“Love this place, but there are two downsides. One, the beverage cups. The lids never stay open and leak. And two, the man who works the counter whenever I visit (the one who handles the coffees) is very cold. He has been the same ever since I first visited this place 2 years back. I was hoping he would change his demeanor over time so that I would not have to write this, but he still is cold as the first day I met him. He does not make me feel welcomed, has made careless jokes in the past, and never greets me with a smile. I always feel like I am walking on eggshells whenever I ask him for assistance. Aside from that, I do really love the coffee and bagel options, the atmosphere is warm, and the owner is very inviting. It would just be nice to not feel like I am a burden every single time I stop in, and I would visit much more often.

Side note: I am as friendly as can be, so I know that's not the issue here.“

“I’ve tried so many bagels on Long Island. They’re all good, but none compare to Town Bagel. The perfect amount of “chew” you know? Fresh, delicious bagels. The everything bagels are insane- none of that sticky wet seasoning on top like some other places. Perfection. If you get a breakfast sandwich, they’re very generous with the bacon- and it’s good bacon. I love the crumb cake and the giant sprinkle cookies. The coffee is hot and fresh. Tuna salad is not too mayo-y, really good. Sunflower seed flagels are great too. I always buy an extra dozen bagels, slice and freeze them at home. Town Bagel is family owned, it’s clean, and I love it so much. Even if you’re loyal to your local bagel place, give Town Bagel a try. I won’t tell anyone.“

“I am in town for the weekend and stopped in for coffee and breakfast at about 11 am on a Saturday. I was originally going to pick up food to head back over to the airbnb but ended up staying while I ate a chicken empanada, an Everything Flagel (flat bagel) with lox cream cheese, and a cup of coffee. As I ate, a lot of people came and went and seemed to know the place really well. It appears to be a family business and the customer service is friendly and efficient. The parking is plentiful and convenient, and the place is clean with a great assortment of fresh bagels. The coffee is fresh and average tasting. I was amazed at how many people ordered ordered bagels with the inside fluff scooped out, which I have been doing forever. This is why I was so happy to discover the Flagel which I asked them to scoop out anyway, but there was less to scoop out because it is already flat. I'm interested only in the crispy part, not the soft bready part inside. The empanada was great. They have chicken and beef. If you buy 6 of them, then the 7th one is free. The dessert/sweets assortment varied from things that looked homemade to packaged cookies to muffins from Costco. To go, I bought 2 more garlic bagels with lox and regular cream cheese, a bagel with some homemade chicken salad, a beef and a chicken empanada, plus a black-and-white cookie (which was fresh and delicious even though it was prepackaged.) This place is great, and I wish there was one like this where I live in Redondo Beach, CA. The only negative thing I have to say about Bethpage Bagels is that I wish that they would accept some form of payment other than only cash. Even if it were Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal, any other option would be an easier and more sanitary way to pay for food. I don't like seeing people in a food establishment handling dirty coins and bills if they are also putting food into bags and containers. That's the only reason why I didn't give this place a 5-star rating. If this were not a cash only establishment, I would've purchased 7 empanadas to go, instead of only 2!“

“I have been coming to Bagelville for a while and they never disappoint. Their bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches are so delicious. They know how I like my eggs and not once have they messed up my order. Their burgers are so juicy and their fries are crispy, not burnt or over cooked, just perfect. Their egg salad is fresh and also delicious. Bagels and rolls are also fresh daily. Not once have I ever had any issue with their food. The cook does an amazing job and the guys in the front are so friendly and always have a smile on their face. I wanted to try their new ice latte and the caramel and chocolate ones taste so good. Another thing is that the place is always clean and tidy. They have an excellent menu for breakfast and lunch. You can’t go wrong coming to this place. It’s amazing.“

“I love this place but please if you guys see this review, my wife and I love your bagels but my wife just got diagnosed with Celiac which means she can't have anything with gluten anymore, if you guys can come up with a gluten free bagel option so that she can have her nova sandwich that will be great! You might already have the option but we just don't know about it so please if you see this review reply and let us know. My wife and I love the Nova sandwiches with the pickles and potato salad on the side, I have told all my clients about you guys, everytime someone asks what's a good bagel place that I know I brag about you guys. “We ordered a 5’ hero - half fried chicken cutlet with peppers and mozzarella and half with lettuce , tomato and cheese. We also ordered mild Buffalo wings. I have to tell you that the hero’s were delicious and the wings were some of the best I’ve had!! Christine was very sweet and responsive, and made the ordering process very easy. “i got the chicken cutlet cup bap. it was good. The japchae was great and the kimchi wasn't too strong, but the chicken was a little bit burnt and the rice lacked salt. Otherwise, nice place, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. But the cups are 13 dollars, not 12 as it says in the store or $15 like on here.“

They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“
