“This restaurant is beautiful! The vibes, the food, and the staff are literally amazing!! Our waiters Elani and Dioni were super attentive, they came over to our table many times to ensure that we were okay. They even sang happy birthday to my baby girl when I told them her birthday is in a couple of days, it was too cute!! I loved every minute here! I’d come back time and time again.“

“Due to circumstances, I can't go and eat there, so I've had Uber delivery for 3 days in a row now (trying various things). The quality of the food is incomparable to other restaurants. It's on a different level. Each and every sauce is made with care. They package it well. I had a question about the menu, so I called. When I did that, the female waiter (not Korean) was really kind! She explained it to me while shouting a little and said that she was sorry for yelling at the end because the store was too noisy. Even though she was busy, the waiter explained things so well! “We had our annual school fundraiser at the Rail House and the food was great and service was impeccable. Amar ( manager) was checking in throughout the night to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this venue for your next party or just for dinner in their upbeat dining room. Everyone should really check out the Rail House.“

“Not your run of the mill City Island restaurant, I hope Archies can survive through all these pandemic shut downs. The food was really quality, creative and curated compared to anything on city Island. They definitely would not sell tilapia Frankenfish here. I remember visiting one of the more stylish restaurant on City Island, I was so disappointed to see tilapia on the menu and I could not finish my food. I would recommend they do something to make make themselves stand out more. When I mention Archies, many Yacht club members that of been going to city Island forever say Arties?“

“Great little pub with an old school local vibe. Burgers and wings are very good. The wings are on the larger side so if you're more into the smaller wings with less meat on the bone you may not love them.My kids love the pizza. I'm a little more neutral on it due to the crust leaning a little towards a "store bought" type. But the sauce and toppings are spot on.The employees are great across the board. They all seem to enjoy working there vs just "having a job". Good place to hang with some friends or eat with the family.Parking: Depending on the time of day can be a little challenging.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the dining room for sure. The bar area has high tops but I wouldn't say that space is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Not the easiest to access for people with disabilities.“

“when we got to the front door of this place, the bartender came out and opened the door to welcome us. We were just going to stay for one drink, but we stayed much longer. Everybody was so friendly, and the drinks are really really generous. what a great dive bar!“

“Alex and his team are always so hospitable, kind, fun and charismatic! We go to Alexs at least 3 times a week!! The food is always perfection. Great quality and portions for a great and enjoyable meal. The wines are the best! Especially the reds! We also love hanging out at the bar and eating/drinking while having great convos with the regulars. Alexs food and atmosphere make it a very fun & enjoyable time! Highly recommend!!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options upon request. On the menu they have plenty of delicious pasta dishes, beautiful salads, amazing eggplant parm, and the best soups!! “Wasn’t sure what to expect when I stopped here for a quick dinner. Is it a sports bar? Is it a bistro tavern? It kind of has a sports bar feel when you walk in but then it leads to a compact, cozy dining room. French Onion Soup was decent. Burger was very good - fries that came with it were top notch. Service was friendly and efficient. I might stop by again if I’m in the area.“

“Made a reservation, and first impressions were good. the first seating they placed us had a broken table so they moved us which was nice they let us pick any spot. the place had Good ambiance with good music that set a good vibe and plenty of tvs to watch sports game. The service was good too our waiter always stopped by to check on us if we need anything. they also gave good recommendations on the menu. the beverages like the mule were good and the food was okay, albeit a bit overpriced for the area. we got quesadillas, wings, sliders, and 2 basket of fries with plenty of drinks. they also tacked on a mandatory 20% gratuity for a party of 3. the beverages were pretty good i enjoyed it. i'll definitely come back !“

The veal chop... to die for! Wonderful service the 1st time. Everything was perfect. It was just ok last week, at best. But they were super busy and perhaps short-handed. In any event, there was an automatic 20% tip applied to the bill, so perhaps the server didn't care to give it her personal best. Still, we'll definitely return and recommend Roost.“

The staff are very friendly and you'll always run into some neighborhood locals. Definitely a New Rochelle staple and you should stop by if you can. “Biggest sleeper kitchen in town. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Formerly known as multiple dive bars different owners over many years. You now get homemade gourmet food from a Pugliese chef. Rice balls, pasta dishes, ribs, food all around. Good to get a drink and sandwich with fries. Go bananas with the steak for two. Just go.“

The bartenders and the patrons are so friendly, social and some silly and make you feel very welcoming. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and watch the numerous hawks flying overhead which is a sight to see! Bridget and Desi are such wonderful friendly owners also. The only thing I did not like is one of the appetizers was a coconut shrimp cocktail. I've never had coconut shrimp in a cocktail sauce. I thought it was weird but everything else was good.“
