“Today was my first time there, rom the wonderful, extensive menu, friendly waitress we had a delightful lunch. The owner, Peter couldn't have been nicer. I will certainly return.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating with a ramp inside to the lower level.“
“Food was delicious. We had 2 eggs over easy, Croissant French Toast with strawberries and almonds and corned beef hash. Coffee very good, great service. 20 minute wait very worth it. Good texting system for putting your name in. Parking is tight, we parked across the “
“Fantastic service. Beautiful French toast with grilled ham along with an egg white omelet with mushrooms spinach and ham delicious and let's not forget the Delicious Bloody Mary made by Sara .. great service and we were passing through and because of Yelp and its reviews we went .. enjoy !!!“
“We had a good breakfast time today and finally got a lox omelet. It was the first time I tried salmon for breakfast, and I liked it. My wife had a vegetable omelet with mushrooms and egg whites, and that was good as well. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere lots of decorations for Saint Patrick's day. Everything was green, like in a forest. Thank you, guys!Vegetarian options: Mushrooms omelet was good.“
“Before or after dance class in the morning or early afternoon, the Farmingdale Diner is our 'go to' spot for great food and friendly service! The staff and the owners are amazing. Try their freshly squeezed OJ it is a lovely addition to almost any breakfast.“
“Looks like an older diner, that's been there for yrs. The restaurant was clean and had an old fashion vibe. The waitress was friendly and the food was amazing. Oh and they put a macaroni salad on the table for you to enjoy while waiting for your food. It was so delicious. Not sure what was on the pasta but it was so good. The burgers were huge and the sweet potato fries were also like a double portion in other dinners. Then the dessert was rice pudding, the waitress said that everyone raves about it. Well they were right, it was so creamy.. delish!!! Prices were very reasonable. The only challenging part is the parking lot. It's not very big. But it is so worth a visit. Everything was A++++++“
“For a Long Island diner, it lived up to its expectations. Chef was able to make do with all of my adjustments/substitutions, for example changing an omelette to an egg white omelette. Food came out rather quick. Service was attentive. Very welcoming wait staff as well.“
“First time coming here. Their breakfast was truly great. The Hershey pancakes hit the spot and it was perfectly done. Huevos rancheros burrito and the breakfast dish (eggs/cornbeef hash/home fries) were delicious. We also purchase their peanut butter cheesecake and rainbow cake to take home. I’m not a fan of cheesecake and when I tried it, it blew my mind. (Tasted great!) Rainbow cake was delicious as well! Definitely going back to try out their lunch dishes.“
“I had the pleasure of visiting this diner and was delighted to be greeted warmly upon my arrival. The ambiance was inviting and cheerful, creating a sense of familiarity. The coffee was exceptional, which is uncommon. I typically do not have two cups, but I made an exception here. I ordered the cornbread hash and was thoroughly pleased with its remarkable flavor. My husband had the challah french toast and thoroughly enjoyed it, finishing it entirely. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit very soon! This diner is so worth it!“
“What a Great day..this Restaurant Diner was a great find, drove by several times, But on this Day it was perfect food the Customer service was beyond exceptional warm and cozy on a chilly day. Lots of locals lots of tables, booths dining counter as well. Huge selection for Breakfast, Brunch/ Lunches or Dinner.“
“Had a nice breakfast recently at Mineola Diner.A very cozy diner with friendly staff, inviting service, and a bit of old-time Diner feel.I must mention something important, at least to me, the cost of meals at Mineola Diner are more efficient than other area diners. With the cost of even Diner meals going up, this establishment can offer the same fare as other places but for less. I hope this doesn't change.Parking can be tricky, and there may be a wait. But patrons get turned over fast enough.“
“One of my favorite diners on LI and the best in Plainview. Never have been disappointed with any order. Omelettes, paninis, and burgers have all been amazing and are a good portion size. The waiters and staff are always very friendly and welcoming.“
“My husband and I loved everything we ate. The chicken souvlaki platter and Greek grilled chicken were outstanding. Loved the Greek salad and the soups. Have to rave about the homemade key lime pie. Could have been the best I’ve ever had. So glad we stopped in here! Keep up the great job!!“
“Great experience. We have a ladies night out once a month, and enjoy coming here. The food is delicious. We are 8 ladies and order everything from French Toast to Turkey Dinner, and the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. We always have a great time when we're here.“
