“The ambiance was nice and bright; the walls are decorated with various beautiful sea shells.
The vegetable tempura was crispy and light.
The Bonsai sushi roll was the highlight with crispy shrimp tempura & avocado inside, topped with delicious variety of spicy crab, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and whitefish - each bite has a different taste - highly recommend. Beauty Alaska roll was light with salmon inside and topped with salmon roe - this complemented the Bonsai roll very well.“

“Another fantastic Japanese dining experience in Poughkeepsie! Bonsai 2 certainly deserves its five-star rating for its delicious food, fresh ingredients, generous portions and wonderful service. A delightful discovery that exceeded my expectations!
I ordered their Mushroom Crab Soup and Seafood Roll, and both were absolutely delicious!
The Mushroom Crab Soup was a lovely way to begin the meal. Comforting, flavourful and wonderfully satisfying, it offered a delightful combination of ingredients that made every spoonful enjoyable.
The Seafood Roll was equally impressive! The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, complemented by delicious flavours and a satisfying combination of textures. Beautifully prepared and appetisingly presented, it was a real treat from the first bite to the last.
What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly, creating a pleasant and relaxed dining atmosphere.
Considering the quality of the ingredients, delicious food and overall experience, Bonsai 2 offers excellent value for money. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that delivers such enjoyable Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices.

“Uber eats delivery. Everything delicious! Tried something different Kang Keow Wan Community & Thai Dumplings. Loved it. Dumpling appetizers really good. Enjoyed with Spaghetti style slices carrot and dipping sauce. Main meal wonderful. Great flavor steaming hot. Spicy so careful if not your thing. Everything comes together, so good! Added Jasmine rice, perfection Couldn't wait leftovers today.. Highly Recommend. Also recommend trying something new. Believe will be pleasantly surprised whatever order won't be disappointed. I look forward trying Lots different dishes never had before.“

“I've had Thai food on 2 coasts, in 4 states, and homecooked by a Thai friend. Lopburi Thai is the best Thai food I have ever had. We spend our time eating talking about what we're going to order next trip. Next trip is probably 3 days from now! We open conversations with "Do you like Thai food?" When we're not eating there, we're talking about eating there! My husband is working his way through the curries, which are outstanding, with the occasional stop for Chili Basil! I've had the Pad Thai, Chili Basil, Drunken Noodles, the Thai fried rice, Sweet & Sour, Curry puffs, Dumplings (OMG!). The seasoning/spiciness is on point each time. The food is very obviously fresh (you can tell) and is delivered to your table right from the pan/wok steaming hot. Haven't tried the seafood, not big on seafood, but the gentleman sitting next to me had some of the best-looking shrimp I have ever seen, absolutely no odor/scent/smell. It had not been sitting around anywhere. A generous mug of Thai iced tea if that's your thing! As you sit there and eat you often find yourself chatting with other patrons about how good the food is! I am not a friend or family member. I don't even know the names of the staff, so this is a real review from a real patron who can't wait to go back. Oh, speaking of the staff, pleasant, attentive without being a nuisance and always smiling. Please give them a try, you won't be sorry.“
