“We came here for a work dinner while shooting a film nearby and it was magnificent. All of us are pretty well-versed foodies and within 10 minutes we were oohing and aahing over the cacio e pepe that they make using farfale. Then the owner showed up with a literal mixing bowl of a fresh garlic and tomato pasta just to treat his patrons, we didn’t expect it and the guilty smile with which he spooned it onto each of our plates “just to try” was half the atmosphere of the restaurant bundled up in an act of hospitality. No kidding, it was 2x better than pasta I’ve had in much finer establishments, or even in the big tourist haunts in New York’s little Italy. Service with Marissa was incredible, and everyone was beyond friendly. What a delight!“

Her food came out a bit late and though we were enjoying our time, they went out of their way to make it better - they bought a round of drinks, took her dinner off the tab and gave her a "Borgata" snow cap. “I've eaten here a few times as of writing this review. Overall, my experiences have been pretty good. Of all the times I've been here, there was only one negative dish. It was something the person had gotten many times before and they were surprised so it really felt like a one time thing. The management was really nice about the whole situation as well so it never soured the dinner experience. Every other time, our food was exquisite. The drinks are also pretty good. I've tried a different one every time and had been happy with all but one (which was a special and just not my cup of tea, there was nothing bad about it on the restaurant's side). The drinks are often pretty strong which is a plus in my opinion. The staff is great and the atmosphere is wonderful, especially if you can sit by the window on a nice day to see the restaurant's namesake, the creekside. Overall great and I will be visiting more in the future.“
“The place was very cool and the drinks were excellent. But the bartender watched us walk in and left. He went into the small kitchen and started doing dishes for 5 or 10 minutes before coming back to the bar to serve us a drink. Very odd to just leave people allowed in the bar like that. But he was friendly and made a great drink. Also we were the only ones there so bartender leaving didn't make any sense.“
“As always, a wonderful experience. Manon was a top-rate server. Hubs had the lobster/shrimp soup and raved about it. He also loved his pork chops; thick and perfectly cooked. The tomato bisque soup comes with grilled cheese croutons; very imaginative and delicious! We saw lots of people leaving with pizzas; will have to try one the next time we're here. Love the Cupcake of the Day.We have come here during standard dinner hours and have not been able to find a parking spot. That's the price we pay for enjoying a very popular restaurant. “I was greeted and welcomed upon entering this awesome restaurant presumably the owner. I was presented my table in the lounge area and I thought I found a gem … a good eatery. I must say that the restaurant was beautifully decor’d with a pleasant atmosphere, soft music, food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Well, it didn’t start off that way. It took about 8-10 minutes to even be noticed and get a glass of water. It happens, I guess. Upon noticing their mistake, I was catered to throughout my visit to ensure I was completely satisfied … and I was! The owner stopped by several times and even offered a glass of good French wine as an apology but I hospitable declined … I was still the clock per se. The waitress was very apologetic, nice, and friendly. If you’re in for a great meal and great people to serve you … please stop by! I highly recommend this establishment for a good meal and enjoyable time.“

“I'm from down South and I came up on vacation. It's a hood spot with some older people, but it's chill. I didn't get food but when I walked in my lights were still on, the security told me when they didn't go off after a few minutes. The bartender made my drink quickly and the owner checked the quality and even added another shot on the house. I was laughing and didn't feel from out of town.“

Original restaurant was in Northfield, then they opened one in Hudson, and now in Brecksville; owners Joe and Debbie are at the Brecksville location and will always greet you with a friendly smile, and 'sit anywhere you'd like'. Simple menu, doesn't really change, so you know what you're getting... pizza, Italian sausage sandwich, Italian sub sandwich, garlic bread with or without cheese, salad with or without cheese, double salad with or without cheese, various drink choices. “What a great family owned Mexican Restaurant! The prices are very affordable! They have a huge menu! I recommend the dessert chimichonga! It's fried with cheesecake in the center! “Small restaurant with a limited, but tasty and reasonably priced menu with a spattering of unique offerings. Perfect for a quick bite & some wine. I hear their ribs are great, but we weren't hungry enough for that. AJ was very helpful recommending something light & quick (they were closing in 40 minutes) for dinner. He suggested an Italian wine which my husband said was fantastic. Food was made to order with attentive service. They have a large wine menu and an amazing selection of wines by the bottle in the adjoining room. We will come back on a Saturday for their rib special.“

The bartender knows my drink whenever I come in and she's so sweet and bubbly! “Happy to give an honest review of a great, local establishment.Went to get some draft beers at the Buffalo Wild Wings next store to Gilbert's and was met with horrid customer service.Myself and 3 others happily walked in to Gilbert's (100 feet from Buffalo Wild Wings) to get some Xmas ale! This was not the kind of bar where people turn their heads and glare at you... it felt warm and welcoming!The bar was full, but the bartender immediately approached us and took our order. She was so kind and sweet.We got our 4 Xmas ales and sat over by the wall -- which was covered with adorable pictures of dogs! We put some music on the touch tunes with no pushback, and shortly after a man approached us. We thought we were going to get scolded for our music selection, but instead it was the Bar owner introducing himself and genuinely thanking us for coming to his bar.He explained that Gilbert was his dog and this bar was dedicated to Gilbert -- hence the wall of dogs!!We really thought this was a fantastic idea (the 4 of us being dog moms) and we're so touched by the owners gesture to introduce himself and explain the bar history.We are SO thankful for this local bar and will never go to b-dubs in lyndhurst again. Prices were great, staff was very friendly, and the bar & bathrooms were very clean!Only call out here -- no draft beer, but they had an excellent selection to choose from! Can't wait to come back! “Cozy, hidden gem of a restaurant. The lighting sets the mood upon entrance. Our server was attentive and very friendly. Full restaurant, but not too loud. I've tried almost everything on the menu at least once, and never had a bad experience. Tonight, french onion soup and a mushroom soup special. Both amazing. I’m from Pennsylvania and didn’t even miss the French fries because the abundance of red onions, blue cheese and tomatoes mixed with the vinaigrette dressing made it even more enjoyable than a one of my favorite dinners; steak and asparagus. What a valuable addition to the Cedar Lee area. On Saturdays they have a DJ. I was there when DJ Elory was DJing. Lots of people dance on the dance floor. Thank you Booker's.“

“My wife and I drove by on our way to REI. The place looked cool so we decided to stop on the way home for lunch. We got there right after they opened and we were greeted right away. The place was super clean and well put together. We sat at the bar for convenience. The owners “2 brothers” were there and helped us as soon as we sat. The lunch menu was good and had the right amount of choices. We also looked at the dinner menu and it looked amazing! Definitely heavy on fresh fish dishes. We ended up ordering the Breakfast Burger and the brussels sprouts. The burger was made fresh with farm raised beef. 1/2 lbs patty not a tiny burger. The bun was soft and flaky. It can with hash brown potatoes which were fried perfectly. The brussels sprouts were also delicious. It was a good serving too considering it was just an appetizer. My wife had a handmade margarita which she said it was great and I had two craft beers. I’d say it was a great experience and we will make the trip back for dinner soon.“
