“It was a hot summer day and I was lost in the mean streets of New York. Somehow I managed to find my way way through Queens to 75th Street. I was dying of thirst from the heat and I saw the fruits. I was hoping to buy a thirst quenching fruit but ended up finding out they sell smoothies and drinks. The beautiful barista gave me the best possible options for a smoothie and I happily bought it. It was amazing and it is now my usual smoothie spot!!!“

“The 5 stars are for the smoothies and juices. They are genuinely great and I highly recommend them!

However, despite living in the area, it’s hard for me to go here for a drink regularly even though I want to. The main reason is the amount of plastic. Maybe I’m an outlier here but I just can’t get comfortable with the amount of plastic that gets used with every single drink.

All I want is a drink in a glass. Instead, it’s in a plastic cup, with a plastic straw that is individually wrapped in plastic. I’ve tried asking for drinks “for here” but they don’t really have that as far as I can tell. Instead, I get a drink in a plastic cup, sealed with plastic, in a plastic bag.

It’s very hard because I love getting a drink here but always come away feeling bad about the amount of plastic waste I’ve just caused to go out into the environment for a single smoothie. I’ll be their biggest champion if they just introduce a “for here” option that is a simple glass. Or, let me bring my own glass if it’s easier!“

I usually grab their shots at Bourke Street Bakery, so it felt nice to finally see where they really come from.

Picked up my go-to’s: Ginger Lime (SO strong I split it into 2 servings 💀🔥) and Carrot Turmeric. Next time I’m trying the passion fruit shot, that little jar looks like 3–4 spoonfuls of straight goodness.

Plus I met Monkey, the cutest dancing dog who literally moonwalked and made my whole visit. 🐶
