“The hostess tried to seat us in the empty private room in the back without offering a choice for the main dining area and we were forced object to this and were then seated on the floor. Based on the fact that both of our entre’s , filet, trout, were perfectly cooked and presented and delightful, a four star minimum is justified. Our side of brussels was undercooked and hard as rocks. The cocktails were perfectly done. No cheese cake after a steak? No coffee beans in the sambuca? The venue turned out to be a cut below. The pricing was fair in my opinion so on balance, an average dining experience overall. There are better options for sure.“

But what makes George White so special is the staff. The owner and waitstaff are generous and friendly and you kind of wish they'd join you for dinner! Love this place. “Tasting room is a hit! From the atmosphere to the food and the creative cocktails that they’re making this place is a very welcomed addition to the downtown Farmingdale area. From the burger to the lasagna, everything we ordered was yummy. The owner is a very hard-working long-standing business owner Who puts his heart and soul into his establishment. I highly recommend giving Tasting Room a try.“

“I ended up at Rustic Root twice this weekend. Once for lunch with my hubby. Great Caesar (we shared), followed up with delicious burgers and fries…best buns ever! I liked the vibe so much that when a friend wanted to meet up for a nice glass of wine, that became our destination. Super friendly bartender Hailey, pointed us to the perfect glass tonight. We paired it with a yummy flatbread to share. Great vibe, great food, great service!“

First - A shout out to Luis, our server, for the wonderful service! Now to the food, Our Sage House salad was delicious - all fresh and tasty ingredients! For entrees, I thoroughly enjoyed the super tasty and fresh Frutti De Mer, In a delicious red sauce, this was a best ever, chunks of sole filet, mussels, the tenderest Calamari, and clams. Simply delicious, and with a basket of bread to help soak up all that delicious sauce!!! My other half enjoyed the Cacio y Pepi - Super tasty, another great choice! For dessert, Profiteroles - a puff pastry with ice cream in the middle, served with chocolate sauce and fresh berries. Another great choice paired with a cup of hot, black coffee. A great choice for lunch or dinner and Sage also has Sunday brunch.“

“Whenever we come to Hicksville, Piccolo's is always a place we visit at least twice. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are reasonably priced and the food is delicious. I also love the Salvadorian selection of hot foods and pupusas. The owner is always very friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience or meal from here. I cannot recommend Piccolo's enough!!“

“Neiman Marcus Cafe stands out among the food offerings at the mall. The atmosphere is simple yet sophisticated. Paul, our server, was excellent. “I love to travel, and Revel restaurant in Garden City, NY, is truly one of the best restaurants I have been to. The managerial staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Melissa, our server, explained everything so well, and she took her time with us. The wait staff worked with her seamlessly so that everything came out on time, and our water glasses were always full. The cuisine offered so many different choices, even for vegetarians and vegans. The vegetarian dishes I tried were a myriad of flavors, and it was so nice to experience new creations that I have never had at any other restaurant. Revel’s decor and lighting made us feel like we were somewhere very special but also comfortable. If I lived near this restaurant, I would visit frequently. We loved our experience.“

Gyro had plenty of meat (lamb) w/lettuce, tomatoes & onions. All very fresh. Husband had Falafel which he said was absolutely delicious. We had a great lunch.
