“I don't like girls but the bartender's cute as a button very attentive. The clientele is mix generations & friendly, very comfortable (nice distancing) But the happy hour special weekdays is off the charts! It was a pleasure to visit, I wish I lived closer!“

“This is a local bar, not uptown by any means. That being said, upon a friend's recommendation I decided to do a take-out fish fry. It was far and away the best fish fry I've had in a long time. I've also had their beef on weck which is as good as any around. The bartenders are very friendly as well as the clientele. I would highly recommend either dine-in or take-out.“
“My friend and I host a trivia night every 2nd Monday of each month. Bar tabs are the prize, more participants, more prizes. Five dollar entry...lots of fun, very nice people, easy to get the questions as they are broadcast on the 3 televisions.“

“Maybe we were overhyped. Everything I heard and read said this place was legendary. But the menu was limited: beef on Weck and buffalo wings... or if you want a pizza, you can get the same options but on a crust with cheese. Otherwise, fairly standard sports bar apps.
The inside seemed too dark for a lunch, and the 'outside' area with lots of snow was crowded. Service was polite, but slow for such a small menu. We're told the place always gets a wait by noon and yet it takes 25 minutes to get your food even with so few options for entrees seems uncalculated and unnecessarily slow.
Food was good, but I'd say I've had equal quality wings and sauce at a bit fairer price. And the beef on weck seemed on par with Charlie the butcher, but comes with a handful of chips, not fries, at $15 for just the sandwich? I couldn't go 5 stars. Cost of business, I suppose

“My boyfriend & I came here for dinner while on an overnight in East Aurora. Outstanding food and service! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and even changed the channel for us on the TV closest to us. The Kobe beef burger was phenomenal! Highly recommend. The service was more welcoming than other restaurants we went to in the area.“

“My husband and I went to the Dog Bar last Thursday. The person who returned my call for a reservation gave us a very nice table - I had wanted a quiet table for two. The waitress, Anne (I think I got the name right), was fantastic with a nice personality. She answered any questions about the menu perfectly and her timing with the courses was spot-on. The steaks were cooked as requested. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and there were so many interesting things to read and look at on the walls that if conversation isn't your thing, you could amuse yourself by looking around. All-in-all, we had a really nice time and we both enjoyed our meals. Thank you to the friendly staff and good chefs at the Dog Bar!“
