“Been coming here occasionally for the last year and their burgers are highly underrated and delicious. They use fresh ingredients for the burgers every time and taste better than anywhere else. Would take a burger from here any day over anyone else in the area.“
“I recently found Jungle Bowls after strolling around Bay Ridge and being a fan of anything acai, I had to try it and am overall glad that I have! It is a small shop, but full of selections that can appeal to all those looking for a quick drink or desiring something more substantial. There are lots of offerings that vary from shots, to juices, smoothies, acai bows (and other varieties like coconut, pittaya etc) to toast and even overnight oats!I’ve ordered their acai bowls, overnight oats and most recently a “Hulk” smoothie. The acai bowls are plentiful and chocked full of yumminess with a substantial amount of acai. The overnight oats are rich, hearty and satisfying. The smoothie was my least favorite because all I could taste was the protein and the almond milk and none of the kale, banana and strawberry that were supposedly in there. So here are my impressions:Pros- Clean, friendly staff, good prices, tasty options and did I mention the variety!Cons - if they’re overwhelmed with a large order, be prepared to wait. I ordered 3 items and even though I was cautioned that they were finishing up a large order in front of me, I waited 23 minutes and saw 2 customers who came in after me get served and had their orders done. I understand that they had single items, but it is not fair to watch people come in after me get their items while I waited as long as I did. And even though the staff was apologetic, there was no compensation offered for that. Smoothies could be more balanced flavor wise.Give them a shot when you’re in the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back for the acai and oats.“
“Rarely do I feel compelled to leave a review, but I came into this store recently and received outstanding service. Melinda was so kind and cheerful - it really made my day. It’s rare to have such an encounter and she was truly a gem that made me want to become a regular. Not to mention the smoothie was delicious and the store extremely clean.“
“The Green Goddess drink, featuring almond milk, banana, pineapple, spinach, kale, and a double dose of vanilla protein, defied my preconceived notions regarding greens in protein beverages. Typically averse to the bitter aftertaste often associated with kale and spinach in such concoctions, I was pleasantly surprised by the remarkable blend offered by this drink. It proved to be an unparalleled delight, elevating my expectations for greens-based beverages. The amalgamation of almond milk, banana, pineapple, spinach, kale, and the double vanilla protein resulted in an exceptionally well-balanced and flavorful drink. The usual bitterness was notably absent, replaced instead by a symphony of complementary flavors that seamlessly intertwined, delivering a genuinely enjoyable and invigorating experience. This Green Goddess creation transcended my initial reservations, emerging as a testament to masterful mixology and flavor harmony.Furthermore, the Daily Detox drink, comprising apple, carrot, lemon, and cucumber, exemplified precision in balance and taste. Its smooth and harmonious fusion of ingredients was commendable, offering a refreshing and satisfying drinking experience. Not only did it go down effortlessly, but its effectiveness in fulfilling its detoxifying purpose was evident, leaving a positive impression of vitality and rejuvenation. In summary, both the Green Goddess and the Daily Detox drinks excelled beyond expectations. The former, despite my aversion to certain greens, triumphed with an exquisite blend of flavors, while the latter showcased a meticulous balance that seamlessly delivered on its detoxifying promise. These drinks earn a resounding 10/10 rating, and without hesitation, I express my admiration and eagerness to reorder, as they left an indelible mark with their exceptional quality and delightful taste.“
“Staff needs to stay off their phone or at least be discreet I'm sure they're supervisors tell them all the time. It's a little rude in customer service which I am in ,too have to be the customer and stand there for 30 seconds watching someone doing a text... I don't really care in the end because I just want my food and I'll yell over and say "hello!" but I shouldn't have to do that..Other than that everything is fresh and all ingredients are good never had a bad meal from this playa bowls ❤️“
