“We had an 11:15 brunch reservation. We arrived a little early. Johnny was there cleaning the floors. Nobody was in the restaurant. He was just starting his new job that day, and he was not really familiar with the menu and answers to our questions. BUT, he was terrific. He went and got answers from the kitchen and everything came out fine. Until others came in, he was a one man band. You are lucky to have him!“

“I love a good wine with my meal. That being said outside of a high end restraunt I have been no place in the area where the house sommelier picks the selection of wine like Saints and Scholars. You would have to buy a bottle if even then to get the quality of their house serve alone. I could write a book on the menu, not a bad choice to be found, but I will stop here. “I love their happy hour that starts at noon as well as their beer selection but allow me to say this about their outside seating service: it is dam near nonexistent except for a tall beautiful black woman from a few months back and a young man named Norie who served me last week. These two people were the ONLY ones that were attentive to me in all the times I sat outside to drink. I was actually surprised how much Norie checked in with me, because aside from him and the aforementioned, I was often treated as an afterthought. Very often i would even go inside to the bar myself to get my own refills!
Again, they have a fabulous happy hour and i do like the out of the way location with my bus stop across the street. The food is decent if a little overpriced for bar food but at least its not as bad as The Bronx Public. Again, if you sit outside then hopefully your assigned server is Norie!“

“Visited on 7/5. The chicken was tasty, and the atmosphere was lively, though a bit noisy. We had a great time here on Saturday night.
One small thing — there were some food scraps and bones left in the buckets from the previous table, so a quick cleanup between guests would make the experience even better.“

I had the wings, steam fish, vegetables and more and everything were properly prepared and delicious. I was surprised that the food and drinks cost less than most other restaurants. Overall this was indeed a great experience and I will be going back for more.“

“My brother & I went last Wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday. Our server was so wonderful ( & I am so sorry I do not know her name!!). I had a shell steak ( took a chance) that was amazing! Arrived at our table a sizzling 1 1/2 thick thing of beauty with a massive baked potato and veggies. Exactly as I ordered. The soda bread was warm & fresh. My brother could barely finish his burger that had to be at least a half pound of meat, perfectly cooked. Even the coffee was delicious. We split the chocolate cake, (to die for) that the server generously said was on her for my birthday. The atmosphere was cozy, uncrowded, quiet enough to talk, and the prices are very reasonable!. This place is a hidden gem & I will be back!“

“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“
