“Gregarious service, great coffee and food and an adorable location“

“I was in Valhalla to visit my brother--who is dead. In other words, it was a visit to a large cemetery in Valhalla. After the visit, I was hungry and Pat's was the first restaurant I encountered. It was already 2 p.m. so I didn't want t scour the town, so I figured, let's give it a try.\n\nGood choice. It is a simple deli with a large menu and a friendly staff, They have many kinds of sandwiches on many kinds of bread and plenty of salads. Prices are quite reasonable. There are a few tables where you can sit and eat or they can package your food for takeaway.\n\nI had a hot roast beef sandwich. It was freshly prepared and yummy. They have many other deli-type sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. If you are in the Valhalla area for any reason and are looking for a simple place to get a tasty lunch at a reasonable (for 2025) price, Pat's is a good choice. Just good food in a modest room.“

“What a lovely family owned establishment! Went here to grab lunch for my family and everyone loved their sandwiches. Portions were HUGE and everyone kept commenting on the generous amounts of meat! The inferno was my fav! Stay a few minutes to chat with the family while you watch them make your meal!“

“First time buying lunch here I ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce , tomato, mayonnaise and oil & vinegar. Perfect portion and flavor not too bulky unlike other delis that put so much stuff in the sandwich you’d be overwhelmed. I pretty much ate all in one sitting. I have very sharp ears for some reason I heard him say something after I ordered I forgot to ask to toast the roll. So I saw him put the entire bread with mayonnaise lettuce and tomato on the grill. The guy looked a little grumpy or just his normal demeanor who knows I’ve never been there before lol. Sandwich roll price $9.75 plus tax came out $10.30.“

“The place is nice! The parking is street parking though. The food is delicious! I had chicken sorrento which was amazingly good. Great servers too! The owner is a great guy, got to meet him.... this was the 2nd time I was there, I recommend Amici's if you enjoy Italian food. It's a restaurant, not a deli.“

“Went here for a Bacon Egg and Cheese. After tax with card it was $6 which was disappointing especially considering the lack of egg bacon and cheese compared to bread. The order came out fast and the guy who helped me was nice. It was a good sandwich but there are plenty of other places charging the same price or less for a much fuller sandwich that tastes just as good. I get the economy is bad but I’d rather the base sandwich be another ridiculous dollar more for a reasonable amount of fillings.“

“Best deli sandwiches I've tried so far outside of NYC. That being said, there was a bit of a delay with my pickup since I used their actual website and not one of the delivery apps. Sounded like they had forgotten to check it, I imagine the apps get way more traffic. A bit annoying but they quickly made it on the spot and apologized.Anyways, we ordered a pastrami and Italian sandwich. The pastrami sandwich was 4.5/5, a good amount of meat, nice crispy edges, but maybe a hair too salty on some bites. Paired it with some home made spicy mayo and it brought it to 5/5. Definitely getting this again.The Italian was solid and provided loads of meat. We enjoyed it but personally would have liked a tad more oil and vinegar. We gave this a 4/5.Both sandwiches are so packed that they can easily be split up into 2 pieces (maybe even 3 depending on who's eating it). So great option for leftovers.Recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood looking for a great sub.“

“Always always fantastic! Agree with early reviewer who commented, “Don’t be fooled by “deli” in the name. This is seriously good cuisine.” Since day 1, consistently the best quality take-out in the area. Menu is much broader than suggested by the name. No reason to go anywhere else for a sandwich (any type), taco, entrée, or any other food to get on the run. Every item is homemade including the desserts and frozen treats. Fabulously warm and helpful staff. And remember, there’s parking in the back. (No seating or tables.)“

“Over the years I must have passed this place. Thousands of times. One day one of our buddies from the dog park told me to try this deli. What a great guy! Is the owner clean? Beautiful koi fish outside parking lot in the back. Great! The fool was fantastic and you have to go there. He makes a 6-ft wedge Italian combo. You tell him how big you want it and he'll sell it. Sell it to you. It's amazing . I can't say no more“

“Stopped here on a whim, as I was making a delivery in the area around lunchtime. I am very glad I did. I got the cheesesteak hero and an Arizona tallboy for a sawbuck. The cheesesteak was phenomenal, served piping hot on great bread. I wish I took a pic, but, the scent enticed me into a devour trance. 10/10, I would recommend. Also, very friendly and fast service. Adding this gem to my lunch spots.“

The cold cuts are the real deal and Ricky makes several daily. if you are from Port Chester, Marini's is a staple, a must go to deli.
