“Nice store in a nice neighborhood in a small town. Very kind and courteous employees. They treat you with the respect you deserve for patronizing the business. Fresh food. Clean store, even the bathroom. Operating with cleanliness as the standard. Coronavirus precautions taken very seriously here. Not too many people in line or in the dining area and certainly not even close to being crowded. Very good vibe to this store overall!“

But I did call to let them know, and since we don’t live close enough to go back, they took my info and the manager called me. She was so nice and are sending a coupon to replace it. The food was delicious, hot, and ready a few minutes earlier than promised. Mike even called to let us know it was ready. Whatever issues they may have had in the past have obviously been solved. “Yesterday, I was trying to squeeze in as much yard work as I could despite typical Indiana weather. As a result, I hadn't had lunch even though it was packed in the back of the Honda. When a rainfront swept over the jobsite, I decided it was high time to head to Greens Fork for drinking water, which found me traveling north on Chester Boulevard.
I don't advocate distracted driving. However, given the situation, I felt that I might utilize Taco Bell's drive-through (which at that instant revealed itself to be empty) and purchase two cheesy beans & rice burritos without their signature sauces. I 'killed' the radio as I pulled up, thought for a couple of seconds while glancing at the menu, and realized the defrost fan was almost as loud as the radio had been. In an intentional effort to communicate efficiently, given the circumstances, I dial the fan completely down. Immediately, I was welcomed, followed by a hospitable command, "Order when you're ready." Audibly shaken by this surprise, I tried (and failed) to reciprocate with a precise request for my inexpensive order. When she told me the price, I could hardly believe my ears, so I pulled forward for a double-take. Sure enough, it was only $3.19. Normally, I add guacamole as well as fire sauce. This was not the time for accessories since I was going to be driving.
I was painfully aware that this business wasn't going to profit monetarily from this transaction, and by now, was fumbling through my change purse, looking betwixt nickels for the dime I knew I had. The cashier who already had the cash in one hand turned her head to receive info concerning the next order. I noticed the vehicle in my left mirror but refocused on finding that dime when reason kicked in, and I grabbed three nickels and then placed the change into a patient hand. No sooner had I chucked the purse back into my right pocket, I turned again only to find that same patient arm holding out my belated lunch. She gave her blessing as I accepted the sack; and I wished her a good day/evening as well before rolling forward. I have to add that not only were the burritos filling and delicious; but when I returned home from mom & pop,s I merely needed a pouch of tuna from my packed lunch to satisfy me before retiring for the night.
Now I have to muse that such transactions, while they always pay off in the long term, don't just attract business (like the two cherry blossom trees when in full bloom) but must be a part of Taco Bell's mission statement. Most probably to provide a staple meal for expended customers who might be passing by. While I obviously can't offer even one kudo for this one-sided deal. I humbly offer these well-deserved accolades, and thanks!

Parking: If you are fortunate enough to park in the five or so slots on the east side of the building at the right season, then you even get to walk between those trees. Who am I kidding? I often walk that route regardless of where I park during those visits!“

“It's long Johns, not the best by any measure. But I still love it. A&W also, so amazing fries and dogs. It's not a 5 star restaurant, you know what your getting. But I love long Johns, and there aren't many left. It's like carnival food, if you like it you absolutely love it. 2 pieces of greasy fish, a piece of rubbery chicken and a few hush puppies and a literal handful of tarter sauce packets and I'm in heaven. We have to preserve the few remaining locations we still have. I can eat the pieces of batter skimmed off the friers like it's its own meal. Captain d's just doesn't hit the same spot.“

“Always heard Hardee's and Carls Jr are the same chain. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Most Carls locations are garbage, with mediocre fries and smashed burgers. Was surprised by the quality of the Hardee's burger I got. Very fresh, patty wasn't overdone, everything on the burger was tasty. Fries were pretty good too, almost tasted like McDonalds. Overall, good experience.“

“First time visiting a Lees, chicken was great, coleslaw was good Mac and cheese was ok. Wedges were good, nicely seasoned, a little soft. Service could be friendlier.. we felt like an inconvenience to the staff. Food was ready very quick though!“

So I went in to the restaurant. The employee was friendly, located my prepared order quickly and provided good customer service.“
