“As always, you get what you pay for! Yes, it is more expensive than some of the BBQ places in the "City" but it is worth every penny. This is closer to what I grew up with in South Carolina and Texas than anywhere else around here. And they have, by far, the best fish sandwich anywhere!!!Parking: Plenty of parking.“
“I work at the Laundry Spot in Middletown, Oh and today we had food delivered from Mission BBQ. It was wonderful! The pulled pork and chicken were so tender and lean. We also had cornbread, mac-n-cheese along with green beans. All the food had a fantastic smokey taste which is what all BBQ food should taste like. I would highly recommend Mission BBQ to anyone liking good home cooked food!“
“I ordered the beef rendang on DoorDash, as I'm Indonesian and from Maryland but just moved to Cincy from Myrtle Beach (absolutely no diversity there). It was sweet, spicy, and tender; almost exactly like how my mom would make it. Thank you for a wonderful and refreshing meal to remind me of home, especially as Ramadan is approaching. Absolutely delicious!I do wish the portion size was bigger. Maybe it's because when my mom would cook it, I could keep coming back for more, but it did seem like a bit of a smaller portion for $14.“
“This is a great place for group dinner- came in with a group of 8 colleagues and we had a great meal. Decided to do the hot pot and BBQ (their rules won't let you mix for the table, so if you all don't want to do BBQ OR hot pot, you have to pay for both for everyone in the party). They have a buffet area with a few appetizers, desserts and a sauce station. Appetizers were ok, and by the end of the meal none of us had room for dessert- so I can't comment on that. Our server was great, explained the process, was very attentive during the meal bringing additional food as needed and advising on how much food was needed. They have plenty of protein options (we had a pescatarian in our group) and veggies. Only thing to note, after a while of the BBQs running, it did get a bit smoky around the table. To the point some of our eyes started watering. But at that point we just asked for the grills to be turned off since we were done using them.“

“Came with a group for lunch. Everything was good. The only complaint from the group was the Swamp Mud drink, apparently it tasted like a black licorice liquor was mixed in for the coloring effect. But the other drinks were on point. The pasta dish was excellent. We will definitely be back.“

“Very informal restaurant -order at the counter and take food to table. Food was simple, but excellent. Not a lot of food options, but what we did get was VERY good. Ribs and brisket were both excellent. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Many people getting take-out. In warmer weather we would have considered taking the food to a larger outside area.“
“Visited for early dinner or late lunch maybe.Tried ribs, and they have the option of two sides and you can decide how many ribs you have, options start at two and go up by 2 until 12 I think.Sides options include beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread.Tried mashed potatoes and mac & cheese which I preferred over the potatoes. They had a good taste.Overall food taste very good. Ribs were soft and tasted good.Would of course recommend.“

“I have been staying at The Phelps for business. I frequently get in late, and quite frankly do not feel like going out. The Phelps Bar is the perfect solution. I have been staying at The Phelps Hotel on and off for roughly a month so far. I have had most of their menu items and have yet to have one that has not been excellent. They recently changed their food and drink menu, so there are many new items to try. They have an outstanding "Signature Drink" Menu. My favorite is the Fig & Rosemary Old Fashioned that is hands down the very best Old Fashioned I have had anywhere, and that includes The Greenbrier Resort. The staff are all amazing and help to make the experience even better. My hat is off to Mark (I think he is the manager), Kat and Tynisa who run the bar, and David the cook. If you find yourself in the Downtown Cincinnati area close to the stadiums, then you really should try The Phelps Bar. You will not be disappointed.“

“A great classic Cincinnati pub up in Mt. Adams and on the northend of the main strip. A historical building that has been treasured for years creates an amazing setting for great grub and good times. The menu is eclectic and the drinks are good. Have gone many times when in town for business or visiting my daughter at UC. Easily accessed from downtown or campus. Parking is on the street & is always interesting. Folks are always friendly & helpful. A good cultural destination if you're looking for a classic Cincinnati experience. Then go around the corner and enjoy some live music at The Blind Lemon!“

“Nikki was my server and she was friendly. She recommended us the couples flight which we did. It did take about 30 minutes or more until we got our meat to cook when we were on a time crunch. The table next to us was extremely loud so I was unable to have a conversation with my date. Food was a large amount for fair pricing. We will go back but will ask to be in a more secluded table towards the front.“

At the time I wasn't aware that we would have one of the bartenders as our waiter. Soon learned that however. Bartenders are busy, busy with the whole restaurant's bar orders. “The server and food were good, but this place loses a star due to the manager on duty. Seriously corporate needs to review this guys attitude. He was a older larger guy, that was just conceding to just about everyone. I luckily didnt have to deal with him, but just from observation, he talked down to two different parties in the 5 mins I was waiting, questioning if they knew what location they called ahead, telling them they can stay or just leave, etc. I get it was busy and stressful, but if you cant deal with it, then buddy you are in the wrong business.“
