If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is not your place. I rate the food 6.6/10. Slightly elevated Mexican American. Overall not a bad place to go. I would eat here again.

“My coworker and I sat at the bar seating in front of the pizza kitchen. We had a great experience chatting with the staff making the pizzas. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening. The food was amazing from appetizer to dessert. “We were seated immediately even though there were a ton of vehicles in the parking lot. Had our drinks in less than 2 minutes of sitting down. Our food came in a timely manner. The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. The manager made a brief stop to see how we were enjoying our meal.
I had the Hibachi salmon with rice and steamed broccoli. Broccoli was a little too over streamed but that's my personal preference, otherwise everything was delicious. My partner had the French Onion burger that she enjoyed.

“SU Family Weekend Sunday morning so our party of six had long wait at Cafe, just like the other visiting families. Started with delicious Charcuterie. Breakfast pizza, breakfast sandwich and garden scramble were all delightful. The old school molasses cookie, too. Two bonus treats with the outdoors seating: live music from the veranda and very lively honey bees attracted to the fresh honey with Charcuterie.“

I ordered the meal deal for 2 with 15 wings (2) different flavors with fried rice, crab ragoons, French fries, and a veggie cup included in the meal along with a California fresh roll. “Food is incredible but service could be a bit more attentive. Been there twice so far because the food is so good but both times it’s like once the waitress brings your food, she disappears and you can’t find her again if u need anything else. Both times I went it was slow. Once was for dinner service and the next time was for lunch service. Same two waitresses on both times. Love the food but the service leaves something to be desired. Makes me wonder what happens if it’s actually busy. However, the food has been incredible enough so far that I’ll keep going back until the food and the service both become subpar. Hopefully that won’t ever happen.“

“It's a good place to study and have a few drinks with friends. Out of the way, but on the campus shuttle line so not a lot of sketchy people around. Usually campus orgs having events up here. The food is over priced for what you get but, all in all not bad.“

They are sporting a vast selection of Beers, plus full bar. We enjoyed a variety amongst the four of us between a beer, rose wine for me, martini, and whiskey sours. Was a nice place chat and catch up pre dinner, reminiscent of earlier years at the former PJ Dorsey’s. Friendly enough service with a touch of rye. We had just visited Clayton recently, I’ve included a couple of snap shots of Hop Spot currently closed for season. Someone is peeking out the third story! “make your own poke....and pork ramen are fantastic....i luv the simplicity of this food...just fresh good ingredients...i guess they used to have octopus but maybe its not in season? i usually do a 3 protein poke with cooked shrimp, raw diced salmon, and raw scallops....green onion, cilantro, pickled ginger cucumber, avacodo, corn, nuts with red chili oil and the soy/toasted sesame sauce....i made lunch and dinner with one order....4 stars...its not cheap but its a good value for all that seafood and just doing a 2 protein poke cuts the coast nearly in half“

“Very busy business so plan on waiting. The drinks are very good but the bagel breakfast sandwiches need better bagels. The bagels are out of a bag and weren't toasted. Tasted like eating a Lenders bagel but I know it isn't, supposed to be Cassanovia. Parking can be difficult. If you do like coffee you won't be disappointed in their drinks.“

“Excellent!! I had the fruity pebble french toast and it was AMAZING!! My boyfriend had the duck and biscuits and the buscuits were overcooked and the egg was too well done however the waitress was awesome and the french toast was on point! Alissa, our waitress, was very friendly and very attentive. Will definitely come again!!“
