“My experience at Allegria Ristorante involved attentive, courteous and friendly waitstaff, a clean and well designed environment, and food that was superb. My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Capping off our experience, our reservation was intentionally set for 6:30 PM - in August 2024, Saturday dnnertime entertainment is jazz standards in chord melody form expertly played by Raphael Silverman on a gorgeous Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar through a Henrikson Bud Six amp. Nice clean tone comes through very well in this setting .”

“Over the years I must have passed this place. Thousands of times. One day one of our buddies from the dog park told me to try this deli. What a great guy! Is the owner clean? Beautiful koi fish outside parking lot in the back. Great! The fool was fantastic and you have to go there. He makes a 6-ft wedge Italian combo. You tell him how big you want it and he'll sell it. Sell it to you. It's amazing . I can't say no more”

We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed dining there. That means so much. The Thanksgiving menu had many delicious choices and the portions were perfect. We will return when in the area.”

“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! “Used to go the Mount Vernon shop when I was a kid, then after the fire and they moved to the Bronx..followed them down there- EVEN when the current owner bought from the gentile older man from MV... "Paul" has kept up standards. The Coco Breads are THE BOMB - I'd know, I was taught to make them at the bakery my Granny worked in Mo'bay every summer! A MUST HAVE !!!! Go out of your way. Brave the parking situation. DO IT, you will not regret it!”

“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!”

And of course chips with salsa and guacamole. Everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Ambiance is very nice and the music… I was singing and dancing waiting for my food. “If you ever want to impress your friends & family with your good taste, take them here! Ever since they opened, we've continually been returning to this awesome restaurant. Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!”
