Fried Shrimp

“My mom and dad, John and Dors Gerrity owned this place as Doreda Restaurant across from Eddie's Delicatessen in the 60s. Before and during college I worked at Robinson Knife Factory up the street. Wertzels was the bar just before the tracks. Bob Johnson Motors was next door. Seeing this great place brings back huge memories of my parents, John and Dora Gerrity. I worked the counter as a young, young waiter for six years.“

“The burger was nice and thick and was good tasting, but a bit overcooked as it was not served pink as ordered. Our sweet potato fries and hash browns were crispy and both tasted really good. The roast beef was served thinly sliced and had a small cup of aus jus that was appreciated. Both the burger and Kimmelweck rolls were good and held up to the sandwiches. There was plenty of parking and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed our meal in a casual environment. There is a sand volleyball court to enjoy on warmer days. We'll be glad to stop again.“

Lawrence's Tavern Bar • $$
10 N Buffalo St, Springville

“Lawrence's Tavern is a great local bar/pub in downtown Springville, in which, has been in business since the 1930's. It's has local sport theme, and reminds me a bit of a classic American bar with all of your traditional, and classic American beers. Additionally, the music is never too loud to drown out conversation. Finally, the proprietor is a very friendly guy. In my opinion, I would recommend this bar to meet up with friends and to enjoy each others conversations.“

“Have enjoyed everything I've ever ordered, and at reasonable prices.. the service is sometimes a bit slow, since there is usually one server, who is also the bartender .. still worth it ..Parking: Probably can squeeze in about 15 cars, motorcycle parking in front“

Pepper Soup

“Fish fry was crispy and flaky. Tuna Salad was Pittsburgh style, not creamy (my favorite) and the fries are hand cut. A deliciously soft hard roll to go with itFrench onion soup was top quality, one of the best in WNY says my partner in dining. The French dip you get to choose your doneness, so thrilling for those that like their meat rare. The au jus was a bit too salty for his liking, but French dip typically is. The chips are handmade though also a little too salty.Service was pleasant and prompt. The only downside? The water is absolutely disgusting. If you're a water drinker, spend a little extra and order bottled.“

“The food and atmosphere were great, but our server was not attentive. She seemed annoyed and frazzled, and it wasn't busy. Then we went to bar to get drinks and glasses because we waited so long, and the bartender was rude also! Bad service!! Except for the service, I would of given 5 stars.“
