“Today was our first time trying this delightful little gem of a Mexican restaurant. Food was hot, delicious and the portions were HUGE! The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. Who knew they'd add refried beans to queso if that's what you ordered accidentally? 😂 We are definitely adding El Sol to our monthly rotation as it cost us far less to eat there than it would at a local chain.”

“Went today with my husband and had the best crepes and coffee. The owners are SUPER friendly and seem to really know their guests and make a effort to make you feel welcome. While there I watched them carry food out for 2 seperate people while holding the door open. It's really nice to see a place so caring to their customers. We will definitely be back!”

My sisters 5-year old twins celebrated their birthday with 2 younger kids in tow, and as someone with a long history in the restaurant industry, this is an image that makes servers run for the hills. BUUUUUT, he handled our group of 8, with 4 kids with patience and grace and did a really good job. Attentive and timely and the kids loved chatting with him and complimenting their experience as well. We made sure to clean up our destruction from the table and made sure to tip extra because a party of 8 with 4 kids is tough. (Let that be a note for other customers!) Thank you so much for having us and giving the kids such a great experience!”

“Our first time at The Hungry Bear today. It was busy but both waitresses acknowledged us and we were served quickly. Breakfast was good, they even brought an extra egg to our table as one of the yolks was broken. That to me was exceptional customer service and not expected. Portions are big. Friendly staff. Definitely would recommend and will go back. Cozy rustic interior.”

“We took our family there tonight and it was an incredible dinning experience! We have kids ages 13, 12, 9 and 7. The 9 year old wanted the lobster dinner which we let him try! He had a blast. Kelly the waitress went so far above and beyond to help him and entertain our kids. The kids were curious about seeing a live lobster and she brought one out before dinner and at the end. At the end she gave an entire science lesson to the kids. The food was great too.”

Bonus, they have a wee playground right next to it where we could have the kids play while we waited for a table on their beautiful deck looking at the Green Mountains. The biggest hit was their pretzel appetizer and pizza, the kids were nuts for them. And that cheese was 👌 I dipped my burger in it.”
