“Great spot for people-watching and local beer. Cozy and warmly lit. Even though I'm a Guinness girl, I took the server's recommendation and got a strawberry beer with whip on top. The boyfriend got a brown ale (just in case hehe). We also got a meat cheese cracker board. It came with crackers, pepperoncini, pickled jalapeños, horseradish cheese, chive cheese, everything bagel cheese, pepperoni salami, and black pepper Genoa salami. Perfect!“
“We’re in Corning NY from Texas on vacation and stumbled across this bar as we were browsing about the town. They have a good selection of great tasting beers. We’re partial to stouts and theirs didn’t disappoint. Should they ever have food options they’d probably excel at that, too. We’ll definitely be back while we’re in town.“
“The Cuban was as good as reviews said! Meat was a bit cold but the taste was delicious. Fried Brussel sprouts…OMG! Good! Everyone said their food was good. Service was passable. Went to the front for seating bartender saw me but ignored me. When the rest of my party arrived decided if we wanted to eat we would have to go back to the bar area. Had to go to the bar to ask for napkins and salt and pepper. She wasn’t very attentive until other tables filled up and then since she was there anyway she checked on us.Parking: Limited parking shared with other businesses.“
“For years this location was "That Other Place." I began drinking there as a junior in high school (when legal was 18 and no one ever checked ID's). Fast forward 40+ years and I'm in town celebrating with my wife (who partied with me back in the day). We noticed a sign advertising "Classic Rock, 9 - 12." Since we apparantly qualify as classics, we're in. Unlike the pitiful review from Mike G (observation: lousy reviews usually signify someone off their meds. 9 outta his whopping 13 Yelp reviews all received 1 star, the others 5. Poor soul). Any who . . . we had a great time. C-4 was a talented band that played their contagious danceable song list until we cried "enough!" I opened a tab, drank our beer, sipped plenty of Jack Daniels, and had a ball. My take? Mike G you need to loosen up. To the rest I say lace up your dancin' shoes and "Give 'em a whirl."“