“It seems that I have repeatedly been prompted to review Majestic Diner, of which there are seemingly two on Long Island. That said, I must start out with a slogan with 5 words. "LAWN GILAND" DINER FEATURING ABBONDANZA There is a silver lining in some clouds and this was the silver lining on an overnight stay in this area using points for lodging. When you leave one of the 2 NYC airports in Queens and board the LIRR to stay this far out, the hassle and work involved might outweigh the savings. (I learned that the Northern New Jersey lodging options make more sense, since you can use NJ Transit at very reasonable prices and it will put you right into Port Authority in Manhattan.) At any rate, I looked at my phone for diner food and Majestic Diner came up. With its metallic exterior and photos of bodacious and abundant food, I was interested. It was about a mile to get there, which I did on foot, complete with an umbrella, and it's on a major boulevard that has all the malls and big box shopping. Once inside, it's decked out as an old school diner, and perhaps even nicer than most adhering to this theme. There are many booths and, because of the big windows and good lighting, it's bright inside, which is what I prefer. I asked for a booth adjacent to a window so I could savor "Lawn Giland" street life. I saw the portions going to customers after sitting down ... and after seeing the menu board specials. These are not $15 packaged deals, given that this is a more expensive area and, well, not Buffalo. However, it's a good value and, coming in at mid-afternoon, the meal served as lunch and dinner. The meal consisted of chicken breasts in a tasty sauce atop a bed of pasta, a salad, cole slaw with a pickle spear, bread, a large slice of chocolate cheesecake, and refillable coffee. Everything on that list fetches at least 4 stars. Also, the ingredients were very fresh and I especially noticed this with the salad. I would have liked to have given the chocolate cheesecake 5 stars, but that is reserved for the now gone Concord Diner in Valley Stream, also on Long Island, where the chocolate was drizzled in to look marbled and which I ate during a lot of rumbling, which, as a Californian, made me think of an earthquake when it was just the LIRR going by. That was the best cheesecake I've eaten to date. The service at Majestic Diner was friendly and attentive. Could it be that taking photos tends to ratchet up the level of service? I ponder this every now and then. The patrons were also friendly. As I took photos, these two ladies from Brooklyn, but native to Poland, began conversing with me from their adjacent table, which was also pleasant. This also makes me ponder if I have a sign saying "foreigners, talk to me," since my friends observe this dynamic and state that it rarely happens to them! Continuing with the armchair sociology, many people have a knee jerk reaction to dislike and distrust anything related to the tri-state New York area. What I notice is that people in this area have routinely been more animated and more friendly to me than anyone in, say, Chicagoland or other Midwestern metropolitan areas has ever been and which is the inverse of the stereotypes. With the food being abundant, I was glad that I walked a mile to and from Majestic Diner. Not only that, I got to size up Long Island better and, for the most part, was amazed that many of the major streets are as large, or larger, than those in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. It's time to wrap this up. So, here is what we have: 1) tasty food, 2) plenty of it, 3) wait staff that is amicable, 4) potential value - depending on what and how you order, and 5) an elaborate and nicely put together old school diner that I found appealing both inside and out. Go in with an empty stomach!“
“Special thanks to The Colony for Excellent food and outstanding Customer Service last night. The JJ Howell Ensembele & friends filled the entire restaurant without Notice after our beloved Musical tribute. It was only right to go back to grass roots, as young adults we came here after late night church services. It was 1 of our favorite spots.S/O to the waiters, kitchen staff, Bar staff, and managment. Billy, was our waiter topnotch service.God Bless“
“I ordered something pretty basic on the menu which was the "Cheeseburger Deluxe" medium temperature, and you know something it was absofreakinlutly delicious cooked to perfection Char-Broil flavor the lettuce and tomato and the onion ring and the pickle all fresh... The coleslaw was extremely disappointing very bland they use white cabbage which had no flavor whatsoever...I make coleslaw for a living and I use green cabbage always... I will go there again and again to go get a wonderful meal..?“
“This place has existed for 100 years. Very impressive. The diner works just for breakfast and lunch. So we take to go. And time we were waiting , it's was great conversation with girl, who work there. I don't remember her name, unfortunately, but she helped us a lot about orders. Thank you for that) So food, just great, very tasty. We ordered milkshakes, which they make from ice cream (homemade). Omg,so great. So I will definitely come back here.“
“Place was empty. The lady and the manager was too nice. I felt like I have always been coming to this spot for years. I can't speak for rhe other reviews but I am very pleased at the service and the food. Need a little seasoning but ok for a quick bite.“
“Prototypical diner. Went during the dead doldrums of a late August weekday morning. Had steak and eggs and companion had eggs and toast. The steak was noteworthy and cooked perfectly. My eggs were those perfectly mixed diner slabs. The place was nearly deserted, so the service was doting. Can't speak to what it would be like during peak hours.I was a bit hot because they weren't running AC, but I tend to run a bit hot anyway.Diners tend to be a dime a dozen, and it's a maddening waste of calories when their bog standard fare doesn't live up to the basic expectations we assign to them.By that standard, Golden Coach, in passing the minimum bar of steak and egg quality and having excellent service in an otherwise vacant restaurant, did not disappoint.Given all my extenuating circumstances and uninteresting order, though, I'd read other reviews before making your call.“
“Came here twice when visiting family and we had a good time-- the food comes out quick, service has been quite friendly for NY, and our orders for a big group have always been spot on! It's definitely not a shiny or new environment, but it has a nostalgic diner feel without being dirty. For diner food, I think their food is tasty~ giant pancakes, greasy hash towns, thick French toast pieces-- the classics! Great place for variety~ obviously not the healthiest spot, but Celebrity Diner is a fun place for some memories!“
