“Jill and I had a wonderful early dinner at Aroma Thyme Bistro yesterday after the Blueberry Festival. A few months ago, after my Mom's funeral, we had her repast at Aroma Thyme as well. The food was top notch gourmet fare every time. Jamie & Marcus took extraordinarily good care of us whether we came for an intimate dinner, or as a large group. Highly recommended and always returning.”

“Hands down, the best butternut squash soup with chicken and veggies I've ever had, and the giant buttered roll was a huge bonus. And I am normally very picky and I never write reviews on Google. I especially appreciate it because I have been virtually unable to eat for a long time towards the end of my pregnancy and it has difficult getting back into eating postpartum. This was the most delicious meal I have had in a very long time and truly appreciate the cook who made it.”

“Admittedly, I was very picky about the details I wanted for my wedding cake. I found portions of past cakes that Maxine had made and frankensteined together my dream creation. Maxine was very patient and helpful during this design process and nailed my vision. It was beautiful and delicious! She even worked with my florist to add some accents. She was also the only person in the area I could find willing to deliver, which was a huge plus for me (who wants the stress of a dropped cake on their wedding day?).”

“I’ve been on a tour of ice cream shops in the area—so far Cherries, Sleeping Giant, and Barthel’s. I think Barthel’s wins for me, because they have 5 different flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cotton candy, and I think pineapple. I got the strawberry and it actually tasted like strawberry, rather than something artificial! In terms of prices, they are very high—that small cone dipped in rainbow sprinkles was $5. Still, for the occasional treat, Barthel’s has the best soft-serve among these 3 ice cream shops.”
