All in we ended up with a decent experience. Buy not what we would consider great. It is a comfortable place and food was fine. Service felt disjointed, and our server tended to forget simple things like silverware and non alcoholic beverages.
Edit … dined there again about a month or so ago, and this place has definitely changed. I can see why they’re not crowded anymore, as everything is à la cart and you’re paying Jeff Ruby prices for mediocre quality steaks. Service was just OK this time, but the atmosphere is still pretty good. But for the money, I would rather go to Tony’s up the street, or to a Jeff Ruby steakhouse. I have dined here several times, and it actually gets better. The menu selections are just the right size, with a good selection of seafood and steaks. The calamari appetizer was the best I've had, the oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the ahi tuna steak was on point. Our server was very helpful, with attentive but subtle service. Portions were generous. We were never rushed and we all had a very enjoyable evening.
