“Very good dinner meal. Terrific meat loaf, gravy, mashed potatoes and buttered spinach. Always enjoy Sonny Boy when back on the Valley. If there are new owners, they were friendly at the check out. Great service and food for a decent price. One of the few places Biden has not ruined.“

“We were dining on the first of November with our 9 year old mom. The wait was very long in our opinion but the staff was very polite and the food was good as always. But if we have one complaint that would be that the restaurant take care of the patrons inside the restaurant first and take out next. But overall a good experience.“

“When traveling I like to try local places when able. I’ve found myself in Wheeling to photograph the Cathedral. Anyway, I stopped in for dinner, was seated quickly and water received immediately. I kept it simple and just had the burger with fries. It was cooked perfectly and arrived pretty quickly. (This place is not a burger joint, the have options, such as lamb for example.) Chelsey was my server, she did great as well. Would definitely return if I found myself in Wheeling again!“

Salads were not presented as advertised, with missing ingredients , and quality of ingredients were lacking. Our server did ask if we needed more salad dressing for both salads. “I’ve been there a number of times, and it’s always solid. Their wings are cooked so well… juiciest freshest wings I’ve had. Tonight was Steak Night and you can’t beat $11 for a steak, potato, and salad. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food came out surprisingly fast. I don’t go here as often as I should!“

“This week I took my high school aged class to Oglebay Resort for a field trip. We took this same trip last year and had lunch at generations outside on the deck. This year when we returned all they asked for was dinner at generations. A quick search showed me that it was trivia night. There was NO WAY I was taking 20 teenage girls there during trivia!! 🤣🤣🤣 They were more than happy when I said we could order take out! I felt awful calling to order food for 22 people during trivia. I wish I could remember who I spoke with, she was sweet, happy, and pleasant! She didn’t seem phased or bothered by my huge order! When we completed to order she read everything back to me and it was perfect! She then replied with “give us 25 minutes and we will have everything ready” I couldn’t believe it!! 25 minutes for alllll that food!! I went to pick up our order and sure enough it was ready!! She helped me carry all the bags to my car, still smiling and sweet as ever! I thanked her and was on my way back to the resort! The kids all got their dinner from Generations and everything was perfect! Not one order had a mistake! Our food was amazing and perfect!! Thank you!! You all are amazing!! My class will hopefully see you again next year! I will see you again soon!! You are definitely one of our all time favorites!“

“First time I went to pickles, I went specifically to get their fried pickles. This was about a year and a half ago and the coating was very thick and I was highly disappointed. I thought how can you have a bar with that name and not have outstanding pickles??? My girlfriend talked me into going again the other day and I thought okay. I'll give them another chance. Oh my gosh! Whoever made them did a perfect job. The coatiing was thin. The pickles were large Spears. It was awesome! Awesome! awesome! Did I mention it was awesome? Lol Can't wait to go back!“

We assured her it’s ok & she was wonderful. It took a very long time to get our food but when Sara brought it - it was hot & delicious! We had no complaints at all! “I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. “We came into Wheeling for the Symphony and this place was in 5 minutes walking distance, and I’m so glad we came! Many said goodbye as we were leaving and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Longhorn is by far the best chain restaurant around and the food is always so good.
