“UPDATE: After several communications with the restaurant, I wish to update my review.
The kale salad is truly delightful. Although the salad is actually $13 and I wish it was bigger, I can't do without it. Sometimes the mango isn't ripe but the totality of the kale, mango, avocado, strawberries, and mint dressing are the taste buds delight.
After discussing the price with the restaurant representative and purchasing a $10 salad from the salad bar at IGA, I succumb that prices are just plain high on all foods.
I was disappointed the restaurant closed at 2 on Saturday because of the snow. We arrived at 2:20. Doors locked. Didn't get my fix of kale.
Previous review:
The salad is very good, the berry/lemon muffins have an odd taste, and the earl grey tea can't really be messed up.
My complaint is the prices are just too high. The tea alone is $7. The salad $12.
Having good good is the best thing a restaurant can have but if it is ridiculously unaffordable to the average customer, it is difficult to return for a second visit.“

“This is a local restaurant owned by the previous owner of long time Reading, Oh staple called Sorrentos. It is a friendly place , mostly locals and people who work in the area . They have 2 specials a day , opened Monday - Sunday ! They serve goetta and they have monthly specials including occasional liver and onions :). I love the veggie and split pea soups . I generally get a special upgrading to a bowl vs cup of soup . The cost is pretty low by today’s standards, , approximately 10-17$ including tip ,Small surcharge fur credit card ( mine about . 34 cents . May get busy on the weekends . I really like this place! \nDiane , Wyoming, Ohio“

“I don't eat out very often, but have always enjoyed the service and quality food at First Watch. This morning I asked the hostess to check the balance on my gift card. Due to a systems problem, she couldn't do this, nor could they accept my gift card in payment for my meal. (Not a problem) When my friend and I paid and prepared to leave, the hostess gave me a First Watch gift card "to make up for the inconvenience". These folks know how to do Customer Service. Also - hope you are able to remove the nonsense posts that appear among your reviews.“

“I’m not from the area and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. That’s when I met the most amazing server, Allison! She was so kind and helpful, making me feel welcome right away. She even gave me the option to sit up front with her so she could keep me company — such a thoughtful gesture that truly made my visit special. Thank you, Allison, for going above and beyond!“

“My friend and I always enjoy eating at Anderson First Watch but this morning it was especially nice because of our waiter Jordan. He was friendly and attentive. When he delivered my friend's food, he told me he sent mine back because it didn't look up to standards. He then brought me the potatoes so I'd have something to eat while they redid my omelet. I'm grateful for people like Jordan and his supervisor who came out to talk with us. They remind me like if good.“

“Today, 11.02.2021, a friend and l were in search of good breakfast food. Before dropping her off, we stopped at the Waffle House on Delhi Pike. The employees at this establishment were some of the warmest and friendliest group of people l have met since COVID. Fast service, our waiter Dante explained how we were able to mix and match the breakfast we had chosen. With the turn of our head, our meals were before us. The grits were freshly made, the toast was to a perfection with butter melted, everything about the meals were on point. The staff keep the restaurant clean. On their idle time they were cleaning the grill and washing down the floor, no one was standing around on their phones. I give the Waffle House ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“

“Located in Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, First Watch Café feels like a dive into genuine American culture—welcoming you with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm smiles of staff who truly care. The atmosphere is distinctly American: spacious, bright, and tastefully simple, with every detail contributing to a relaxed and friendly vibe.\n\nThe menu is a true celebration of flavor: from classic scrambled eggs to multigrain pancakes, from rich and creative omelets to avocado toast with fresh fruit. Every dish is well-prepared, using quality ingredients and presented in a way that invites you to dig in. The variety is impressive—there’s something for every taste, whether you’re craving something traditional or looking for a healthier option.\n\nThe staff is one of the café’s greatest strengths. Always smiling, welcoming, and ready to accommodate any request, they make every guest feel at home. Whether it’s a special addition to your plate, a dietary adjustment, or simply a recommendation from the menu, their attentiveness is outstanding.\n\nIn short, First Watch Café is much more than a place for breakfast or brunch—it’s a flavorful and friendly experience that leaves a lasting impression.“

“The food, atmosphere, service, and ambience at Mt Lookout were top notch! The HOE‘s team members, Julie, Mitch, Bri, and Murph, were extremely hospitable and friendly. We were seated and served in less than 30 minutes. I recommend the Fried green tomato BELT sandwich with sweet tots (with the maple aoli), or the Chorizo Burger. The grill chefs cooked them to perfection. Then pair these tasty sandwiches with a Murphy special, a pomegranate - mango martini or a cold beer! It’s a match made in heaven. We‘re definitely going back soon.“

“The food was good as always. My complaint is that it was a very cold and windy day. When I checked in, I asked for a table that would be warm. When seated, my group was placed by the large front windows and near the door. That meant that every time the front door opened, a cold breeze blew to our table. You also lose a lot of radiant heat by large windows. It was not busy that day and we could have easily been sat at a table in the back of the restaurant. I was with a group and did not want to make a fuss, but my request was totally ignored.“

“Only issue I have with Waffle House is it's a little too expensive. The food is good but we got biscuits and gravy, steak n hash browns, & a waffle with cho chips. Oh of course 2 pops & a coffee and it was $57 to feed 3 ppl. I mean that's a bit ridiculous & 1 of the 3 ppl is only 7 yrs old. Can't really blame the restaurant tho, the cost of everything is gone up & I'm sure they're feeling the burn too & passing it down to customers.“
