I just went for a few drinks with a friend and I have to say the bartender was so friendly and welcoming. We chatted for a bit and had a few laughs. The people that sat next to us ended up being very sociable and had some great conversations. Its nice to know you can walk into a place and be treated like you been a regular. “Don’t be deceived by the outside of this place. We stopped in yesterday for their .50 wings, but were admittedly cautious upon entering. The old adage “don’t judge a book by its cover” proved to be relevant as we walked inside to a well-organized, pristine, vibrantly painted establishment full of customers of all ages. The staff was friendly and welcoming, particularly our bartender. We sat at the bar and ordered hot wings and a small fish fry. I’m almost hesitant to rave about the fish fry because we all know how difficult it is to get into a place that serves a good fish fry this time of year. However, I simply must. What was a small fish fry was easily a large fish fry — a generous portion of haddock and fries with slaw and choice of mac salad, tuna mac, or potato salad. The real highlight however was how crispy the batter was on the fish. It was without a doubt the crispiest fish fry I’ve ever had. The wings were jumbo and could have been…wait for it…crispier, but for .50 a wing, that’s not worth complaining about. Overall, an excellent first-time experience and we’re looking forward to the next one soon.“

“We were in town for the weekend and I always hear good rings about Kelly's Korner BOW and wings. My party of 7 showed up and we found a table to sit at. Our waiter appeared and since we were first-timers informed us that there was no menu and everything was written on the wall in the other room. No problem there, we sent the youngest of our group to snap a few pictures and bring it back for us. We decided on 50 wings(bbq, garlic parmesan and medium) along with fries for the table. An order of chicken tenders was placed along with 2 beef on weck. The wings were really good. Nice crisp to then and not overly saucy. The BOW was huge and delicious. One of the best I've had in some time. Also the tenders were spot on. Needless to say nobody left hungry. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“had a chance to stop in at Lumbejacks patio grill. menu is your usual grill menu - burgers, sandwiches, fish, salads, hot dogs, fries, ice cream. all very good. you order at counter and they will bring you your food. we waited for our order a bit longer than expected. but that was because the place was hoppin'. what impressed me though was the young kitchen cooks and counter staff and how they worked their butts off. the crew was movin' and groovin'. i appreciated their hustle.“

“I understand the reputation Elmo’s has when it comes to wings. They were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy but still sauced just right. I do want to try and find just the right combination and they do their double dipped. I think finding just the perfect style to your own makes a huge difference. Also, not sure what it was, but their 7up was just hitting so tight that night.“
