“My favorite Indian restaurant in the world at the moment. We ordered chicken saag, chicken tikka masala and malai kofta. Each dish was a flawless expression. The tikka masala was bold and yet approachable. The saag was verdant and yet not bitter. The malai kofta was textured beautifully and the sauce was truly mouthwatering, a sweet and savory experience that I will dream about until I return to NY. The mango lassi was bright and tart and the ideal texture. The naan was substantial yet tender. I cannot say enough good things.
Vegetarian options: Malai kofta
Dietary restrictions: Halal“

“The food here is incredibly authentic and absolutely delicious, it truly tastes like home to me.
The Thali was spectacular. Every dish was perfectly spiced, and the cool, creamy buttermilk was the ideal way to wash it all down.
The Dahi Bhalla was a beautiful balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet, with cold, soothing dahi. It was generously topped with onions and potatoes, adding both texture and heartiness.
The Moong Dal Halwa was a standout, it wasn’t cloyingly sweet, but delicately tender and moist. It tasted divine, like it had been made with mother’s love. In fact, every dish felt like it had been prepared with genuine care and warmth.
I’ve also tried the Chole Bhature and Mooli Paratha on previous visits, both are excellent and highly recommended.“

“I ordered 3 garlic fried rice. It tastes good, but the chicken was extremely dry. The portion size is very good. I don't like how the place is crowded with men who were consuming alcohol and very rowdy. When you walked in, the men had something to say to women customers.“
“I find place to be reasonable priced and tidy and lots of variety of food options. Especially the chapati (bread) options. Across the street you can also visit Gurudwara.
Highly recommend and support hard working women ??
A real jewel in the heart of Punjabi township.“

“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“Overall, it was pretty good. Chili chicken momos were really good and stayed crispy even when cooked in sauce. The garlic naan was fantastic and very well made. The vegetable thali was overall really good, but the dal was a little bland, in my opinion. They're very generous with the amount of rice they give you.
I was a little disappointed by the tandoori chicken. It was a little underseasoned, and one of the pieces was very overcooked and dry. The butter chicken was made well and tasted alright; it was too sweet/not savory enough for me. Too much added sugar, personally.
Service was good.“

“Great food! Large portions, fair prices. Highly recommend. Ordered chicken, vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas and naan bread. Main dishes come WITH plenty of rice. We have more than enough food for two leftover meals and will definitely be back for more after that.💕💕“

Everything on the menu is super affordable and taste way better than some of the high end restaurants.

“I live within walking distance from Cardamom restaurant and eat there often. The food is consistently excellent, and the people are always welcoming. Highly recommended! If you're not in the neighborhood, it's easy to get there on the subway (it's right between the 40th St. and 46th St. stations on the 7 subway line on Queens Blvd).“

“The food that I got for takeout was amazingly good!!!! I got the butter chicken, garlic naan bread, and gulab jamun. I also got the mango lassi drink, and it was really good too! Service was great, didn’t take long at all for my food to be made. Pricing is decently good too, not too expensive but also not too cheap. 10/10 overall experience with everything. I will come back here again for more takeout, but next time I’m trying the chicken biryani for sure!“

“Had dinner here with a friend and really enjoyed the meal. Saag Panner and chicken Korma were especially terrific. We ordered on appetizer that wasn’t what we expected and the owner and the chef came over and explained the dish and suggested an alternative which they gladly swapped out. Service was terrific. Personal and attentive. Definitely recommended.“

“I visited Kuttanadan Indian Restaurant last Friday all the way from New Jersey, and it was absolutely worth the drive! It was Fisherman’s Night at dinner, and the experience was nothing short of amazing.
The food tasted just like home — especially the kalamari fry, which was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The fish peera was another standout — fresh, authentic, and cooked with just the right amount of tang and spice that brought back coastal Kerala memories.
The ambiance, the hospitality, and the traditional flavors made it a truly special evening. I could feel the love and effort in every dish. Thank you, Kuttanadan, for bringing a slice of Kerala to our plates!
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy real Kerala seafood and warm hospitality. Will definitely be coming back! 🙌🐟🍛“

