“Lebanese food served in small plates. Really enjoyed the options they had. The labne plate and pita bread is so fresh and delicious. The batata was crispy and excellent. The rice dish flavor was good it’s just we had some very hard pieces of rice mixed in- not sure if it was because of being reheated too much or being a little stale.“

“I’ve been going to the Tripoli since I was a child (1975, so I was 2 years old). At first, the draw was their authentic pastries (their Birds Nests are TOP NOTCH!!!). To this day, I love their traditional Lebanese cuisine (their humus, babaghanouj and tabouli are AMAZING as is their shish-kabob and chicken shishtaouk). If ever you find yourself on the border between Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill Brooklyn (NYC), I can’t recommend them enough!!!“

“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. “Finally checked out Fatima's Grill and wow, the fusion concept is super creative! Everything is halal and the portions are massive — we got the shawarma crunch wrap (basically a loaded Crunchwrap Supreme with tender chicken shawarma, fries, and sauces) and a Hot Cheetos asada burrito. The crunch wrap was fun and crunchy, with good spice, and the burrito had that bold, cheesy kick from the Cheetos dust — definitely unique and Instagram-worthy. Also tried the chicken over rice platter; the rice was flavorful and the chicken juicy, though I wish the overall seasoning was a bit stronger/more consistent across the dishes.“

“This is a great restaurant. It's casual but the food is very high quality and delicious! My son had the Lava Chicken Shawarma Arabic and I had the Vegan Arabic Sandwich. We got the combo for each (with fries and a drink) and the total price was $40. The vegan sandwich was amazing - lots of vegetables and falafel - all seasoned wonderfully. I think it is the best vegan sandwich I ever had. The chicken shawarma was great too - and plated up beautifully. The restaurant's atmosphere is serene and relaxing. A++.“

“Had an excellent experience at Proof & Prov in Englewood. If you’re a pizza person, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Their Detroit-style pizza is seriously impressive—the crust has that perfect combination of a crispy, cheesy edge with a light and airy interior. It’s not the heavy, overly greasy square pizza you might expect.

I also love that they put a creative spin on their menu while still keeping the classics strong. From the traditional pepperoni to more adventurous combinations, there’s a lot here for both the classic pizza lover and someone who wants to try something different. The quality of the ingredients really comes through.

The retro-inspired space is clean, cool, and has a great neighborhood feel. You can tell this isn’t just another pizza shop—they’ve put real thought into the concept and the details.

The owner was also incredibly welcoming, and it’s clear they take a lot of pride in what they’re creating. That kind of passion makes a difference.

Proof & Prov is definitely one of the more interesting pizza spots in Englewood, especially if you want to try Detroit-style pizza done right. Great crust, creative pies, quality ingredients, and a really cool atmosphere“

The food is delicious, the burgers flavorful, the lamb soft with a hint of common Halal food cart notes but with a twist that raises it to another level of culinary experience.

Remember when it used to be a fried chicken spot? The new place has not been lost in terms of service and comfort food. Trust me. There's still a lot of fried tasty foods for those nights when you want to stay in with a movie and appetizers.

They have platters for dinner nights or lunch dates.

The hummus and lentil soup are some of my favorite lighter things to order.

I buy olive oil from them for my house.

I'm making this review because a lot of people ask me about this place. They're mainly skeptical to go in because it's still a friend chicken spot in their hearts but they're always curious to know how good the food from their new menu.

Hands down, no bs, it's amazing.

“I grabbed the Falafel Bowl from Naya - 39th & Broadway through MealPal and wow, it’s a flavor bomb! The creamy tahini and zesty spicy smoky red sauce kicked the fresh cabbage slaw and pickled cucumber up a notch. So savory and spiced perfectly—highly recommend!“
