“We usually order from Chef Chen thru Grub Hub. But we were in the neighborhood so we stopped in for take away. A pretty shabby exterior. Rough parking lot in front. Building looks like it has been repurposed multiple times.
A large poster menu covered a front window. The counter was open to the cooking area where 3vpeople were very busy.
We noticed Lunch items on the menu. Dinner servings were huge, enough for 2 orv3 meals, so we ordered lunch items. They said it would take 15-20 min and it took 15. The bag with our food were heavy. No way this is a lunch serving.
When we got home, the servings were the same huge dinner serving, plus soup and drinks. We didnt even finish half.
Chef Chen's food has great flavor. Looks good and tastes good. Great value for money.“

“This place is not in the best area of town. You will feel uncomfortable driving around here now. But the food is amazing. The people are kind.
The place has been in the same location since I was a young child, and I still crave their food.
My go to meal is a beef with mixed vegetables with white rice. It never ceases to be a great meal.“

“I just moved to this area and I'm a huge fan of Asian food and this was really good. I ordered ahead of time for a later time in the day And they had it done and it was hot and fresh. It was everything I ordered plus some. I got a little cucumber vinegar salad that i didnt even order! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 it was sweet and a little bit of spice and crunchy and the shrimp and chicken Hibachi was perfectly seasoned and cooked. There was a good selection of vegetables I like how they added zucchini.
Also I got a spider roll sushi roll and it was fantastic I absolutely love soft shell crab and they knew just how to Accent it's amazing flavor I love this place so far!!!!!!“

“Who ever was cooking tonight (6/20/26) at bamboo garden in austintown, oh- amazing! So good!! This is the best Chinese takeout I've had in a very long time, if not, ever!!! It was hot, flavorful, just enough heat (spice), and did not skimp on the ingredients. The price was fair and it was ready in s reasonable amount of time. Thank you. You're awesome 😁“

“After many years, the quality of food is still incredibly the same!!! My family and I have moved back to the area and wanted some Chinese food for dinner. I decided to see if my childhood go to restaurant was still open. It was awesome from the food to the service. I ordered a lot and the woman even helped carried it to my van!!“

“Got the pork egg roll which was standard. Same with the steamed dumplings pretty standard but the sauce that came with them was weird. Odd color and texture plus flavorless. I still have 5 stars bc the main dish was great. Clean sauce, crisp veggies, and very tasty. Definitely recommend but also recommend them to check the dumpling sauce.“

“Purchased sesame chicken, vegetable lomein, sweet and sour chicken and pork egg rolls today. Everything was delicious. So good, we will be going back for more take out tomorrow. Staff were very friendly and my order was ready in 10 minutes. Highly recommend.“
“My family relocated here about 15 yrs ago and had tried all of the areas Chinese food. We found this place to be as close to back home as possible. The food back home is hard to match. I only wish this area had offered chicken fingers and fried chicken wings like back home, but all in all it’s a good place. I recommend it.“

Ignore all the bad reviews prior to mid 2025. I don’t know what was going on then but they changed hands mid 2025 and the food is absolutely amazing. Grew up my whole life in Philadelphia not far from Chinatown where some of the best American Chinese food can be found China House in Cortland competes.
There are a few tables for dining, but most people regard this as a takeout spot. The food is always ready and hot and absolutely tasty. They do not yet have delivery so you have to pick up which can be a bummer. Give it a try, I do not think you will be disappointed.“

“The good: nice variety. Coconut chicken was damn good. Peppered chicken was tasty and the korean chicken was prolly my favorite.
The meh: pot stickers and sauce were underwhelming. The pepper steak while tasty, the meat just had an unappealing look and texture. Same with the pork and mushrooms. Also i had numerous bites of chicken that had chunks of gristle. And while it happens every so often it just seemed more than usual.
Also the place seemed kinda sticky if ya know what i mean.
Other than that the peanut chicken, generals chicken and honey chicken were good enough to eat again. All in all the real good stuff and good enough stuff will bring me back. Oh, everyone was super friendly.“

“I got the BBQ braised beef as a combo plate, as well as crab rangoons. The beef was hard and dry, the chicken rice was good, and the rangoons were amazing. Overall decent experience. I ate inside and they had just cleaned everything but the table we sat at.“

“The new place is nice, the food still best oriental food in Warren. The older staff is friendly and tries to keep the younger staff in check. Unlike most places in town. Also Cash only as always! Most places are going to cash only around Warren, card fees are insane!“