“In my recent experience with the "Mocha Muscle" beverage, which boasted a blend of banana, vanilla protein, cold-brewed coffee, almond milk, I found it to be an overall pleasurable drink. While the concoction was notably good, my preference leans towards a more pronounced coffee taste. I sensed a slight imbalance, with the banana overpowering the coffee undertones. Despite this observation, the drink held its own, showcasing a commendable fusion of flavors, particularly the harmonious combination of vanilla proteinThe Koa Bowl, a delightful creation comprising granola, cashews, flax seeds, coconut flakes, and cocoa nibs, left a lasting impression with its delectable medley of textures and tastes. The synergy of the crunchy granola, creamy cashews, and the subtle crunch of flax seeds, enhanced by the sweetness of coconut flakes and the richness of cocoa nibs, created a memorable and flavorful bowl. Each component contributed to a well-balanced and satisfying culinary experience.Moving on to the "Kale Smoothie," featuring organic kale, banana, pineapple, honey, coconut milk, and apple juice, this drink managed to surpass my expectations despite my initial hesitation towards kale and spinach in beverages. The result was a surprisingly tasty concoction that effectively masked the assertive flavors of kale and spinach, providing a sweet and refreshing taste. The inclusion of banana, pineapple, honey, and coconut milk contributed to the overall palatability of the smoothie, making it a noteworthy choice even for those less inclined towards greens in their drinks.Lastly, the "Green Goddess" lived up to its name by fulfilling its intended purpose of cleansing. This drink, with its combination of cleansing ingredients, left me with a sense of rejuvenation and ensured a thorough "cleaning out."In conclusion, despite a minor preference for a stronger coffee note in the Mocha Muscle drink, the overall experience with these offerings was highly positive. The Koa Bowl and Kale Smoothie stood out for their exceptional flavors and creative ingredient combinations, while the Green Goddess left a lasting impression with its detoxifying effects.“
“a really good spot in the area for fresh smoothies. prices are affordable. the only thing i HATE is that they use the same knife they are cutting the greens/veggies with to cut the fruits or they are using the same cutting board. i shouldn’t be tasting ginger or garlic in a strawberry, banana blueberry smoothie. other than that, they are good.“
“My favorite place to go. I go to a few times a week. On "the circle" Bartel Pritchard Square. I like the paninis salads soups and health drinks. The atmosphere is nice the workers very friendly. Over greens is also very sanitary. Healthy eats.“
“Amazing dinner menu with so much flavor and vegetarian/vegan options! My husband and I are so glad we stumbled upon Pitanga while looking for a place to have dinner in Bushwick. I guess not too many people know that they now offer dinner because we were two of only a handful of people there at 9pm. Highly recommend getting the rice and bean soul dish. The service was also excellent! Can’t wait to go back.“
“I didn’t even realize it but this is the same brand that you see in stores! This place is small but cozy. A little pricy (but everything is expensive nowadays so what do you expect). Very clean and my smoothie was done quick so overall I recommend it.“
“I love Tikal Café I always go for coffee and brunch, and now they are opening dinner with different options. I had the vegetarian pork sausage Ragu it was the best pasta that I had in the area for a really good price, I'm not vegetarian, but I'm impressed with the veggie ragu, I'm coming back for sure ? ? ?.“
“Delicious! I got a bowl with Ahi Tuna that was so large I had lunch and dinner. The man working was so kind and helped described some of their products to me and what would taste best together. I highly suggest eating here or grabbing take out if you're craving a fresh Poke bowl.“
“This is my guilty pleasure. Honestly I knocked one star off because it really is expensive but everything is at this point. It is hard for me to justify a $20 Acai bowl but they are great and I am full after. The only other feedback would be the dishes are very deep and they pile all the toppings on top. You have to pretty much each the top off to prevent it from spilling but then you do not have anything left to go with the smoothie stuff on the bottom. Maybe a layer of items on the bottom? Anyway delicious and my daughter and I go there about once a week after swim which is getting costly but makes us happy.“
“Stumbled in while on a long walk and found myself in need of some quick sustenance. I ordered the red rocker smoothie and loved it. Decided to have it in the shop and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. 100% will return to sample more of the menu.“
“What can I say. I love this place. Yummy, healthy, kosher, and beautiful wrapped up in one. The only problem is I don't have enough money to order from them every day.Dietary restrictions: They have add ones and add offs. There is no dairy or meat/chicken/fish at this restaurant.“
“A hip coffee shop in the heart of Williamsburg. The coffee is great. Also their food is great, I highly recommend you to get the Brekkie bagel. It’s probably one of the best bagels you will have in your life.My only complaint is that their seats are not very comfortable.“
