“I cannot recommend Song Lan more! I cannot believe this evening was my first time stopping in. I’ve been meaning to check it out for quite some time. However, I organized a meetup for dinner at North Market before a comedy show in Bridge Park and North Market was unexpectedly closed for a private event. A friend and I went separate ways to find a place that could get 10 of us in last minute. The staff was so kind and sat us in a beautiful back room. Our waitress was so kind, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was out of this world amazing! Cannot wait to go back!“

The beef tongue is very tender. Fried tofu is crispy and delicious. Cold noodle is authentic. Sushi is very fresh by direct shipping from Japan. The uni roll is heaven. Ice cream are homemade and yummy. All foods are cooked with great care.

“Always extremely delicious food! The people are amazing! They are always very nice and if you ask politely you can get some extra sauce on your meal! Every time my wife and I come to the mall, we eat here. This place definitely beats out the other places around the food court.“

“First time at a House of Japan. It was Expensive but good quality and portion. The show was nice and the chef engaged with the patrons. I love when bean sprouts are in season they are my favorite hibachi vegetable. The protein is cooked like requested and is seasoned well. The yum yum has almost no flavor so I'll pass on that next time. But If you want a happy birthday or anything for the bday patron, it's all extra $$ even if you just want a song. The children were entertained for being so young but overall it was a good experience. Oh the bathrooms are cleanly and nice too.“

“Came in today for a late lunch before driving back home to the Youngstown area. I eat here maybe 5-8 times a year depending on my travel schedule and Kyoto has never let me down...today was simply another great meal. Splurged with the Fillet and Scallop Combo with the egg yolk sauce for the scallops and it was all cooked perfectly.“

We tried a large selection: edamame, ebi shumai, salmon onigiri, fried squid, ebi tempura, miso ramen, chicken katsu bento box, tonkotsu ramen, teriyaki don, red bean ice cream and sasadango. Everything was delicious. Our youngest liked it so much, we’re coming back for their birthday. Our server Natalie was wonderful also.“

“Stopped in tonight for some takeout. Cold afternoon so some noodles sounded like a great idea. My wife and I both opted for the udon noodle soup to go. Easy to order kiosk or person to person ordering at the counter. Plenty of table space inside. Very clean restaurant. After a short wait, our meal was packaged and ready to go. When we got home we warmed the broth and the noodles and cold items were separately packaged which was very nice and convenient. The broth was very hearty, well seasoned and not overly salty. Very nice. My only complaint was I wish there was more broth for the amount of noodles. The order included green onions, seaweed, spinach and fish cakes. The meal really hit the spot. They also have plenty of add ons if you so desire. Definitely recommend! Good value!“

“Great food & service. Wife & I eat here at least once per week. With family we usually eat at hibachi or tepal tables. If just us 2 we eat sushi or hibachi meals in the regular part of the restaurant. Great people work here. Have dined here for years.“

“Went for lunch had the steak and shrimp it was very tasty. I could take or leave the yum yum. The ginger sauce was delicious. But the food was so good it didn't need any sauce. The portions are huge. Also had the crab rangoons they were delicious too.“

“I ordered Ninja House Hibachi Express online and headed over to pick it up, blissfully unaware that the entire area had just lost power. When I walked in, the place was completely dark, the staff couldn’t see their online orders, and my food was—understandably—a mystery.

And yet… these absolute legends didn’t skip a beat. Sitting there in winter coats, in near pitch-black conditions, they still cooked my order anyway. No complaints, no hesitation—just pure, next-level customer service. If that’s not “customer first,” I don’t know what is.

And I haven’t even mentioned the food yet—which was fantastic, by the way. I was genuinely blown away by how kind, gracious, and determined the staff was. Power outage or not, they absolutely delivered. Outstanding experience all around.

He was pretty busy this evening but still made the time to say Happy birthday to my kiddo and the food was still top notch. As long as Mr. Kim is there, this will remain my favorite sushi spot. 🍣“

“Soooo good! Came here before walking to Kemba for a concert! I like how Kooma is tucked away to the side. Quiet vibe, kind staff, delicious food. My friend and I were sat promptly and each ordered three rolls. All absolutely incredible! I will be back to try some of their hot items. 🤩“

“Went here for a company lunch outing and overall had a great experience. The food and service were both solid—our party of 8 was well taken care of, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our chef was friendly and entertaining, doing all the classic hibachi tricks and gags. While not quite as impressive as some chefs I've seen at other Japanese steakhouses, he still made it fun. The only downside was that they were actively training staff at the table directly behind us during our lunch, which felt a bit out of place and slightly distracting. Otherwise, a good spot for group dining.“

“This is my go-to take out sushi spot for downtown! Everything is always tasty, comes out timely, and the staff is always friendly. I eat here at least once a month.

The only complaint I have is that the sushi portions can be unpredictable. The last few times I have went there, I have not had much fish in my sushi orders.

I’ve been a vegan for 14 years & Coco’s has my fave tofu texture ever for the “tofu” category dishes (tender in the middle, but chewy with crisp parts on the outside.) Everyone has a favorite style, but this is so yummy & perfect for saucy dishes & for feeling nice + full :) I love how the veggies are prepared in dishes I’ve had, too (i.e. really fresh steamed broccoli alongside saucy sesame tofu.). Reminds me of how my dad used to make it in his bamboo steamer :)

“Ordered some lunch. I got the Curry Rice with Chicken, Sweet n Sour Chick w Rice, Crab Rangoons and the Edamame.
Curry Rice was meh, not a whole lot of flavor. Would be nice to get extra curry sauce on side (may ask for that next time). Sweet n Sour breading was good, rice was plain. Crab Rangoon was decent, I liked the dough better than the inside. And the edamame needed some salt unless you like it plain. I’ll order something else next time but for first time eating there it was okay.“
