“I am a frequent customer at bayabar Oceanside. I came to this one and had a bad experience. The curly hair girl that works there isn’t friendly at all. I saw them make my bowl wrong and when I addressed that they forgot coconut, didn’t put peanutbutter and that they had added honey they looked annoyed. Instead of remaking my bowl they decided to add coconut and peanutbutter on top of the honey. This was without consulting if I had a honey allergy. When I brought the bowl home there was barely any peanubutter and BARELY ANY ACAI BASE!

One of the owners Marco contacted me after this happened and was super nice and understanding. He refunded me and ensured that that would never happen again. I definitely will give this location another shot because of how nice the owner is and how well he handled the situation.“

“Stumbled across the place during my walk this afternoon, popped in for a smash burger and fries and was delighted to find the food was excellent! The burger was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the fresh cut fries were crispy and delicious. What a pleasant surprise! Welcome to the neighborhood, Empire Shop!“

“Wonderful Experience. Beautiful cafe.. They have polite and kind servers. Jessica made amazing coffee.. We tried the Caramel and Pistachio latte.. It was so yummy.. Wasn't sweet or overpowering.. Just perfect. Also the Banana Chocolate was so yummy I wanted to get one more, but they got over by the time I went to pick more!! Will come back again for sure.. Andres was super kind and let us eat the Bannana cake first without paying for it. Also the smile that they gave us made us feel amazing!!“

Found the environment friendly and warm, Danna the lady who greeted me, I found to be knowledgeable, helpful and patient with all my questions, helped me decide and create the perfect customized smoothie. I was able to sample the berry smoothie which was great ( even though I'm not a fan of bananas as they usually overwhelm everything else, however they balance the ingredients / flavors well and liked the berry blend.
I was able to substitute ingredients to blend the perfect flavor I was looking for. Acai your way, and the Berry smoothies are great. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a healthy option or enjoy a good smoothie! If you're not sure what you want ask Danna, she is great with customers!“

“Came in on a Friday at noon - the interior was welcoming and clean. I ordered the La Callejera and it was delicious! Service was quick and very nice. Portion was big for me - ended up eating half and will be eating other half for dinner. Would definitely come in again. Order total was about 21 for the torta and a Mexican coke.“

I chose United Special, my husband got something with lemon pepper chicken and it was sooo good! Every ingredient was fresh and high quality - especially loved the variety of cheeses. And I'm so glad we decided to try the tropical smoothie and watermelon juice. Made with fresh real fruits with no sugar added, they were perfect and tasted just like homemade! I wasn’t expecting to finish it due to the hot weather and to the big portion they provide. But I did demolished that dish. A balance of fresh veggies. A well cook rice and diced steak . “Subol in Howard Beach is a great spot with delicious food and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, and you can tell they use quality ingredients.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices felt a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes. Still, the overall experience from the service to the presentation was very enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for something flavorful and different!“

“I've been a lot since I've lived here in the past 4 years. I've tried at least half of their menu. It's pretty good honestly. It's a little pricier than other spots in comparison, but so far I've had no complaints with the quality. Also service has been nice and straight forward too. My biggest issue is their hours. They don't always seem to open on time (10am) like they say they will. Their start time seems to be too late already with Planet Fitness right next door. I can't be the only morning workout person who would want a smoothie at least by 8:30-9am. It seems counterintuitive to business. Anyway, that's just a side thought on the way to the point that they are worth going to.“