“Oh oh....bye everyone and hello Spread Love ❤️ ...this is the cauliflower sandwich with sweet potato fries...Kentucky fried mushrooms...so damn good so good I look forward to trying the entire vegan menu...the service was almost a treat...good Jon guys...Vegetarian options: Vegan options...“
“I had the Pacific Beach acai bowl which was a very generous portion and pretty tasty. The service was quick and accurate and the ambiance inside the store was very nice. It tasted good overall but fruits were slightly unflavored and I believe that is due to it being the winter season and some of the fruits are out of season but still highly recommend and will come back and try out many of their other great selections.“
“I always get the cacao craving which has protein ( fills my hunger for hours) the coffee and banana balance in this drink is delicious, not so overpowering. Id also get the triple berry (very smooth and thick) very refreshing smoothie for a hot dayAmazing tasting drinks and quick serviceMy mom gets the pro-paya to which she says it’s delicious and very creamy“
“Nestled in the BADASS Academy on Bay Ridge Ave, I order online beforehand, then tell the Baya-rista that I ordered when I walk-in. They usually check the pad for the order then make it. Better to do it this way - during BADASS class, the music is loud!! Great people watching, too - work out are intense“
“This place is soooo delicious. The prices are fair and the workers are always super friendly. They even agreed to give me my smoothie in a bottle if I doubled my order - creative! I always treat myself to this place when I'm in the area.“
“I absolutely love this spot! I love that they have no sugar added protein and low sugar options, customizable smoothies. The only ONLY thing is that they always have this annoying smoke detector beeping sound…been there at least five times and it’s never been fixed lol. Fix your smoke detector!!Dietary restrictions: Diabetic friendly options“
“So I took a trip to my old stomping grounds for some fun and during that excitement I met a lady named Tiffany. Through our talk she let i know that she owned a healthy juice bar....ok cool. As I love to support local businesses and especially a Black owned and Woman owned business I knew I was going there before I left Brooklyn. I'm glad we did too because this spot is quaint and very inviting. Expect to be greeted by a smile and recommendations. I tried the Strawberry Banana Smoothie (recommended by the Owner) and it was so good. Not too sweet just the way I like it. I can't remember exactly now what my Sisters had but they was slurping them thangs down as we walked back to our car!!! So when in Brooklyn head on over to meet Tiffany and her crew you won't be disappointed. Oh and cop a seat outside the bar and people watch while sipping.“
“Absolutely amazing!! Definitely exactly what Avalon park needed! We live by UCF and absolutely take the short drive to eat here! Very flavorful and healthy! Buffalo chicken & Caesar wraps are absolutely on point! Customer service is amazing & fast and efficient.“
“Smaller Baya Bar compared to others, so not much seating. Still, they have a large selection of bottled juices and make bowls and smooties. I don't believe they carry avo toast here. Street parking outside and near other stores.Vegetarian options: Well, there's no meat options. Just juices, smoothies and acai bowls.“
“Service was great. The young gentleman was kind and even gave us samples while we wait. The sprinuilla bowl was good and I even added Goji berries. However this place is more on the pricey end. For close to $17 everything should be filled to the top vs almost nearly 3/4th full.“
“It's very aesthetically pleasing. Great unique flavors like Dragon Fruit and watermelon. Very tasty. And they're very accommodating if you want to make your own smoothie. It's not cheap and I love an add on like chai or hemp seeds which they don't have.“
“Best affordable place to get a healthy green juice in a 5 block radius. Staff are always friendly and super efficient. I come in once a week and grab a large green juice to keep in the fridge. It's like 2.5x the size of more expensive green juice shops around the neighborhood, and the produce looks fresh and clean. I see a lot of complaints about the hot food, which I honestly have never tried and likely wouldn't given all the other options in Clinton hill. If you're looking for an affordable juice shop though, I highly recommend stopping in.“
“The food here was AMAZING! And the atmosphere is great. Overall a wonderful place for a bite to eat! We had the Hawaiian torta and the birria burrito and both were absolutely amazing and super filling!!! Plus they had a bunch of Mexican snacks/drinks and it looks like they also have Mexican ice cream. I’m definitely coming back !“
