They treated me like I knew them for years within my first two minutes through the door and then before I knew it the mother was having me try the loaded fries, chicken, lamb and charged me a hug for the samples! lol The food and my experience were so outstanding that I insisted I brought my wife back for dinner the next night which we were again blown away by the Gyros, loaded fries, and rice bowl! I never write reviews but they exceeded my expectations enough where I'll take the time to give this well deserved review. They've earned our business and we will be customers going forward. Its worth the drive from Westmoreland for us... 👍👍“

“It’s a bar in an old, dark, borderline creepy place. Gives a haunted house vibe.But their draft beer selection is usually good. I’ve had apps there before, although not this time and they were good.Bartenders always know there stuff. It’s all in all a decent bar/restaurant.“

Ordered veal piccata, fried scallops, and chicken Marsala. Each dish was outstanding. The veal and the Marsala were easily the BEST we’ve EVER had while dining out! The service was outstanding as well. As far as we’re concerned, Cafe del Buono is the greater Utica area's finest Italian restaurant- and that’s really saying something considering the wealth of excellent alternatives. “My family ate at Venturas on Tuesday; my husband ordered the steak which I was seriously so impressed with that I just had to drive back there tonight to get a takeout NY strip for me (I did share with my husband too). AGAIN, very impressed! Perfect seasoning and tenderness which i have not had since eating at a Ruth Chris in FL! I love their bread with the Pesto in the oil! Nice touch. Thank you“

“Came to watch a band (Uncle Charlie & the Meatballs) & get some food. There was no table service (mentioned at the door). Band & steak sandwich was great. As the band started the food line went out the door. Once the band started you had to wait in line at the register to get a drink. My party didn't appreciate that. Maybe they were short staffed but it seems like their system. Glad I got my food early. Suggestion-get more registers. Good acoustics, what appeared to be acoustic panels installed throughout. I will definitely come back, just be warned.“

With higher prices and decreasing quality and every popular chain, Castlewood continues to offer their large menu, with same quality products! They have not changed that in this economy! “Very good food. My gf and I just started going here. It's our 2nd time. The breakfast is amazing. And very good priced. $12 for a 2 eggs, meat, hasbrowns or home fries and toast. Can't beat that. Best prices in the area. Can deff bring the family there and not empty the pocket like other diners in the area.

Girlfriend is very picky about her food especially her eggs. They've come out perfect over medium eggs both times. Great staff, service is great and very friendly people. Even the cook and dishwasher always have a smile on their faces and actually pay attention to the customers.

9/10/24 UPDATE. Lunch did not disappoint either. Gf got a Rachel (Turkey and Cole Slaw Ruben...by special request) (also at no additional cost and was able to change the rye bread to italian) amazing. And for $11.33 served with a pretty big serving of fries. I got a 1/3lb Daves Burger also amazing. $11.00. I added bacon and cheese for a $13.95 total. With sodas my bill was just under $33. Very affordable for 2 people to eat. Will deff keep coming back.“

Bar has a decent selection of craft beers, but the draft list placed prominently in the middle of the room, that the waitress pointed is to, was incorrect, and the waitress was obviously neither a craft beer drinker, nor trained on what they did have. She was pleasant, but needed some training.“
