“My wife and I frequent Maplewood on the weekends for brunch. There are many options in downtown/OTR/northern Kentucky for breakfast on the weekends, but Maplewood is our favorite. The menu has a nice variety of American breakfast options, as well as healthier alternatives. We love the Guajillo Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl, but the Maplewood Hash is also delicious if you are in the mood for something a little heavier. The GM, Erik, often recognizes us and welcomes us back. Erik and his staff always do a great job with service, and mitigating the crowded weekend mornings. Bring back the Chicken Tiga!!! Note: It's first come, first serve seating and you are supposed to wait in line and order before being seated. However entitled guests sometimes circumvent the line and save tables for the rest of their party waiting at the back of the line, whom have yet to order. This often throws off the flow of available tables, because the people whom waited in line and just ordered, now do not have a table. It can get busy here on weekends, but if you go, don't be one of these people, please wait in line like everyone else. The line moves quickly and the staff turns over the tables quickly as well. The couple of times this has happened to us, the staff promptly sat us at the bar and gave us a discount on our breakfast.“

“It's lovely, if you get seats near the far window facing the street, there's a small area for children to play. Coffee is delicious and well balanced. The food was fresh and nicely seasoned. I ordered a build your own bagel, with cream cheese avocado and eggs. My daughter ordered from the kids' menu and had pancakes. She said they were delicious.
Note: we got lucky with parking, there's only a few spots by the door. If it's full it can be a bit tight to get out of, especially during heavy traffic.“

“I don't eat out very often, but have always enjoyed the service and quality food at First Watch. This morning I asked the hostess to check the balance on my gift card. Due to a systems problem, she couldn't do this, nor could they accept my gift card in payment for my meal. (Not a problem) When my friend and I paid and prepared to leave, the hostess gave me a First Watch gift card "to make up for the inconvenience". These folks know how to do Customer Service. Also - hope you are able to remove the nonsense posts that appear among your reviews.“

“When you walk in, all of the staff say “Good morning!” with smiles on their faces. It is impossible to leave this place in a bad mood. First, the food is always good and fresh, exactly how you ordered it. I have been several times with my son; The general manager and all staff go out of their way to make him feel special. It’s his favorite place to go and has quickly become mine, too! The service is always fantastic. The staff genuinely care and establish meaningful connections with their patrons. “This was an Easter brunch. A good variety of entrees on the menu. Food presentation was very good. The drinks selection with special mixed drinks. The beer selection was adequate and excellent quality of the beers that were on tap. I would have preferred more Chimay's on tap but would still rate the selection excellent. Other locations for Taste of Belgium do have a wider variety. It is a fun airy and sunny atmosphere.“