“We were walking by and decided to go in because the space looked beautiful. As soon we walked in, it felt like we stepped in a different dimension because all the outdoor noise got cancelled out (they must gave made it soundproof). We were so well taken care of, immediately got water and EXTREMELY friendly staff! And the food!!! There should be another review dedicated for DELICIOUSNESS of the food!!! Naans were to die for!!! The staff were kind, helpful, friendly and respectful!! They even gave us kheer (rice pudding) at the end on the house ?✨????
All in all, go check them out. It’s unusual to find good Indian/Pakistani restaurants around here ?
Vegetarian options: It’s Indian so there’s more vegetarian options than your typical vegetarian restaurant! And too far too delicious ✨“

“I bought a takeout. Oh my goodness, it was so tasty and flavorful. I love the sauces served on the side that came with the meal. I had the special with the bread, samosas, and Iamb curry I believe it was. Mmm, mmm, good. I will be back. As for the service, it was top of the line, with a smile and everything was explained when asked.“

“While in NYC we had a craving for Indian food, and Bombay Chowk was a great choice.
The Indian restaurants we are used to have spiciness scales when ordering, but at Bombay Chowk the food is prepared at set levels of spice.
My wife had the chicken Tikka Masala and it was slightly sweet. Still flavorful and tasty.
I opted for chicken Vindaloo and the server warned me it would be spicy. Thankfully I’m used to spicy Vindaloo and oh boy did it pack a punch. Very flavorful, the sauce was thick and more like a stew than a curry. The chicken was cooked well and not dry.
All in all, it’s a solid option for Indian food in NYC.“

“From Texas With LOVE for DHANIA! I am from TX where South Asian food is in competition to be better. 6 ****** Rating, Why? I am an Expert of Bengali/Indian/Pakistani food due to my involvement to provide bi-weekly food to our congregations of up to 500 members. Our food is mainly Bengali/Indian/Pakistani dishes and some outside items like salads/sweets etc. I mostly cook the main dishes MYSELF. During my visit to NY I dined in few restaurants. I never ate in any NY restaurants before. Dera rest: C+; 3 star Lahore rest: B-; 3.5 star Kababish: C-; 2 star Alibaba Kabab near Bufalo: B+; 4 star Few fast-food restaurants. Now the Main subject DHANIA restaurant, A++; 6 Star Restaurant is Very Clean, Nice atmosphere. Food came in reasonable time. If food comes quickly then thats not good for S. Asian food. Cauliflower was fantastic! Samosas were very good! Chatney awesome. Chicken Tikka was great! Biriyani & butter chicken was Excellent! Naan was fine & soft! Not hard or burned as some other places. Since I ordered catering for my congregation from many restaurants in Houston, I became an expert in S. Asian food. Dhania really surpassed my expectations and surprised me in NY. Wish them the best. Keep serving the best food!“

“This was the best Indian meal I’ve had in a while! So delicious. We had chicken korma, lamb chettinad, peshwari naan, a chickpea-pumpkin dish, and two desserts. Truly delicious. Excited to come back. Cool mural on the wall, quiet and spacious inside. We were happy to find somewhere that could accommodate a stroller for our 3-month old. You wouldn’t return for the ambiance but you’ll definitely return for the food and that’s what counts!“

“Who wants to experience home food please, pay your visit undoubtedly.
Foods are fresh , prices are so accurate, services also satisfying, only their space is little smaller than others.
I loved their fish combo , their Chai, Alu puri, egg chop, kala vuna , lentil were awesome.
I don't get time to cook at home , most often I have my launch or dinner from them.
As a regular customer, I suggest everyone you will satisfy with their prices and food quality.
They should develop their biriyani and Chicken Curry but most other dishes are okay .
Thanks.“

“The samosas were delicious and I also enjoyed the mixed vegetable pakoras. I tried the roganjosh which was quite tender and very flavorful. I had it with the basmati rice it came with and some garlic naan bread along with a creamy white sauce and herb sauce. Absolutely delicious! The curry, the garlic naan, the sauces…. I loved it. I thought the meat was a little gamey but I enjoyed it! I also got the chicken tikka masala which does have a sweeter flavor which I had seen in other reviews, but the chicken is very tender, and the mild flavor is definitely good for people who don’t want spice. The portions were a nice size in pint containers and filled with meat and curry sauce and everything else came on the side so you could really build your own perfect Indian dinner plate.“
