We shared a hot pretzel appetizer, which came with 3 sauces and was great. We both had the breaded and fried fish sandwich which looked exactly like the pictures on their menu! And it tasted better than its picture! We were there in midafternoon, and the place was more than half full, which tells you others feel the same way we do about it. “Came in tonight on my birthday. John was working and he was great! So friendly, answered all of our questions, we came in a bit later and he did not rush us. We had such a great time and chatted with John a bit. There are so many bars out there but the set up was special, and so was the service. Beer drinkers, you will love the selection, others will enjoy the hard liquor available, but everyone will enjoy the ambiance and friendly service you'll get when going to whistle and keg! “Food is BEST when Blaine or James is cooking. They are fast, & on point. (Blaine is my favorite & I'm sad he doesn't work weds anymore) Best bartenders are Leslie, Heather, & Moe. Leslie has one waiting on the bar b4 I even walk in the door! I don't have to wait for drinks & Moe delivers to the patio if I've been out there too long & she knows I'll be out. Some nights are slower than others, but that's expected anywhere. Karaoke is on Wednesdays & great fun. I've held 3 adult birthday parties there & Leslie went out of her way to make each one special! She even picked a cake up FOR me to help with preparation bc I was running around ragged! If I had to complain about something, it would be that certain liquors that I drink aren't always in stock & their one fridge doesn't keep the beer quite as cold as it should be. But the bartenders adjust & compensate by putting them on ice when they see someone is drinking a brand from that fridge. Then they're ice cold & perfect. They hold free comedy nights, & have bands play occasionally. They do holiday parties w/ free food & involve the kiddos during the day for Halloween & Christmas. (sign up req) Annual membership price is very reasonable & event nights are open to the public w/out memberships.“
“In from out of town for the Easter Holiday weekend. Met family there Friday and had to have the Battered Fish and Crab Tacos. Absolutely fantastic!! Have not been here in a few years, and was great then, still great now! Service was typical spot on. We sat outside and lots of room. If you have not been here, come!!Parking: Plenty of parking, several open areas even on a Friday Fish Night!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp, wheelchair accessible but probably requires some effort due to angle and door on the side lot. Didn't checkout the accessibility on the other entrance areas.“
“I've been here a few times. The food is good, probably better if you're gluten tolerant, but since I'm not, there are very few good options, and those options aren't spectacular. The seating here can be extremely uncomfortable if you get put in the wrong spot. The last time we went, my husband and I sat on the same side of a booth and I've never been in a worse seat at a restaurant. It literally caved in to the center so our spines were at an angle toward each other. We're regular sized people, on the thin side if anything. The only alternative seating available was a hard metal high-top stool with no back. I don't have back problems, I'm relatively young, but I was literally aching to get out of there for how cheap and poorly built the booth seat was.On the plus side, the service is always excellent here! If you can snag a comfortable seat and don't have dietary restrictions, you'll have a great time here.“
“We were looking for a place, where we felt welcome. We got some suspicious looks at first but after talking to the staff and owners, we knew we were where we needed to be. We are planning a trip to Youngstown just to show our appreciation! Ms. Dot got me putting ranch seasoning on my fries! Mickie! Them peppers Auntie!! Pickles were being delivered but I had to take a jar with me! Thank you so much for making us feel at home! We even had a great time with the patrons! We were advised to go to Frieda’s night club later that evening, based on the atmosphere we were looking for. We are definitely planning a trip just to visit again! And yes, my Wanda B’s peppers and my aunties pickles made it all the way back to TN! Paid extra for luggage but it was worth it!“

“We came here for drinks after a wedding and they were fantastic. My wife comes here often for drinks with her coworkers and has nothing hit great things to say every time. The only gripe I could think of is that there's only one private bathroom for each sex and when it's busy there is often a line. But the service is worth the wait for sure!“

“Nice bar with good music and fairly priced drinks. They have a few TV's showing sports and a pool table. The food they serve is well cooked, and they have security that keeps patrons from getting out of line. Basically it's a nice bar to get a drink.“

“T & J's Brickhouse is clean and pleasant with friendly, professional employees. They have entertainment on some evenings?, a pool league, and more. The back deck is enclosed with a stockade fence, has a good sound system for music, etc Although they have a limited menu, the food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. Try the quesadillas. You will so enjoy them!“
“I believe this is a private club but I could be mistaken about that. I've been here many years ago but I went with a group of people who were frequent regulars and its possible that they were members and I was their guest. Back then, in the early 2000s, I enjoyed myself in the presence of the patrons, a bar room full of people who were obviously all good friends which created an atmosphere that felt both fun and relaxing to say the least, all of these regulars treated me with welcoming kindness and acceptance. They served food and of course I ordered pasta which was totally amazing, the kind of amazing that could only be cooked by someone's grandmother born in Italy and brought with her a well guarded family recipe. If you have the opportunity to do so, definitely come here and experience this for yourself, I can promise you that you wont regret it and you'll enjoy yourself every moment spent there.“
“Teenie's is a local bar. Friday's they serve handmade pierogi's and fish baked, broiled or fried. Other side dished include cole slaw and mac and cheese which are all delicious but get there early because they draw a big crowd or call and order a pickup to go.“
