“Last time I was there was about 8 years ago, but I asked for a cosmopolitan, and they made me the best ever. I didn't know a person in the bar, but everyone was so friendly I ended up staying for a few hours, and had a great time conversing and listening to some music. I haven't been back since, because I'm not really much of a drinker anymore, but I did love the socialization. The bar is BEAUTIFUL and they have several amazing local micro brews on tap. Ive heard the food is incredible but i havent had food there as of yet. They have ample parking and a great wait staff!“

“Chicken rodeo sandwich, macaroni cheese, and short rib fries are absolutely amazing. I'm normally very picky on food but I would highly recommend trying the food. The time it took to smoke the meat and use really good cheese for the Macaroni just was the tip. Staff is amazing especially Chris and Nick great additions plus very knowledgeable. Love the atmosphere, live music, decor, and how chill it is.“

“The Village Pump is a great place! The atmosphere is extremely friendly. And the food is some of the tastiest in the area! We’ve been going there for many years and we have never had a bad meal yet! “Family owned bar and restaurant that serves excellent, home made goodness. The food is absolutely awesome and is very fair priced. The fish is done perfectly, I also recommend all three kinds of perhohi, the haluski, and the chicken noodle soup. It was a wonderful feast and cost less than $30! Our waitress was so kind and caring. This restaurant is a classic Youngstown bar and restaurant that opened in the 60’s and is still going strong. The food reminds you of grandmas cooking in the good old days. I highly recommend Teenie’s. Go there today!“

“All five stars? Well, it must have been Saturday, I must have gotten a rack of ribs with extra sauce that were smoky good, and the bartender must have done a great job taking my order and getting me a beer.

Seriously, I was absolutely impressed by the ribs. Cooked over charcoal or wood because the smoke ring was perfect, as were the ribs. No fat (NO fat!) and just a slight char on the ends. There are a lot of great rib joints around Youngstown, and since it's harder and harder to find roast lamb on Saturdays, ribs are my safety pick. The ribs at the Royal Oaks were perfect, better after I got them home and slapped them in a casserole and baked at 250 tightly wrapped for like 40 minutes. Absolutely great flavor that will impress anyone who likes a nice rack of ribs.

“I visited Irish Bob's two weeks ago for the first time. Mom and I took a two hour trip north from Coshocton County to attend the Halfway to St Patrick's Day celebration. The food and entertainment were both excellent! I regret not making it to your Pub sooner. I lived in Boardman for eight years but never went. At least now I know that there's at least one good Irish restaurant/pub in Mahoning County, for the next time I'm back in the area!“

Mondays is hit or miss, depends on if anyone answers the door. I’m kidding! And seriously. Two good bar pool tables. That and the ginger ale (I don’t even drink!) and the folks who patronize the place are why I like it here.“
