“The Food here is the same as there other locations but this location is more of a restaurant they have nice interior with a neutral blue and white color scheme as well as there packaging. I’ve taken my immediate family ,taken friends , when my outer states visitors come is the first place they get taken to also!! “Absolutely loved this place definitely a hole in the wall. Be prepared to EAT they do serve heavy, recommend come with an appetite. Prices are fair $40 for a large drink that serves two, Quesabirria that truly serves 2 and tacos de res (beef tacos) that serve 2. Overall ambiance is great makes it feel like home. Overall 10/10

Raíces Modern Mexican is an absolute gem! From the beautiful atmosphere to the welcoming service, everything about this place makes you want to stay and enjoy the experience.

But the Steak Frites… WOW. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. The steak was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, while the fries were crispy, seasoned perfectly, and the ideal complement to the steak. Every bite was better than the last.

You can tell there’s real attention to detail behind the food here. The flavors are bold, the presentation is beautiful, and the whole experience feels like a step above your typical Mexican restaurant.

Great salsa verde (sometimes it is a bit spicy, so careful folks). Delicious chilaquiles. Great torta. Hand squeezed orance juice. This is a hidden gem. Somewhat easy to park.“

Spanish-language talk shows or telenovelas on a 50" screen blare their Central- and South-American equivalents of nonsense TV. It all makes for a perfect combination of a good lunch somewhere.The food is top notch, with the chips/salsa plentiful. Want guac? It's homemade and, if I recall, $8 for a ton of it. Their plates will overwhelm you, again, for a reasonable price. Plus, seasonings are spot on.You have to go there. Tip well. I know I will again after a luncheon there once upon a random time.“

We’ve been here before and every time, it just gets better. This visit we had the torta and tacos de lengua, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The torta was packed with flavor and perfectly toasted, and the lengua tacos were melt-in-your-mouth tender. The customer service is always so friendly and genuine.
Out of all the spots we’ve tried in Rockland, this one is literally the best. No question. The quality, the flavor, it’s unmatched. If you haven’t been here you’re seriously missing out. Do yourself a favor and try this place !“

“My wife and I were in such a horrible mood and we constantly keep fighting. When we got to the restaurant, it felt so welcoming. My wife and I were feeling at ease. When we got our food. I’ve gotten the carnitas quesadilla and my wife got 1 carnitas and 1 steak taco.
Omg when I tell you our mood changed instantly. We went from being mad at each-other to being in love once again. All our problems went away once we both took our first bite.

“Went here with a group of friends. They were very accommodating and we had great service. The decor is very rustic and the live fire and large comal is a nice touch as well as functional! They make fresh flour and corn tortillas for your order. I had the carnitas platter and it was perfectly cooked. Would definitely go back again.
