Buried Acorn Restaurant & Brewery Brewery • $$
881 Van Rensselaer St, Syracuse

“I visited a variety of breweries in Syracuse NY, and although this wasn't the most aesthetic place for a brewery, the beer by far was the best tasting. It wasn't because this was the first place I went to, but the other places visited were memorable for their atmosphere and locations. I personally wouldn't trade taste for aesthetics.“

Bullfinch Brewpub Brewery • $$
306 Hiawatha Blvd W, Syracuse

“We had an awesome meal at Bullfinch. The food was great, and so was the beer - the sours are incredible! The wait staff was absolutely outstanding, and so patient and kind with our large group including kids! In addition to the awesome food and service, they went above and beyond when my daughter left her wristlet - full of cash and gift cards - on our table. We didn’t realize it was gone until we were back in Rochester. The staff kept in touch with me and mailed it to our house! And, nothing was missing when we got it. I am amazed and impressed! We will go there anytime we are at Destiny!“

Sunset Hydroponics Home Brewing Brewery • $
3530 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse

“Now one of my favorite hydroponic stores in NY. Sunset Hydroponics has a decent selection of products for all of your home growing and brewing needs.

I appreciate that they are open on Sundays. I stopped in to pick up trays to grow microgreens. They have the more conservative option, the basic black trays. They also have some heavier duty options that come in an assortment of colors. You can typically get what is in your budget here. The products overall are a great value for the price, considering the endeavor.

They have an adorable selection of succulents to splurge on while you pick up some much needed supplies. The staff are tremendously helpful!“

Freight Yard Brewing Brewery • $
4975 NY-31, Clay - 9.61 miles

“I’m so happy I chose Freight Yard Brewing for my husband’s 60th surprise party. Not only the perfect environment but I had excellent service from start to finish. Todd responds to emails right away, he is flexible, he allowed me to store my food in his walk in refrigerator the night before, and even allowed my musician friend to play for us for the party. They provided extra fold out tables for the gifts. I called several breweries in Syracuse and only freight yard offered everything I requested. All with no room fee!!! Thank you, Todd!“

Underground Beer Lab Brewery • $$
7000 Airways Park Dr # D, East Syracuse - 6.2 miles

“We finally got to stop by UBL on one of our trips to visit family in the Cicero area. Dang, it was about time!!

This place is tiny, but the beers were mighty. If you are a fan of hoppy, hazy NE IPAs, you’ll love it here.

Yeah I know, that pun was stupid. Either way, the beers at UBL were great. Vast Expanse was the one I enjoyed the most. I tend to like New Zealand hops, and it was a good brew.

It’s a super laid back spot. Small as all heck, but there’s room for them to put some stuff outside (cornhole, picnic tables, etc), so that might be a thing on some nights.

Bottom line, though, and TL;DR, the beer is fantastic and the place is very laid back.

?

My beer buddies in TN are going to dig the cans I picked up to bring home.“

Heritage Hill Brewhouse Brewery • $$
3149 Sweet Rd, Pompey - 10.82 miles

“This place was awesome! The food is so good and bless the owner’s heart, his bartenders were delayed due to the weather so he was working the whole place on his own. He was super friendly and apologized for the delay but the food was worth the wait! Beautiful inside and they’re fellow Bills and Syracuse fans! I recommend the 20 East if you like IPAs.“
