I feel like I'm on vacation in the Caribbean when I am at Sugar Café - and you get all the healthy smoothies w/o the crazy downtown prices!!
Sugar Bar was on my bucket list, I always wanted to go there. I was and still am a huge Ashford and Simpson fan. Restaurant did not disappoint. .Nice atmosphere, good food, and great staff. I will go back and hopefully Valerie will be there.
While I love Ashford & Simpson, I wasn't overly impressed by my food. I got the chicken wings (buffalo) because they were out of lemon pepper. And I did the Avocado and Corn Salad, the dressing was Italian. My sisters got some of the traditional soul food dishes and enjoyed them. The shrimp po'boy as well as catfish, greens and sweet potatoes. The staff was pleasant and we enjoyed the desserts. We did the bread pudding and chocolate cake. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.
