“We stopped in to the KI Cantina while biking around the island. It was about 1 in the afternoon on a Monday. So there was only a few people there, at first. But several people came in after us, getting food and drinks, and enjoying them at picnic tables in the lawn and in the spacious covered patio.

The painkiller was this choice of drink for our group. We also shared a platter of their nachos chips, queso, pico del gallo, and guacamole. All were delicious!

The staff was warm and welcoming. Brandy took the time to discuss their drinks and shared what her favorite was and why.

There are 2 sections to the cantina. One is for food and the other for drinks.

The cantina is part of and next door to the KI Wine Company. They share the parking lot and the grounds.“

My bike got a flat tire and he insisted on hauling my bike and myself to the ferry. This 70 year old greatly appreciated his kindness and you can be sure we will support the Goat every time we visit the island.“

“My daughter and I came in this afternoon after volunteering for the iron man we were starving… we sat at another downtown restaurant for over 20 minutes being completely ignored while everyone around us was being served so we ended up leaving and coming here… we sat outside a women greeted us at the door apologized and said there was only one server outside so it might be a minute.. which was amazing considering the last place we were at. We had a guy server can’t remember his name but he was great.. even though we did wait for a minute it was okay because we were acknowledged and not ignored. Server was super friendly and nice the food was DELICIOUS! 10/10 experience, we will definitely be back!“

“I actually love the place. Unfortunately on our last visit we ordered prime rib which was without a doubt the worst I have ever had. I would think they'd be embarrassed to serve it and to charge $25 was robbery at its finest. Very disappointing from a place I typically enjoy.“

“We were in the area for 4 days. Cleats was the only restaurant we visited twice! Their outdoor patio is nice with a marina view. The appetizers were great. Foods were a little lackluster. The frozen cocktails were delicious. The second visit, our 4 kids were whiny, loud, and impatient. Our waitress (wish I would have got her name) was so kind and patient with us. She got mom and dad’s drinks out right away with waters for all the kids. Brought coloring pages and crayons. Took the babies binky and rinsed it off after it fell to the ground and brought it back wrapped in a napkin. She was very attentive and kind to our family. :)“

“Serve what is ordered in a timely manner. Our party of 4 was here last Wednesday for lunch and only 1 of 4 orders was correct. We waited 10 minutes after being seated and received drink order after another 10 minutes. All 4 of us placed food order, ( nothing not on menu) and order was finally brought to table 30 minutes later. Only 1 order was correct. After this, it only took about 5 minutes for the other 3 to be delivered and the cole slaw was incorrect, ever hear of cole slaw with no cabbage? Manager was asked for and he was very rude, no apology and no compensation offered. Beware! They only want your money and have no idea how to run a business properly.“

“Love enjoying a cocktail with a burger and fries while seating on a pier! Once your order is in, it’s usually quick service. Beautiful fun spot to enjoy lunch. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been delicious. Definitely recommend if you enjoy outdoor seating and don’t mind a little occasional wind. This is also my GF’s favorite spot in town.“

“Tomo Hibachi honestly has me confused by some of these reviews because… did we eat at the same place? Were some of y’all reviewing this immediately after getting off Maverick with heat exhaustion and a souvenir cup full of mystery liquid? 😭

My experience was genuinely great from start to finish. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive without feeling overbearing. Everyone working there seemed locked in even with the chaos that naturally comes with Cedar Point crowds and hungry roller coaster zombies roaming around the hotel.

The food was also really solid. Fresh, flavorful, cooked well, and exactly what I wanted after a full day of getting rag-dolled by steel coasters and Ohio humidity. The hibachi hit the spot in a major way. Sometimes people act like every vacation restaurant needs to deliver a Michelin-starred spiritual awakening. Meanwhile I’m over here just appreciating hot, tasty food and kind service after surviving Millennium Force.

And honestly? Tomo delivered.

The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was great, and the whole experience felt way better than some of the dramatic reviews would have you believe. If you’re staying at Hotel Breakers and want a dependable dinner without leaving the property, this place absolutely does the job.
