfying. Reliable spot, but not without its flaws.

“Our family was looking last minute for a place to have a family dinner to celebrate our daughter’s ninth birthday after our original reservation fell through at another place. Pelligrinos is our favorite pizza spot so I called them. It was 5:30PM on a Friday night and I asked if they could accommodate our party of nine at 7:00. They were happy to prepare a table for us! I was shocked. They brought us the most incredible plate antipasto and placed it in front of our daughter and said happy birthday! Then we have the most delicious apps, pizza and an incredible pasta special for dinner. We couldn’t have been happier! They then brought complimentary fried dough for dessert for the table! What an incredible experience! We were so grateful that they not only came to our rescue at that late hour, but they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night. “We hosted our daughter's 30th Birthday party here last night! John ( the owner), his mom and the bartenders were great! They literally don't bother you but are available if you need help. Lichelle was more than helpful and so was the other bartender. Forgive me, I cannot remember her name. We decorated and totally gave the barn the feel we wanted..a rustic Shabby Chic vibe! “Several of times visiting Downtown Bagels to grab some grub. Sometimes bagels with cream cheese or butter. A few times ordering breakfast sandwiches. Excellent foods with great flavors. “We found this brewery on our trip home off of Route 17. It is such a great Brewery! The place is very cool! It has a ton of indoor seating, a large outdoor beer garden, and a game room! My son loved it! The food was really, really good, the pumpkin beer was tasty, and the bartender/owner was welcoming! If we are ever in Middletown again, we will be back! So far Middletown breweries are 2 for 2! Equilibrium is great too!“

“I just tried this Cafe this morning for the first time and it was delicious!! I ordered an omelette with fresh veggies and Swiss, side of home fries and whole grain toast. “Chicken Cutlet Hunt

Brother Bruno’s in Middletown surprised me. I tried their chicken cutlet with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American cheese, and a drizzle of oil and vinegar—absolutely amazing. Easily the best cutlet I’ve had so far, scoring a solid 8.9/10. The size was great and the blend of all the flavor were perfect.

The cold cut was excellent, but the pizza, while flavorful, wasn’t the best in Middletown as they promised nonetheless—thin, tasty and appealing . Fries were good too, just needed a touch more salt. A strong contender, but the hunt continues!“

“Have ordered to go several times, always trying something different. The sushi is pretty good, fresh tasting, although they skimp on the rice a bit. Not too happy with their hibachi. Ordered the lobster and filet mignon hibachi for a special treat. Asked for the filet to be prepared rare. It wasn't rare, and it either wasn't filet mignon at all, or a super cheap cut, or just badly prepared. It was tough, chewy, and well done. And the lobster was cheap rock lobster. While I would get the sushi again, I'm going to stay away from the hibachi.“

“We stumbled across La Fonda Boricua Restaurant by accident while driving. Those are the kinds of accidents one would want to have. Wow!! Talk about delicious food. The mofongo and arroz con pollo were both rich and delicious. And the portion size could feed a family of four. The staff were friendly and attentive and saw to be our every need. Please visit La Fonda Boricua Restaurant if you want delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. You won’t regret it. Buen provecho!!“
