“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “I went to Shalimar Express today. The place is great, I like their traditional welcoming Pakistani decor. Their food is amazing. We got their Shami Kabaab paratha roll, samosa chaat, fresh veggie pakora, Kashmiri chai, and mango lassi. It’s one of the best places to get Pakistani fast food in the Capital Region. Highly recommend! The Kashmiri pink chai with their veggie pakora was perfect after spending the day out in the cold. Must try!“

I am in Albany every other weekend and have ordered from Curry House Inc every time. Love the vindaloo, malai kofta, onion bhaji and garlic naan. Sauces and sides are all homemade and excellent. Highly recommend Curry House Inc to anybody in or around Albany in search of authentic Indian cuisine. One of my favorite Indian places in all of New York.“

“I can't forget that Peshewari Naan and Bombay Aloo. Two awesome items with perfect balance of spice. They asked us the spice level we would prefer. This is something indian restaurants usually do not ask. Loved that part. Two other items were onion naan (was good) but the Mughlai chicken, something was off about it. It could be the balance of sweet or the salt was not right. I felt like I am eating a thik gravy. I believe the tea was over brewed and to balance it more milk was poured in. That's just an opinion as I know taste of tea is very subjective. Besides all of this the portion of one order was good for two. I think they are underrated by themselves. I would recommend them to change the whole seating arrangement. Also, update your restaurant name to Ahmed Restaurant. It was hard to find it.Spend $36 for two. (1. “Arrived in Albany to meet and visit my friend. Was hungry and craving Indian food and decided to try Spicy Mint. The gentleman who took my take out order was friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome. I ordered a samosa chaat and garlic naan, both were incredibly delicious. Spicy Mint is a wonderful place to eat in my humble opinion. I had a positive experience and after traveling so many hours by bus and train from Michigan what a delight it was to eat such tasty food. So happy ? with my meal at Spicy Mint. Thumbs up.?“

“This place has multiple things inside one location. The restaurant inside, they are not very accommodating. I've ordered for a group of people for take out and they were so strict, didn't want to give plates or anything until the owner or management got involved.

While the food was good, they overprice everything. Probably will try other places next time before coming back to this.“
