“I have been to Saigon Table twice. Once with the whole family. We all enjoyed it and they are very safe for people with Celiac.

That night I met the owner Lynn N Lee. She talked about wanting to bring high quality Vietnamese food to this side of Westchester. Everything is made from scratch, including a beef broth slowly made from Pat Lafrieda bones. Her sauces are unique and delicious. My husband loved his Pho. The kids had delicious chicken and beef skewers and some rice noodles. She uses GF soy sauce and a great GF fish sauce as well.

I returned last night with a friend whose husband is a chef and she also loved it. I recommended the chicken soup because I had once picked it up for my mom and was blown away by the layered depth of flavor of the broth.

The place is simple and casual, yet thoughtfully designed. The service is warm and friendly, but be patient as they tend to receive a lot of take out orders and everyone knows that this is sometimes hard to balance.

I could eat the beef skewers every day. They are cooked perfectly medium rare and the marinade is insane.

“When I moved to New York, I lived upstairs to an Italian Deli. After moving to Greenwich, I have been looking for a deli that would match it. A friend recommended Firehouse...and THIS IS IT! We have been ordering now for several months. You can taste the pride. Prices are more than fair and the portions (especially the wedges) are outstanding. This is the real deal. The vibe inside is cool and relaxed with a bit of charm. It’s not a big space but there is some seating. Service was solid, the staff was friendly, patient, and gave me great recommendations for a first timer.

I went with two picks:
• Brisket Egg & Cheese — house smoked brisket, scrambled eggs, American cheese on Texas toast. Super buttery and cheesy. My only critique is the brisket was sliced a little too thin, which made it tougher to bite through in a sandwich.
• Breakfast Burrito — house smoked pulled pork, scrambled eggs, American cheese, pico de gallo wrapped in a tortilla. This one was the winner for me. Smoky, spicy, and loaded with flavor.

Parking is the biggest challenge. It’s on a tight, busy street with not much available nearby.

Overall though, the food was delicious and definitely worth the trip. I’ll be back to try the Bacon Egg & Cheese with house smoked crispy bacon chicharron and their crispy tots.“
