“Farrells, West islip03/13/24Found myself meeting someone at Farrells, in West Islip, this evening..They called and canceled while I was waiting for them to show up, so I ate alone ?‍♂️I ordered the burger my usual medium rare, with cheddar, the bun toasted, and fries extra crispy..Holy Moly, was I surprised about how good this burger is.My surprise came from me never hearing from anyone that Farrells had a good burger!!! I think Gerry Ryan let me down on this one.??And, I asked for an Old Fashioned, and was told " "they dont make them"?Irish bar, so I'll cut them some slack?☘ Fair enough, I had a Harp, which I thoroughly enjoyed, cold, crisp, and freshThe burger came to me a near perfect medium rare. Kudos to the Chef!The taste of the meat hit all my tastebud cylinders.Salty, earthy, unctuous tastes, were all there.I'm not sure what Brand Angus they use, but it's a definite winner, in my mind.You could tell they "hand press" this hamburger, in house; just from seeing, and tasting the loose structure of the meat as it sat in the bun.Not Top 5, but definitely a "Top 10" on my Burger scale? Excellent burger.Good price, as well, $15.25, with friesI think they need a new pretzel bun, but that's just one man's opinion. It wasnt bad, but...The hand cut fries were also really good...Very crispy on the outside, pillowy soft, and a prominent potatoy taste, on the inside.The service was excellent, with the busy bartenders being very efficient with their movements.Most of the tables were filled, and more than half the bar stools were filled, when I was there at 6pm, and service did not falter.Parking was relatively easy this evening at 6pm ish, as there is a parking lot behind it, and there is street parking..I have passed there when the lot was filled to capacity, and most of the close street parking was taken, and have had to park a distance away.As I was paying the bill, and complimenting the burger to the bartender, she shared that Burgers are 1/2 off on Mondays and Thursdays?They also have a lot of Happy Hour Food specials, that are on their website, like 1/2 price wings one day, $4 Taco Tuesdays, and other things I didnt pay attention to, but noted, for future reference ?Farrells of Brooklyn ,263 Higbie LaneWest IslipRight before the Higbie, Udal Rd split03/13/24“

“Love this bar so much. My friends and I go there all the time after our gigs, and the server Joanne always takes such good care of us. The food is delicious, the vibes are cozy, and everything is super clean. A great place to have a drink or bring your loved ones!

Vegetarian options: Not a veg heavy menu, but I'm sure if you asked for options they would make something for you. It's just that kind of place.

Parking: Parking can be tough, especially on the weekends.

“Had dinner yesterday at Lily’s ate Al Fresco, fantastic evening. From the moment we walked in the door the hostess Jen was so accommodating and pleasant to our server Anj (sp) the dinner could not have been better. Mind you the Village of Babylon was hosting their THURSDAY BLOCK PARTY SERIES so the village and Lily were packed but yet we felt valued as customers, our server never missed a beat tremendous. Of of the food and drinks are always outstanding, who knew you can get great empanadas at an Irish restaurant, well take it from me, OUTSTANDING.
If you’ve never been you owe to yourself to give Lily’s a shot, I highly recommend it.

“Vietnamese food was something that took a long time to get to Nassau County. I use to only get it when on business trips. Now I come here as often as I can. Every item on the menu is excellent. Beef Pho is so good! Atmosphere is nice and clean and the service are great too. I'm going again today!“

“I just need to shout out Deli Zone b/c I've been coming here a few years and I always enjoy it. Everything is priced well, and the food is solid. Nothing fancy, just hearty and filling. I'm obsessed with their healthy breakfast wraps. My favorite is the Energy breakfast wrap. Just bomb. I stop in for breakfast and lunch often and usually order breakfast wraps and sandwiches. “I was in town from Florida visiting cousins & they heard great things about this place, so we figured we would try it out! Well, it did NOT disappoint in every way! The decor and vibe is really cool with a beach/nautical theme. The food and drinks were delicious! The roasted brussel sprouts & the Shepherd’s Pie was to die for! Our waitress, Nicole, was great and funny! The bartenders, Joe & Katie, made amazing & different cocktails and were so warm & attentive! They had a one man band singing who was really talented! We even met the owners who could not be more welcoming, friendly and attentive making sure we were having a great time and we were happy with everything! “We celebrated our anniversary at Bijou in Melville last weekend & it was our first time dining there. I was impressed that they have the kitchen behind a glass wall so that you can see just how clean they keep it! Our waitress was excellent, gave us some great suggestions & was all around a very attentive server. We started with drinks. I had the Lychee Martini & he had a drink called The Beckoning Cat. I LOVED the Martini & he said his drink was good but not his favorite. It was a Sunday night so we each only had 1 drink. Next we had an appetizer. We got the Fried Chicken Bao Buns. I was a little disappointed that it came with 3.... since that made it hard to split between the 2 of us... but I ended up having 2 and he had 1 because he could see how much I enjoyed the first one. They are DELICIOUS - the buns were pillow soft and the chicken was cooked perfectly crunchy, and they also had pickled onion & carrot on them. Next I had the the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice & the Blue Fin Toro roll. The crispy rice has Spicy Tuna, avocado, jalapeno, tobiko, wasabi cream & sweet soy (recommended by our server) which was delicious & just enough to fill me up along with the sushi roll. The Blue Fin Toro Roll has mango, cucumber, tobiko, wasabi mayo, chutoro, scallion, yuzu miso & tempura crunch - MIND BLOWINGLY DELICIOUS!! This was the BEST Sushi Roll I have ever eaten in my entire life!! He had the Marinated Wagyu Skirt Steak, which comes with shisho chimichurri & soy demi glace, and a side of Loaded Roast Potatoes. I forgot to take a picture... whoops! I tasted both & they were also delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and we both enjoyed the marinade quite a bit. The potatoes were also very good, though nothing to go crazy for. Finally, our waitress asked if we wanted to order desert but we were both too full, so we decided to pass even though there were a few I did want to try. Then she came out with a fresh berry tart with a sparkler as an anniversary surprise!! Well, I had just enough room for that & it was also delicious!! All in all, a great experience and we will be returning in the future, for sure!!“

We came to this spot (by the way it's called "American Standard"). I think the bar/restaurant change the name.This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute.The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect.The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It's very causal.“

“Pretty good experience. What you would most likely expect from a chain-restaurant . Place had a port town atmosphere, square shaped bar on one side and tables and booths on the other.
My opinion is the wings are the best item on the menu. I got a grilled chicken salad. Decent quality, but the quantity of chicken was way small. A very thin pounded out piece of chicken.
Overall an okay place. Service was very good. Our waitress was kind and attentive. All staff were friendly.
My fam went on a Saturday and our little girl's meal was free. Helps a lot when the bill comes.
