“Last time I was there was about 8 years ago, but I asked for a cosmopolitan, and they made me the best ever. I didn't know a person in the bar, but everyone was so friendly I ended up staying for a few hours, and had a great time conversing and listening to some music. I haven't been back since, because I'm not really much of a drinker anymore, but I did love the socialization. UPDATE: NOW MY daughter Justina and her fiance´ Brandon are regulars at Clearys and they brought me there on my birthday for a few drinks. Had a great time again.??????“

The bar is BEAUTIFUL and they have several amazing local micro brews on tap. Ive heard the food is incredible but i havent had food there as of yet. They have ample parking and a great wait staff!“

the food is cooked to perfection…be patient it’s worth it…always have sports on the tvs… the place has a home feeling…everyone is friendly the music is good…and i can play my numbers and keno… eat good or even vent to the bartender…this place is a must visit regularly…“

“All five stars? Well, it must have been Saturday, I must have gotten a rack of ribs with extra sauce that were smoky good, and the bartender must have done a great job taking my order and getting me a beer.

Seriously, I was absolutely impressed by the ribs. Cooked over charcoal or wood because the smoke ring was perfect, as were the ribs. No fat (NO fat!) and just a slight char on the ends. There are a lot of great rib joints around Youngstown, and since it's harder and harder to find roast lamb on Saturdays, ribs are my safety pick. The ribs at the Royal Oaks were perfect, better after I got them home and slapped them in a casserole and baked at 250 tightly wrapped for like 40 minutes. Absolutely great flavor that will impress anyone who likes a nice rack of ribs.

The fish is done perfectly, I also recommend all three kinds of perhohi, the haluski, and the chicken noodle soup. It was a wonderful feast and cost less than $30! Our waitress was so kind and caring. This restaurant is a classic Youngstown bar and restaurant that opened in the 60’s and is still going strong. “I visited Irish Bob's two weeks ago for the first time. Mom and I took a two hour trip north from Coshocton County to attend the Halfway to St Patrick's Day celebration. The food and entertainment were both excellent! I regret not making it to your Pub sooner. I lived in Boardman for eight years but never went. At least now I know that there's at least one good Irish restaurant/pub in Mahoning County, for the next time I'm back in the area!“
