“Very good dinner meal. Terrific meat loaf, gravy, mashed potatoes and buttered spinach. Always enjoy Sonny Boy when back on the Valley. If there are new owners, they were friendly at the check out. Great service and food for a decent price. One of the few places Biden has not ruined.“

“We were dining on the first of November with our 9 year old mom. The wait was very long in our opinion but the staff was very polite and the food was good as always. But if we have one complaint that would be that the restaurant take care of the patrons inside the restaurant first and take out next. But overall a good experience.“

“When traveling I like to try local places when able. I’ve found myself in Wheeling to photograph the Cathedral. Anyway, I stopped in for dinner, was seated quickly and water received immediately. I kept it simple and just had the burger with fries. It was cooked perfectly and arrived pretty quickly. (This place is not a burger joint, the have options, such as lamb for example.) Chelsey was my server, she did great as well. Would definitely return if I found myself in Wheeling again!“

Salads were not presented as advertised, with missing ingredients , and quality of ingredients were lacking. Our server did ask if we needed more salad dressing for both salads. “This week I took my high school aged class to Oglebay Resort for a field trip. We took this same trip last year and had lunch at generations outside on the deck. This year when we returned all they asked for was dinner at generations. A quick search showed me that it was trivia night. There was NO WAY I was taking 20 teenage girls there during trivia!! 🤣🤣🤣 They were more than happy when I said we could order take out! I felt awful calling to order food for 22 people during trivia. I wish I could remember who I spoke with, she was sweet, happy, and pleasant! She didn’t seem phased or bothered by my huge order! When we completed to order she read everything back to me and it was perfect! She then replied with “give us 25 minutes and we will have everything ready” I couldn’t believe it!! 25 minutes for alllll that food!! I went to pick up our order and sure enough it was ready!! She helped me carry all the bags to my car, still smiling and sweet as ever! I thanked her and was on my way back to the resort! The kids all got their dinner from Generations and everything was perfect! Not one order had a mistake! Our food was amazing and perfect!! Thank you!! You all are amazing!! My class will hopefully see you again next year! I will see you again soon!! You are definitely one of our all time favorites!“

The menu had a plethora of choices from pizza, pub grub, seafood, many salad choices (I recommend the basil vinaigrette) and great steaks! Definitely my new go to spot when visiting Wheeling.“

“First time I went to pickles, I went specifically to get their fried pickles. This was about a year and a half ago and the coating was very thick and I was highly disappointed. I thought how can you have a bar with that name and not have outstanding pickles??? My girlfriend talked me into going again the other day and I thought okay. I'll give them another chance. Oh my gosh! Whoever made them did a perfect job. The coatiing was thin. The pickles were large Spears. It was awesome! Awesome! awesome! Did I mention it was awesome? Lol Can't wait to go back!“

“I woke up this morning knowing I wanted to write a review from our visit at Applebees last night. We had the most outstanding waitress and I feel like she needs shown some love on here! Her name is Monica. We called ahead because we were coming in with a party of 14. That’s overwhelming even for the most seasoned waitress. She handled us with such ease and grace. She was spot on with everything she did. From taking our orders straight up to having Togo boxes ready to roll with our checks. She had everything so well put together and in order. Our food was great, everyone who had adult beverages, loved them! Especially my husband who got the Shark Bowl! So- coming from one waitress to another- MAJOR KUDOS to Monica and all kitchen staff! We come here every year and we loved this particular Perkins. Cool thing too, as we were waiting for a food, We realized we had been talking to the Store general manager when we saw her picture on the wall. She was very friendly and. Personable. “I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“I love this restaurant and come here often. Stopped in yesterday for my birthday and the waiter brought our drinks and then didn’t come back to our table for 25 mins. Tried to get his attention a couple times. When he finally did I asked for the check to pay for the drinks. As I was leaving (as he had no other tables) he was on his phone . So I guess that’s why we didn’t get waited on. Still a great place to eat with great food“

“We came into Wheeling for the Symphony and this place was in 5 minutes walking distance, and I’m so glad we came! The service was great, and we loved the meatloaf platter- the bacon gravy was to die for! Also get the apple crumble for dessert- so good!
