“Yank's is a cool little hole in the wall dive bar. I've always had a good time everytime I've been here. Cheap drinks and good food. If you've never been here you should check it out at least once but its definitely not a place for the weak at heart..lol.“

“I haven't been in there since my grandfather Frank Grande owned it. I'm giving 5 stars because I'm happy that something he loved is still going on at that corner. Lived right around the corner at 642 Beechwood Ave when I was a kid. Miss that place. Next time I come down I'll have to stop in.“

“All five stars? Well, it must have been Saturday, I must have gotten a rack of ribs with extra sauce that were smoky good, and the bartender must have done a great job taking my order and getting me a beer.

Seriously, I was absolutely impressed by the ribs. Cooked over charcoal or wood because the smoke ring was perfect, as were the ribs. No fat (NO fat!) and just a slight char on the ends. There are a lot of great rib joints around Youngstown, and since it's harder and harder to find roast lamb on Saturdays, ribs are my safety pick. The ribs at the Royal Oaks were perfect, better after I got them home and slapped them in a casserole and baked at 250 tightly wrapped for like 40 minutes. Absolutely great flavor that will impress anyone who likes a nice rack of ribs.

the food is cooked to perfection…be patient it’s worth it…always have sports on the tvs… the place has a home feeling…everyone is friendly the music is good…and i can play my numbers and keno… eat good or even vent to the bartender…this place is a must visit regularly…“

“Just had the baked cajun fish dinner. Fantastic! Nice sized piece of fish cooked perfectly. I had the piroghies and wife had the fries. Both very good. So much there, got lunch for tomorrow. Highly recommend.“
